Vixen was overtaken by her connection to the animals and to 'purge' the bestial side from her, she had to tap into the human template. Now she can't tap into anything except humans (or metahumans). For example, she can access Geo-Force's terrakinesis, but she couldn't access a cheetah's speed.

I'm not sure if she can tap into aliens like Superman, but I think she can.

yeah, she tapped into superman's power in the latest issue of justice league of america.

I don't care which version of Vixen we are talking about, Cheetah goes one on one with Wonder Woman on a regular basis and even wins occasionally. She would walk away from a fight with Vixen without a fur out of place.

Cheetah. Vixen can tap, or at least did, into Superman's powers, but that doesn't mean she gets his amazing durability as well. That isn't exactly a superpower of his; it's natural. Cheetah would tear her up.

Well, if she's channaling the Kryptonian Animal, then she gets everything that goes with being a Kryptonian. If she can get durability of an elephant or healing of a lizard, then being damn near impossible to damage is just something she gets to be. No matter how it actually works.

Well, do we know if someone like Supes would have to be around though? I like the overall idea of her powers being haywire, but frustrated at the same time.

Also, I've always wondered this cause I've known Cheetah to be THE Wonder Woman villain that you know just like Black Manta is THE Aquaman villain you know for sure, etc etc...but what is so special about Cheetah that she can melee and sometimes out-melee Wondie?

Well, during that issue of JLA where she and Red Arrow got buired alive, she said she had Black Lightinings powers and he wasn't even on the scene when that s**t went down. So, it's possible to believe that they don't have to be near her neccesarily like Animal Man or anything.

I'm frustrated too. It seems like the only reason they made her powers all wonky was simply so they could write that buired alive story. And it wasn't even all that to begin with. The good thing is, whenever she gets her s**t together, she should be able to take from animals, and metas. Which would mean she could just take Cheetah's own speed, couple it with the strength of a bear, and hit her with a grizzley smack coming at twice the speed of sound. But that would be a perfect Vixen. One we are likely never to see with the state of the DCU at this point. :(

I'm not saying she isn't formidable...but I just don't think she would be able to defeat a much more experienced and versatile Hal. Energy blasts don't mean squat when you can throw up a shield with a thought, and a force field won't protect her when Hal can enclose her in an energy orb.

Yeah it matters because if he is close to water he has every animal under the sea as an ally...and i'd say that is a pretty HUGE and notable difference.

Aquaman hasn't actually used the help of Sea Creatures to "fight with or for him" really since the Bronze/Silver Age. :dry:

Any appearances where he has Sea Creatures with him in the Modern Age is not for the same purpose. Before he would have Sea Creatures doing certain things for him; like distractions for example.

The fight could take place in the desert, and because it is Waterbearer Aquaman, it wouldn't matter. It takes him a whole lot longer to dehydrate.

he still has the capability to do it though, and if he needs the help and is close to water i'm sure he would.

On a side-note its a crime how DC always overlooks Aquaman...with the exception of a few occasions he doesn't get to do a whole lot usually

I know who sister Superior is, not so much on Tomorrow Woman. I think I vaguely remember her. Joined the JLA for a short time, was actually a mole sent by Ivo or T.O. Morrow, or both, ended up sacrificing herself to save the world cuz T.O. likes giving Machines a soul? Yeah, I think that's who that was. yeah, Tomorrow Woman takes this one. That chick was in Supes league. Miss guns for prosthetic limbs doesn't stand much of a chance, but she is cooler than TW is.
