connor's the better fighter but robin's the better strategist and has a few tricks up his sleave. plus, he's a much better fighter in OYL since he took a year off to train with batman and nightwing. i think it would be a fun matchup. it's no worse than parasite vs. metallo.

Agreed :up: Strategy won't make that big a difference if they're thrown into the match unprepared. It'll come down to fighting skill -- which favors Connor.

robin has a lot of usefull tools in his utility belt, like smoke, gas and flash bombs, plus his bo staff and r-darts. i think it would be a pretty good fight. robin's one of the better fighters in the dcu since he's taken the last year off to train with bruce and dick. at their skill level, all it would take would be one good shot to a nerve cluster and the fight would be over. it could go either way, imo.

First of all, I can't believe someone brought up prep time for Robin. I mean, goodness, can we at least try to keep that disease contained:(?

Secondly, Connor wins the hell out of this one. He's a far better fighter than Robin, and recently he's gotten around to using trick arrows; catching them is not gonna help Tim now, nor are any of the tricks in his belt.

And he's gotten a lot of play when he first started, actually. It was a running gag that girls couldn't keep their hands off him.

Dude, I still think Tim can trump him:

1) Tim can catch arrows. Does Hawke know this? If not, he'd wouldn't hit him with trick arrows at first, ending his fate.

2) Tim's smarter, no doubt.

3) With Tim's gadgets vs. Hawke's arrows, Tim would win. Would you rather have gadgets from Batman or Green Arrow?

4) Hawke's a little better in martial arts, though, but Tim knows that. He would use every other resource first so it won't end up in a fistfight...

Saying that someone can catch arrows is one thing. Saying that someone can catch arrows shot by three of the most skilled archers on the face of the planet is a whole other thing altogether.

Connor's not just a little better at martial arts, he's a whole lot better. He's consistently placed in the upper rung of the top ten martial artists, sometimes even placed above Batman depending on who's doing the writing.

i looked him up on wikipedia and they didn't go into much detail on his skills. they only mentioned that he was trained in the ways of judo after he rescued the daughter of a pacific island chief. is he supposed to be one of the better fighters in the dcu? how much training has he had? is he comparable to any other fighters in the dcu?

Much better than the last match Metallo was involved in :up:. I could easily see this one going to either opponent depending on the level of power we want to give them.

In the end, I'm going with Metallo. Clayface can probably slither into his body, but Corben can create astounding amounts of firepower to fight him off with, and he can probably also electrify his internal framework at will, just in case Basil Karlo gets in there.

If I remember correctly he broke Orions arm and Orion sent his dog Sturmer to attack and the General got pushed into the negative zone thing.
