[Darth Wolverine]

A DC equivalent of Sparta's Marvel thread! It's simple: I post a match (for example, Batgirl vs Mary Marvel), and y'all vote for who you think would win. There's no real point to it, but it's a fun discussion and debate. We'll start off with some fairly well-known characters, and eventually get more obscure. Feel free to PM me any suggestions/requests.

I'd say Captain Marvel.

WW may be almost on Superman's level, but CM has shown himself to be Superman's equal in strength and speed, or at least incredibly close to being his equal. So, I give a slight edge to Marvel.

Well, anyway, I'd go with Wonder Woman. While not as strong perhaps, she's defintely a better fighter, can use her Tiara and Lasso as weapons, and doesn't hold back. Heck, Captain Marvel is in reality what? 12, 13? One look at Diana and those budding teenage hormones of his might turn him a drooling lap dog :D.

Like people said, she's been trained in ancient combat since birth. She has the mindset of a warrior and is willing to doing things other wouldn't in battle. Captain Marvel, for all his power, has the mindset of an idealistic teenager. While that may be a better and more endearing social quality, in battle against Wonder Woman it'd work against his favor.

Why: WW is stronger then CM...WW level of strenght is 100plus tons and CM is 95-100 tons..And don't forget he hav to share a portion of his strenght with MM/CMjr..Also her fighting skills r way beyond CM skills(If he have any)..

And not to forget CM have the strenght of Hercules and WW is stronger than Herakles...(Herakles spelling for Greek Gods/Hercules for the Romans)..

Hal, on the basis of Youth and more experiance inaffairs of cosmic magnitude. Most of Alans experiance was in terrestrial level fights. They are however, about as close to identical in power and ability as you can get. This was deliberate on the part of DC as they were stated as being alternate universe versions of the same basic character.

Except Alan Scott weilds a much more powerful energy source. Things have changed since the Silver Age, and Alan Scott has a lot more experience in dealing with his powers than Hal does, as well as having much more power, and his will power is practically second to none.

This is a very, very tough call for me, but ultimately I'm going to have to go with Hal Jordan.

Age and experience counts for a lot, but it is not the deciding factor; the few times Alan Scott went head-to-head with Kyle Rayner, for example, the matchs were hardly one-sided, and we're talking completely opposite spectrum in terms of age and experience.

Mary Marvel takes it easily; she has all of Captain Marvel's powers, plus boobs. Donna has a lot of fighting skill (trained with the Titans, then with the Amazons), but her raw power is a lot less than Wonder Woman's. I mean, a Superman robot killed her, for pete's sake.

That is, unless she's gone through some major power upgrade since she got resurrected as a goddess...but we haven't seen any of that yet, so we have to assume they don't factor. Whereas, we know Mary Marvel has the power of several gods.

That thing with the range has been gone for about the last decade (maybe two) by now. Animal Man can do everything Beast Boy can without actually having to shapeshift and a touch more as well.

I don't know where that close proximity thing from Firestorm's last issue came from. Animal Man was able to take the properties of any animal he damn well pleased as far as I recall.

A closer fight would probably be Beast Boy vs. Vixen. She's limited to one animal at a time, at least.

Okay, now some of you may think this is a pretty one-sided match, with Superman being the victor. But, if you think about it, this fight woul be over in seconds...and The Ray would be the winner. Why? Superman's powers are fuelled by solar power. All Ray would have to do is suck his reserves dry, and he'd be as vulnerable as any other man.
Ray gets my vote.

Ray wouldn't be able to suck Superman dry of his reserves the solar radiation isn't stored as light in Supermans body so Ray has no effect over energy in muscles or his body, but could block out any solar radiation getting to Superman. He's have to wait for Superman's own reserves to run out and then could beat him.

However, after living over 30 years on Earth, it takes quite a while for Superman's body to run out of solar radiation reserves.

If the Ray could avoid Supermans attacks and hold him off till he is weaker then he can win, however it would be very hard for Ray to do that, especially because he isn't as adapt to using his powers. His dad could make himself intangible and invisible but Ray hasn't quite got that far yet. It is possible for Ray to move quicker than Superman seeing as Ray can move at light speeds just above Supermans top speed.

I think if he is very smart the Ray would win. But Superman can still beat him, experience is very important in a match like this.

It'd be a very close fight, though. I think the deciding factor would be that Hal as Parallax was (as revealed in the Rebirth retcon) controlled by a villain and so it doesn't come down to Hal vs Kyle, it just comes down to yellow space bug vs Kyle.
