I put alot of work into Wonder Woman back in the day, and I had no problem turning her over to Apprentice. I was moving and wouldn't be able to play her. It seemed fair. I have no animosity towards BnK. Heck I like the guy. I just think he's being a bit stingy. How many characters does he need? Especially since he's not going to be able to post. Hell, Hal hasn't been involved in this whole season.

Here's a sample of my writing classic DC characters. Way back in Season II.

"By the Gods..."

Wonder Woman was lucky to be alive. She knew that. But that fact didn't make her feel any better. She had called this place home. She had really started a life for herself here in Gateway. It was a thriving city with wonderful people and great culture. She spent almost every morning at the Gateway Museum of Science and History. She drank her coffee there and looked at the latest exhibit before beginning her day. She would walk down by the bridge every night before sleeping. The view made her feel better and she never seemed to miss Themyscira when she was here. She had attended her first baseball game down at Dragon's Stadium. The competition appealled to her Amazonian nature and desire for sport. Gateway was HER town.



...and now it lay in ruins.


"Watchtower. I woke up and saw Gateway was --- I raced here but it was too late."


Suddenly the rocky piece of debris she was holding shatters under the strength of her hand.

There are only 2 people I know who I can talk about comics with. One is a guy I work with, but he stopped reading them years ago, so all we can really talk about is the movies, and the other is the manager at the Suncoast in the mall where I work. And I don't even know his name :(

While all my other friends and coworkers are saving money for clothes or furniture or payments or what-not, I'm up at the toy stores lokking for Marvel Legends and DCD.

Word to the wise: if size tags are around image tags, the boards will treat your images as just text. So, make sure that no size tags are around your image tags, and you won't have to deal witht eh frustration I just went through.

JRK, I know what your big reveal is, and I know when you want it to be. I also know that the "one" night in Gotham completely destroyed continuity for the ENTIRE season. Wieg, Batman, and Twy tried to make up for that. Your stubborness concerning this is, quite frankly, exactly what I did during the Darkseid arc in the OU RPG, when someone completely annihilated one of my big plots in the arc.

You know what that whole affair taught me? Sometimes, you suck it up, and go with things that aren't necessarily to your liking. You roll with the punch as best you can.

Look at it this way: Batman has a month to peronsally observe what's going on in Gotham. He has a month that he can use to raise Ibn and debate his choice. You have a great oppurtunity here for some amazing RPing, but if and only if you accept that events in Gotham took WAY too long and that other players had to move on.

In Metropolis, Superman is recovering from his battle with Rudy Jones (AKA the Parasite) and attempting to help the city recuperate from the Genesis Strain, a biological weapon unleashed on the city by Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Assasins. Lex Luthor has been elected President of the United States (again), and is in a war with Ra's and the League due to the death of his daughter.

Gotham has, apparently, been caught in a temporal singularity and has been stuck on the same night for about a month or so. >.>




GL, MB and I have moved it forward to two weeks...but Gotham is still out of the loop with the world so to speak.


Is there anyway to have an outside influence come in and help Gotham get back on it's feet again?

Batman will be making a GA post to move the rest of us along.

Jumping two weeks forward in Gotham may not be enough, unless you plan on jumping forward again. The election was run and it seems like at least a month or two have gone by elsewhere in the game. GA and Sinestro are planning on jumping ahead a month or so.





Why is it you guys cannot finish up that arc? I know The Question is out for like 2-3 weeks he said but he also said how he was fine with someone 'bunnying' his character. That way you guys can not be stuck in a month :P.

Because honestly in an arc that started out as between MST3K and I, It's become something much bigger than I imagined. Something in which for me Ra's has been pushed to the sidelines.

It's nothing personal, I would just rather concentrate on the Marvel RPG.

Hope no one minds that I killed the classic Blackrock. The stone will still be there when all is said and done, so if anyone wants the character in the future, they can always take one of the other characters who have assumed the mantle of Blackrock. Silverstone didn't really have any unique characteristics over those guys anyway, other than the fact that he was the creator of the actual stone.

And yes, I plan on killing more villains, but only ones that very few people would even recognize from the comics, like Rock, Loophole, or Thaddeus Killgrave (implied death) from my closing posts as Lex. Nobody seemed to bat an eye when I did that, so I figure as long as the characters aren't well known and the circumstances are in good taste, I can get away with it.

And, of course, provided that I don't go overboard and kill dozens of NPC characters. I only plan on offing a couple more villains.

I need someone who can blow up a plane.Nearly all of Superman's rogues can blow up a plane (I actually can't think of one that couldn't do that). Take your pick, but you probably want to choose an opponent whom you wouldn't have to water down in order to conceivably fight them.

The Toyman or the Prankster would probably be my recommendations for Robin to fight. Once you get past their gimmicks (should be easy enough to do), they're just guys who aren't even close to being physically intimidating.

Or you could just fight ninjas and Intergang soldiers.

I don't think the bomb killed all the population in the Haven, it probably left a few tens of thousands or more alive (out of a couple of million). I imagine it's a lot like the bad sections of Gotham. Lot's of poor and criminals and corrupt making the city their own, and probably a number of ordinary people who refused to leave. (Except even the poor and gangs live in the 'rich' areas of the city because most everyone left or died.)

It would be a big rebuilding project, the honest government trying to repopulate the city while the rampant corruption is doing the same so the can make loads of money of the criminal element that rules the city.

Batgirl would probably be right at home. And if Nightwing returned after seeing the population regrowing, there'd be some fun interaction.

No, the bomb wiped out EVERYONE in Bludhaven. The place is a graveyard. And THAT Venom-Bomb was just the smaller prototype version! :eek:

And on that note, yes I am back. The Joker is tucked away in Arkham, but I was wondering what had happened in the RPG since I left. Anyone wanna update me?

No, it was just gas. The bomb itself was a highly-powered dispersal agent, which pumped the GAS ( the real weapon) over a great distance, covering Bludhaven.

It is possible to enter the city. The Joker and his villain buddies already did. But its a macabre sight. Dead bodies all over the place, grins on their faces. The place has became a crime haven of sorts, with the dregs of Gotham - drug addicts, homeless, fugitives - filtering over to the now-empty Bludhaven. But apart from that, nothing.

Also, MB has Nightwing somewhat tied to Bludhaven *Nothing fancy but he has mentioned it a few times* I would like you contact to him and discuss the state of Bludhaven before you make any concrete plans. *MB is the greatest to work with in my very bias opinion, so I see no problems between you two*

Just to let you all know my on-line time is about to take a serious hit. I now have a full-time job and I start tomorrrow so I will not be posting nearly as much.

HOWEVERI will not make the same mistake that I made last time when this happened. I will NOTbe leaving the hype or the RPGs that I am involved in. I made that mistake before and I will not make that mistake again.

I am enjoying the company of my fellow RPGers way too much to walk away again.

I will post as often as I can and when time permits.

I was going to have her start in a well-not-so-destroyed city, feel that she wasn't making a difference there, and head to Bludhaven where everything is dead and covered with a thick layer of crime. After doing this for a while, if it is still alright and there isn't a Bat already on the team, she would some how join the league.

I will talk to MB and see if we can do anything and confirm each others plan on Blud. I enjoy working with him. We did some Typhoid/DD stuff in Marvel and it was a blast.
