Villains that we may never see?

It occurred to me that since they used Shocker, Rhino & Mysterio in video games that were based on the movies, does that mean they have no intention of actually putting them in films?:spidey:

Almost anyone worth a damn has been in one or more of the games by now; if everyone in them was exempt for some nysterious reason, that would invalidate most of the rogue's gallery. I am also unsure where this idea springs from, because the games and the movies have quite different audiences. A wide age-group is watching the movies - the age 10 to 21 set [for the most part] is playing the games.

Sandman appeared in the 60s,Amazing Friends,and the 80s solo Spider-Man cartoons.Im also pretty sure he appeared in some games during the 90s.

John Semper who was the head writer and producer of the 90s Spider-Man series wanted to use Sandman but like Electro he couldn't due to them being the villians for Cameron's film.

Though he did get to use Electro at the end of the series when the film didn't pan out.

Though the question was, which Villian wont we see, I agree hammerhead--though I'd like to see him in the Daredevil sequel. Why, you ask because it make alot more sense--With Matt being a Lawyer and Kingpin, needing a crime boss that would be for hire. but thats just what I think.

I believe they would put in
Venom because there is a too big of a following
Lizard because he has been introduced already
Chameleon because he is one of the originals that Stan lee loves
Vuture I believe would have a good chance.

well, statistically, it would be nearly impossible to include all the villains and do justice to them in a proper way.. the "best" we might hope for in some cases would be a "james bond"-style opening where (fill in the blank) is in the middle of a scheme, and Spider-Man foils them (cue title credits)... But I suspect that Raimi is probably not going to do that here.. and who knows if he's even interested in part 4..

I wouldn't mind seeing that once; I'd like something like that in a lot of superhero movies, but I feel that whoever does it first is gonna pretty much "own" it, & then if it pops up in another franchise they'll be accused of ripping off the bit.

I don't want to get your hopes up but I read a statement on another website from Stan Lee.

He was asked before Doc Ock was in SM2 who he would suggest to directors to be potential villains. He mentioned Doc Ock, Sandman, Mysterio and Kraven.

There was no mention of Venom or any other baddie.

I hope that Stan is allowed a say in what characters should be used for future films.

Since Otto Octavius got remade into a sympathetic Curt Connors-type in SM2 and Venom might appear as a toothy monster villain in SM3, I'm starting to think that the Lizard might not get a shot at being a Spidey movie villain after all. :(

Mysterio,Kraven, Rhino, Shocker, Chameleon they could put as secondary villains like Scarecrow was in batman begins. Batman begins shows that they can put more then one villain in a super hero movie without ****ing it up. There was 3 in batman begins.

and Mysterio’s costumes not ridiculous??. He`ll just change and up date the costumes like he did for GG and doc ock. IMO there costumes look better in the movies then in the comic books. rhino and mysterio looked pretty cool in the Spider-Man 2 video game with new costumes. i like the look of Ultimate Rhino

Agree Mysterio if done by Sam Raimi would probably have changes to his outfit as did GG and Doc Ock.

I have been saying for ages that it would be great if anyone (with artistic skills) on this forum could revamp Mysterio complete with dome so he looks suitable for a movie.

If the directors really want to do Venom properly in SP3 then they can sure as hell create Mysterio, Scorpion or whoever to satisfy the cinema audience for the next sequel.

If you have any thoughts regarding costume design let us read them?

Not sure that by having villain say mysterio in game would rule him out and besides it would seem daft to people like Stan Lee or Sam Raimi let alone us fans.

I'm sure we may see classics like Scorpion and Mysterio make it onto a script not too far in the future.

Personally, I'd love to see scorpion. I was never a HUGE fan of him, but he'd be pretty cool. Vulture would be pretty cool on screen. A movie with Mystero would be pretty badass, too. A lot of acid trip special effects. heh. I'd also like to see Morbius. For some reason, I think if done correctly, his story could be pretty cool. Maybe then we'll see some intelligent peter/spidey situations.

We'll never see Morbius and Man-wolf because of the Blade movies and Underworld movies,vampires and werewolves have been used a lot in film.We'll never see The Enforcers,Cardiac,Stix and Stones,Carrion,Vermin,Morlun,The Gray Goblin,Calipso,The Beatle,Tarantula,that woman Doc Ock,too many to list.

Carnage could be really cool if he wouldn't be butchered for a younger audience, venom would be all the cooler as well.
I don't think we will see the lizard as there wouldn't be enough dialogue for the hero and villain to go between. I'd love scorpion and mysterio to make it on the screen. Rhino is just too goofy for me.

Personally I wanna see Morbius! I think he is one of Spidey's very unsung villains and I think his story would flow easily to the big screen. When big budget film franchise starts going sour what do you do? Why throw in a Vampire! Thats What! :o

Carnage is overrated, as is Venom. People accuse Green Goblin of being a Joker knock-off, but their similarities are on the surface. Carnage ripped off Joker's mentality. And truth be told, the #1 thing that put me off of symbiotes is overuse/overexposure. I get sick of hearing about them. I get tired of seeing them. Neither of them have really accomplished anything or had an ORIGINAL impact on Spider-Man's life, & their motifs are meh. I still don't understand why someone who hates Spider-Man so much would mimic him in so many ways. Why wear a spider on your chest?
And when I say original impact, what has Carnage done to Spidey that Venom hasn't? What has Venom done to him that the Goblin, Mysterio or Kraven haven't, and more effectively?
