i know there has'nt been an announcement made about a teen titans OYL, but still the whole OYL thing is still gonna affect them. what are your thoughts on the new roster and how do you think johns is going to take the book in terms of the characters handling thier mentor's absense? one thing I've noticed is that cyborg is no where to be seen in the last 2-3 issues of the book, whats up with that?

I thought that was just a rumor.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the Titans' OYL changes a lot. They've got the potential to have some of the most radical changes, given that they're mostly teenagers. One year for a teenager can change things for a teenager a hell of a lot more than it can for an adult. I think Johns'll do something interesting with the jump forward and we'll get to see a lot of changes, hopefully all for the better, among the Titans.

The one thing I'm extremely worried about is Superboy. I didn't think any of the silhouettes on the OYL cover looked like him, and there's all this stuff about him and Superboy Prime (who should probably be more powerful than Conner) fighting. I'm really hoping Superboy doesn't get killed off or merge with Superboy Prime or lose his powers in IC. He and Robin are my favorite Titans and, quite frankly, the book just wouldn't be as good to me without their friendship forming part of its basis.

I'm enjoying Robin's series a lot. What's the big deal about his being affiliated with a paramilitary group? They're offering him greater resources, a chance to hone his skills, and they're occasionally helping around Gotham and Bludhaven. Seems like a good deal to me.

As for whether Tim will be on the Titans... I'm not sure, you tell me. ;)

Perhaps,like I said for Robin,its probably a step into her "Titans Tomorrow" counterpart.In that storyline she had what looks like to be the same tiara or slightly a modified one just so that theres no resemblence.Remember in "Titans Tomorrow" how there were statues of their mentors?Cassie ended up idolizing Zeus,so maybe you do have a point with her presumebly becoming a princess.Another thing I noticed,if you look close enough in the picture you can almost see what looks like to be wings on the side of her head that goes with the tiara.Its darker then the outline of her body.

I also hope Kid Flash gets a modification in his suit.

Dick is rumored to be the new commish of Gotham,while Jason Todd might take over Nightwing.This is just speculation though.Bruce Jones is avoiding questions of Dick still being under the mask in OYL.In the Nightwing cover to March its shown that hes in New York City with holding the knife that The Red Hood/Jason Todd utilizes as his weapon of choice.Its also filled with blood which makes people wonder what could have happend.

Arsenal will still be with the Outsiders if you look at the cover to OYL.Starfire might still be with the team or manuever back to the Titans.

As for Donna,Im not so sure.

I'm fairly sure he's not going to join the military team. He'd have to give up his secret identity, for one thing. Working with them isn't a problem for me, though. It's interesting to see where his relationship with them goes, actually. If the rumors of Tim killing someone before OYL are true, becoming acquainted with the military could well play a part in that, too.

The green did change to black. Ed McGuiness's cover to Robin just looks funny. The new Robin suit is basically a practical version of the TNBA costume

No way,I like the new suit way more.It makes him look as if he matured alot in OYL and developed his own path of being his own hero.This suit makes him look darker and more true to his name of Robin,with the new cape and scallops.

Dont get me wrong,I love hus current suit.But this one adds new meaning to the whole concept of who Tim Drake will be come OYL.One of the things I cant wait for is how he chooses to wear it.Now thats going to be awesome.

I have a feeling Bruce will suspect Tim to some degree, even though Tim will say he didn't do it, and Bruce will fire him from the Robin role. Tim in turn will say "**** off" and continue being Robin... dun dun dunnnn... a rogue Robin!

Honestly, I have no idea. I'm just blowing smoke out of my ass.

I've never seen Gar do much leading, except maybe in the previous arc against Brother Blood when practically everyone else was missing. Usually Robin or Cyborg just automatically step into the leader role because it comes so naturally to them. It'd be nice if his recovering his memories of the Doom Patrol leads to his growing up a bit and taking command of that team, though.

Cassie looks great. Not only is the eagle decal an iconic Wonder Woman look, it also ties her to her heritage of Zeus' daughter. Oddly, I don't see her lasso anywhere. And I hope she's not wearing jeans specifically as a way of remembering a deceased Superboy...:(:(:O

Superman and Aquaman have never been very good mentors for their respective 'sidekicks,' either. Superman openly treats Conner like the bastard kid brother he never wanted. Aquaman's mostly told Lorena to stay out of trouble so far. Not to mention she still hasn't gotten any damn powers yet. I don't really consider the ability to breathe underwater a power if she hasn't got anything else to go with it.

No one knows. Jay's still around but cut off from the Speed Force. It was implied in IC #4 that Bart, Wally, and Wally's family all went somewhere other than the Speed Force, too. I'm fairly sure I remember someone at DC saying that the new Flash will appear somewhere in one of IC's later issues during WonderCon, too, so I suppose we'll find out soon enough.

I've always wondered about that. I think its a subjective thing. Would the Police Commissioner of a major city have a working relationship with a vigilante? Even if he wasn't dressed as a bat, just a regular guy trying to help? I'd say his ass would be in jail for obstruction. I think the DCU probably has its on set of laws that deal with the crazy **** that goes on in th DCU.

Legally the GCPD didn't have any relationship with Batman. That's why Stacy, who was employed through a temp agency and thus wasn't officially associated with the GCPD, was the only one who could touch the Bat-signal in Gotham Central. Granted, the Bat-signal did still sit atop the GCPD building until War Games, but I guess Gotham City's elected officials chose to let that slide. If Batman's presence is beneficial to the city and the people of the city, I could see them bending the law a bit to accommodate him.

Geez, that was a while ago.

Teen Titans: Superboy succumbed to Lex Luthor's programming and turned against the team. He eventually managed to stop himself while he was beating the crap out of Wonder Girl. He went into seclusion on the Kent farm. The Titans went on as normal with a reduced roster--Cyborg and Starfire went to space to help Donna Troy with the fight out there, Conner was still on the Kent farm, and Robin had problems of his own--and they fought Brother Blood again. Blood had managed to resurrect a bunch of dead Titans, including Omen, whom he considered his new "mother." Beast Boy led Wonder Girl, Speedy, Raven, and Kid Flash in a fight against Blood and found that Kid Eternity was chained to the doors between life and death, which is why Blood was able to resurrect the dead Titans. Kid Eternity dealt with Blood pretty harshly and then went off to parts unknown. After that, Superboy Prime (the pre-Crisis Superboy) showed up at the Kent farm to kill Conner and take his place as Superboy. Prime beat the crap out of Conner, Conner called the Titans, Prime killed a few Titans, and Prime was finally stopped when Wally, Jay, and Bart threw him into the Speed Force.

Outsiders: Indigo turned out to be Brainiac 8, a sophisticated android descendant of Brainiac. She kicked the Outsiders' asses the first time they fought, but the next time Shift managed to break through Brainiac 8's programming and reach the Indigo personality. Indigo forced her body to shut down, basically killing herself to save the team. After that, Black Lightning contacted Arsenal for help and they, Katana, and Metamorpho finished an old Outsiders case. The current Outsiders then proceeded, also with a reduced roster because Shift and Jade went to space to help Donna Troy and Nightwing was busy self-destructing over in his own comic, and ran a few missions as usual. Katana decided to stay with the current Outsiders after her sword proved useful in defeating Sabbaq. Most recently they tried to infiltrate the Society with Arsenal posing as Deathstroke.

It's still technically a rumor at this point, but it looks likely. Here's the thing, though: There are three covers with a central character (Robin on the first, Beast Boy on the second, Wonder Girl on the third) surrounded by hidden characters. There are also three Titans-related teams post-OYL (the Teen Titans, the Doom Patrol, and the Titans East). Here are the three covers for reference:

When will Aquagirl (Lorena Marquez) join the team? I mean, she was awesome in "Titans Tomorrow" and I think she'd be a great addition. But with Aquaman not being Arthur Curry come OYL, what will happen to her? I don't want the character being forgotten about, so I hope she either has a rightful spot in the current TT roster, or hell maybe even the secret Titans East. But who remember Lorena having a strong bond with Ravager as said in "Titans Tomorrow"? They were said to be close friends. So when Ravager joins the team, will that be when she does also? What do you guys think?

I don't think it's that unlikely. So Mia has to be extra careful about sex--big deal. Not every couple has to have sex, and I imagine Mia probably would favor the less physical, more romantic things in a relationship given that she was working as a child prostitute no more than a couple of years ago, if that.

Yes she does have HIV, but that doesn't mean her and Robin can't date. I mean there are some people who have strong feelings for eachother, but don't usually have sex.
