oh, its getting pretty obvious how gina came up with that review she wrote. saw some (stolen) pics. read some stuff. made up a bunch of crap. (cyke in the mansion, colossus petting the kid, rogue's streak not centered, vinnie jones inteviews, etc.) by now, i could have written that review.

EDIT: Why is that whenever I critique something around here lately people are coming back with "If it were Storm you wouldn't be saying that?" :rolleyes: No offense, but Storm is not the barameter for my judgement and opinion process.

For instance, in the "We Hurt The Ones We Love" thread, some were quick to say "If Storm died you wouldn't feel this way", etc. What for? Storm has no bearing on Cykes--he's a completely different topic and character.

In this case, why is she being used as a comparison factor? She is a woman--the mother figure of the Mansion. Her relationship dynamics are completely different from the male figures there. So if she is carressing a child (like a mother would do regardless of the child's sex) it's a bit different than if a grown man does the same for little kids who are not related to them. It's just...different.

I've been informed that Yahoo! and IGN will be getting some officially released/ authorized 'artwork' at some point, due to a specific deal with Fox. I've heard "soon", but can't given exact dates yet. Maybe a week or two, not sure :confused: The reason for the hold up on official image releases is, well...you can guess.

Well, I for one would like to say that looking at that picture all I saw was Colossus comforting a child that was in distress, like most people would do in the same situation. How people can read anything more into such an innocent picture I really don't know. Now don't get me wrong, I'm pretty hardened to the nastiness of the world myself, but not to such an extent that I'd become blinded by a perfectly normal scene.

My assumptions were equally as fallible as yours, if that's anything to go by.

The problem with your reasoning was its basis in question. Amazing how size of a print can revise one's perception.

Thank you ljr. I'm getting quite fed up with people questioning others' intelligence, eye sight capabilities and even sexual orientation because they don't agree with certain opinions. It's taking place all over this board and it's bordering on stupid. I'm not quite sure why we are blowing such miniscule things way out of proportion around here lately--but it really needs to stop.

We need to cease putting others under a microscope simply because our views may differ. And some of us really need to develop a sense of humor.

I said Sunspot is not black but mulatto (as many people in Brazil, they've got black and white ancestors because of the Portuguese colonization)... they said "mulatto" is the same that "colored" and criticized me because of it. :rolleyes:

In the picture from Wizard, you can clearly see they look like reading glasses. The kind with no top part so that a person can see when he/she isn't reading. Look at the color of the skin. Its too bright blue. Every other picture of Beast is him being a darker more navy blue. The hair is out of style to. Just look at the difference. IT ISN'T BEAST.

Lemme personally thank Antonello Blueberry and a few others beforehand who took the pictures and posted them nice and big for all to see. We're all subscribers on these and similar boards because we're all fans, and I thought we all recognized that.

Therefore, to obtain items that you know we all have gathered online to see, and for then any reason decide to withhold them from the community while, at the same time, telling everyone what you have and won't let anyone see, is to me the height of despotism. If I had something I didn't want anyone to see, why then would I let anyone know I HAD them? In MY mind, I'd do it only because I want to start trouble, make people jealous, pick favorites, divide the community, lord it over others, make others feel inferior, and inflate my own self-importance.

Incredibly sad to use these forums to prop one's own flagging ego. Not to mention EXTREMELY aggravating for me. I didn't come in here to find out what I CAN'T see, but what I can, and I truly thank everyone who understood that and stayed true to the REAL REASON why this site, and others like them, exists.

And according to previous posts, the pics are no longer forbidden. One of the mods were giving permission a week ago (J. Freefall, if I'm not mistaken), and now the sticky message that told us not to is gone.

The only reason why there was reluctance is because this woman decided that even though her pictures are available to get, save, and repost from another source--she didn't want anyone to see them unless SHE gave permission. The only thing I dont like about Grammers Beast is that he is not slouched, but you know what? Him standing upright shows more of an importance. He just looks like he belongs in the presidential cabinet, mutant or not.
