Might seem like a silly question to some, but will they just shave Clive Owen's head and slap some clay on his face for his character as Dwight before he gets his "new face" in 'A dame to kill for'?

Or a bald cap...

yep

that hasn't been confirmed at all. And making Clive look bald and adding some prosthetics are hardly a sure thing when the goal is making him look like an unrecognizable person YET have it be natural and realistic looking. If they wanted to use the same actor for both versions they should have added prosthetics to the first movies version and not used them in the second or atleast used less of them and in different ways in the second.

See, that was the problem I had when thinking about it, but Clive Owen IS Dwight now - another actor just wouldn't fit the character the same

I agree, prosthetics is the only way to go now.

^ from the emotional Clive Owen man-crush standpoint, not from the logical one.

Why not have some other guy do the acting and have Clive do a voiceover?

everyone is so hung up on the fact that clive didn't wear any prosthetics as post-op dwight but i,for one,am glad that they didn't give him any prosthetics.the reason I feel this way is because,imo,post-op dwight looks more natural than pre-op dwight.i bet if anyone not familiar with the comics saw a pic of both pre and post-op dwight side by side they would say that post-op dwight is his real face and pre-op is his changed face;i sure as hell thought so.so with that being said,i say use prosthetics on clive for ADTKF.

it would be stupid on their part to do that.there are so many reasons as to why they should NOT go that route but the most crucial reason is because dwight's eyes never changed.since dwight is basically dead in the eyes of both versions and clive has shown us the "death" in his eyes in certain points in the big fat kill(movie),it would have a greater impact if everything is so unrecognizable but his eyes are still the same.this is what i think.

I hope so.

Clive is the only Dwight.

It;s one of the silliest desicions in the course of making films.

They cannot pick another actor at least Mr. Owen himself don,t want or can't go back. They can disguise him like they did with Mickey Rourke, but is it me or the ADTKF Dwight looks more skinny of the face? If yes, perhaps it can be fixed in the make-up process

like i said,post-op dwight looks more natural the pre-op.that's why i would have no problem seeing clive wearing prosthetics in ADTKF.

Clive would have to wear prosthetics. I suppose it wouldnt look terrible when mixed with the green screen effect. I thought Rourke and Dle Toro looked a hell of a lot sillier when they they had the prosthetics but didnt have the green screen in some of the interviews.

It's not that green screen that hides it, it's the fact that it's black and white and even Rob has said that the prosthetics look better in black and white and can hide alot. But I thought it still looked pretty good in the interviews. It's always cool to see actors in costume doing interviews. It was like really hearing Marv talk about the movie.

Clive Owen was on the Daily Show recently and it sounded like he is officialy on board.

Clive might not play Dwight for this one. I saw that Stewart episode too, but it's not official. I hope he is going to be in it though.

If anyone has read A Dame to Kill For they'd know that the post-surgery Dwight appears in the yarn as well. Whether Clive will portray Dwight in the last acts of the yarn is not in question. Wether he'll portray him for the first several acts IS.

I really think they should cast him in the earlier take on Dwight either way. He's physically slightly different, but having the same actor would make the transition seamless.

Its obviously going to just be makeup/prostetics...

True. The Dwight look from BFK is in ADTKF. But Owens should play post and pre.

Serious. I hate it when they change actors on anything. On Charmed, I lost interest after Shannen Doherty left the show, I couldn't stand Mortal Kombat 2, you could tell the actors were different (didn't help starting it RIGHT where the first one ended, either), plus, I will never watch any episodes of Bewitched after season 5 (when Dick york left and someone replaced him).

Clive. Come back to Sin City or we'll get Rosario on your ass.

Clive's one of my favorite actors right now. I was hoping he would stop being such a d*** and take that Bond role. He would have been INCREDIBLE as Bond!!!!

I don't mind the current bond. We have to wait and see him in action before we can really make a proper and valid judgement.

Judging on looks alone is wrong and should be considered a crime :o

I don't have any problem with Craig, really. Never said that. But come on. You gotta admit. Owen would have been a dope Bond.
