I guess this point won't be stressed early on, for the first season anyway.. But I'm hoping that some characters from the comics are eventually introduced..

We've already seen Hannibal King..
Frank Drake is a possibility.. Quincy Harker, Rachel VanHelsing.. others from the Tomb of Dracula series..

outside of high-profile Marvel characters, I wonder who else could possibly show up in the series..

Blade is basically a loner. That's how he works best. One of the main elements in "Trinity" that hurt the overall story was tampering with that.

I like the idea of Morbius. Hell, he should've been in Blade Trinity.

What about the vampire Night Terror? Get somebody like Keith Hamilton Cobb-back in Tyr (Andromeda) look and I think that would be pretty cool.

Or a slightly modified version of Varnae-just make him a monstrous looking vamp in the mold of Damaskinos (Blade 2) instead of a demon.

Wouldn't mind seeing a return of Drake/Dracula either, but change the actor, perhaps even the gender.

Dominic Purcell is a series regular on FOX's Prison Break, which has been picked up for a second season.

The reason I would like another actor playing Dracula is because of Purcell's role in Prison Break, which KenK mentioned, but also I want to see a different take on the character.

I thought Trinity's Drake was a bit unimpressive as Dracula. But that had nothing to do with Purcell, who I liked in John Doe, but moreso Goyer's direction. Goyer could redeem himself, and maybe to some extent Trinity by giving us a depiction of Dracula truly worthy of the name.

I personally wouldn't mind seeing a female in the role. Not counting Danica Talos-who really couldn't hold a candle to Blade and was Drake's sidekick/servant in the end-Blade hadn't faced a vampiress that was a real threat to him, or could rival him.

I just have this vision of Gina Torres's Dracula matching up with Sticky's Blade. That would be kickass.

Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing Smallville's John Glover doing a guest star role. He is awesome as Lionel Luthor. I think he would be similarly awesome pitted against Blade.

Correct. I was thinking more along the lines of Glover playing a Lionel-like character. I read that he had once played the Devil on the show Brimstone, so perhaps he could do another supernatural turn-as the demon Varnae. That could be like Lionel Luthor unleashed or something.

I agree with those who suggest Morbius. Brother Voodo would also be a good choice since he too is supposedly being considered for his own series. Perhaps a Brother Voodo appearance in Blade can serve as an introduction like aquaman appearing on Smallville.

The Punisher should appear in an episode when Blade is framed for murder or something, and Castle steps in to execute him. And Morbius is a given.
