View Full Version : Dateline catching pedophiles again!

I just finish watching MSNBC airing of that big internet predator sting, and Chris was so cool as can be! If you haven't seen this episode of Dateline it airs tonight on MSNBC at 11:00pm again. It's so hilarious how these sick perverts take off running when they show up for the sting operation thinking they're there to meet a teenage boy or girl and Chris cooly walks out from the closet...!!!!
http://www.amquix.info/dateline/photo_chris_hansen.jpg

On a serious note: A lot of these perverts are pillars of the community, so beware. The group that helped put this sting operation together is known as 'Pervertedjustice.com'. They're a group that pose as underage children then turn the transcripts over to the authorities to nail these pedophile bastards. They even post a pic and the transcript of the suspect and the alleged child on there website:

Yeah, the naked guy part was disturbing.

What was funny was that they stung that exact same guy the next day, doing it again, and Chris said, "I've been in television for 25 years, and i have never been in a loss for words!" as the guy kept saying "...i just came to get something to eat"!

In a sense I feel bad for them and in a way I don't. I feel bad for them because it's like they don't know any better; yet, I don't feel bad for them because they willingly go to a 12 or 13 year olds house and intend on doing physical harm to them.

The doctor seemed a bit naive and not too creepy.

As I said, the rabbi and the naked one really disturbed me and it's people like them that need to be put away or castrated.

But seriously have any of these guys heard women their own age? And if they can't get any, there's always prostitution for them. :o

The most pathetic individual was the one who came there and embarassed himself. He looked like he was about to cry, and he swore he would never do that again. The VERY NEXT DAY, PervertedJustice members enticed him to come to a local McDonalds, because the sick freak was under the impression that he was going to meet some minor. WTF? That was pathetic. These individuals should receive the worst punishments from the law, but I doubt that it will happen.

I always thought it was a good idea to put child molesters in with the general population in prison and either let them kill them or rape them, which ever they want to do.

Superman79
02-03-2006, 09:19 PM
You're honestly being too kind, IMO. :o

damn straight...a bullet to the brain is far to quick, they need to suffer a bit more.

Like did you guys see the story about Jetsetta Gage in Iowa? She was 10, raped and suffocated to death by a guy who just got out of jail for molesting a 7 year old. Since Iowa has no death penalty he's gonna (hopefully) get life.

Frankly, I'd like to get that guy in a small windowless room with a lead pipe...I'd show him a thing or two about hurting an innocent little kid...THEN i'd put the bullet in his head...:marv:

Brodie The Wise
02-03-2006, 09:20 PM
there was taht one guy who was convicted of molesting a kid, but before he was taken to prison, this guy stabbed him in the chest, so the brother of the childmolester, who claimed he was innocent all along, burned down his house and killed him, his wife, and his three children. Turns out the guy was innocent all along.

Y'know, I like sending these sick ****s to prison. See how they like getting raped.

I just don't get how this doesn't count as entrapment. I mean, the decoys are saying they want sex, right? I don't get how that works, isn't it legally entrapment? How exactly does it work? Are there different laws for internet predators? Not that I mind, just curious.

Run Master Bruce, ruuunn!!! They're going to arrest you!!

vindrow
02-03-2006, 09:26 PM
IF i'm not mistaken its only entrapment if the cop starts the transaction...for example if you have an undercover cop posing as a hooker and she asks the person if he wants sex for money then its entrapment, but if he does it first then it isnt. If anyone has a better handle on this or if I am mistaken, then please correct this.

This is a looser form of entrapment...technically entrapment is setting up a situation in which to catch the thug red handed...like in possession of drugs, or in this case actually molesting the child...

Here you are merely offering an enticement (which still sounds like entrapment i know, but it's not) and if the thug pushes the matter forward after an initial contact, then it's completely legal to nail these bastards.

At least that's how we learned it in Criminal Law class...

I wonder if they ever catch women trying for kids.I've always seen a bit of a double standard here. I don't think there have been any studies that prove being a woman makes you less likely to commit these crimes. And yet these cases are pushed to the wayside (unless they concern a smoking hot teacher) and the male pedophiles are the ones that police "go after".

They got 50 or 51. One was released which I think was the tag along friend who didn't know what they were going to go do. Wrong place at the wrong time.

Tag along? Sure. If there had been sex going on, I bet you he'd be a participant. But the cops let him go I guess mainly because he wasn't involved in the online sex talk.

I don't see how Dateline can be compared to Maury. Maury is more like a copy-cat Jerry Springer Show.

The old promoter and owner of the Ring of Honor wrestling federation was caught doing this during a sting operation and the then RoH World Champion Samoa Joe said he'd kill him if he ever saw him again. I wouldn't put it past Samoa Joe to actually do it either.

I did say I though it would've been funny if the host (I forget his name) came out and said "What, I don't look like a 13 year old girl?"

But at least they got these guys.

Anyone else cheer when the cops tackled that one guy and busted his head open?

I thought they would have had a police presence on the first show; it's nice to see that they finally brought that element as well.

I know a lot of people think that child-molesters need help, but IMO, they need a smith n' weston projectile to the cranium. :o

Agreed.

You guys been catching NBC's special 'To catch a Predator"? It's been on 2 Wednesdays in a row now(different episodes) and they have another episode airing 9pm EST next Wednesday.

The reason i resurrected this thread is, with all the publicity surrounding these Internet chat rooms and whatnot, i can't believe that Dateline continues to keep catching these perverts trying to solicite minors for sex, it's ridiculuously....funny!

First of all, I think what "To Catch a Predator" is doing is great. No one can argue against catching pedofiles or potential pedofiles. But I have a question about the legal issues behind this show.

I'm watching the show right now and this is my problem with it. The men THINK they are talking to an underage person online, but IN FACT they are not. They are talking to adults and child imposters. Even if they send inappropriate pictures or links, they are sending them to ADULTS. So what they are arrested for is the intent to commit child molestation.

Once again, let me reiterate that this is a good thing!!! I"m not defending any of the sickos shown on the episodes!!!

But technically, did they really break the law?

Example: Just say there's a bucket of free money on the sidewalk. It's free for everyone. But I go to my apartment, put on a ski mask and leave the house with the intention of stealing this money. But in fact, taking this money is not a crime. So I grab the money and am subsequently arrested because I had the intention of stealing this money. Even though it was legal to take the money.

Do you see what I'm saying?

Let's say one of these guys talks to a Perverted Justice imposter online on the very first day he's ever been on the internet. He's never spoken inappropriately to a minor in his life. He talks dirty to the imposter, goes to the house, talks to Chris Hansen and gets arrested. In actuality, he never did anything wrong with an actual minor. He is being arrested for what he wanted to do, but never did.

I'm not asking if it's right. (I have two daughters below the age of 11 and I'm glad the show exists) But how is it possible to arrest these guys for what they WANTED to do?

murdock_matt

Some of the guys they catch have done this in the past.

murdock_matt

Some of the guys they catch have done this in the past.

I'm sure that they have. But they're not being arrested for what they did in the past. That's my whole point. They're being arrested for talking to adults and walking into a house in which there are no minors present.

And I know that's where the whole "Intent" comes into play. But they "intended" to have sex with the person they were talking to online... who was an adult in reality.

And YET AGAIN, I'm not defending the people! (I can't seem to say that enough). But couldn't what I said be used as a defense? That they never talked to a minor? That they are actually arrested for something that was only going on in their mind?

Could I walk into a movie set of a bank, go up to the ACTRESS portraying the bank teller, say that I wanted to rob her (without having a weapon), and be arrested for "Intent to commit robbery" simply because I thought it was a real bank?

WOW ...... the intent is more than enough . imagine if there was a 12 year old girl there and no chris hansen at the house . they have a sickness and they need to be weeded out , the method is perfectly reasonable

Entrapment does not exist though? Anyways it is interesting while some of the men are clearly off their rocker some of them seem like normal middle aged men. If their wife is not making them happy sexually why do they go towards a teenager to fulfill their needs as a first option  What is the psychological hang up?????

its the same as going to an undercover cop to buy drugs or sex they aren't going to give you either but you are breaking the law by doing it.
and on the show they state that its illegal to send sexual images to someone that is under age. if the undercover person didn't say they were underage you could argue it but seeing as they tell them they are under age its a crime.
