Considering most of the source material for the films so far comes from comicbooks roughly in the 1975 - 1990 bracket, the chances of seeing Omega Red in X3 are highly remote. Simply put, the wishlists of 'recent' comicbook characters fit a different set of story lines than the more classic ones, so don't expect them to appear until later X-Movies (if ever).

The Spoiler in this is that his involvement in the story takes place in Act 3... The Whole of Act 3 is surposably the huge battle sequence with Magneto and all the mutants.

Omega can also be defined as the ending of a series or sequence; so maybe the tats are symbolic for the brotherhood, they have had enough of humanity and are taking "The Last Stand."

True. My point is, if you would include Omega red as a minor cameo, side character or anything, would you use the omega symbol to mark a large group of character. I think I would choose anything else as their emblem, unless Omega Red has a protagonic role, which he hasn't, or else at least we would get the name of the actor playing him.

IMD has Vince Murdocco listed as Omega Red. Vince Murdocco was signed to play one of the miscellaneous mutants involved with Magneto. Because Murdocco's costume had an Omega symbol on it (like many of the other mutants with Magneto), he told his agent he was an Omega Mutant. Fans heard about this and automatically assumed it was Omega Red, when, in fact, his character in the film was cut and he is merely doing stunt work.

So maybe DrChronic is telling the truth about this or maybe he is half lying and Murdocco never sent him those spoilers about Omega Red in the final battle. Also the thing about him having a shady past by saying that Sinister being in the movie was a half lie. Somebody really did mention Sinister being in the movie on the CanMag blog, but they didn't say that unknown actor is playing him.

Ok let me clear a few things up, the sinister thing i still believe to be true, the reason i couldnt give a link was because it was on a british newspaper website but there news headlines change so a direct link could not be pinpointed to on persific address.

Secondly, Vince here is contradicting himself for a reason, he is not ment to tell anything about his role or the character he is playing for that matter, But i tell you something this Vince guy seems to know alot about x-men... its possible he is an x-men fan but alot of actors and actresses in hollywood it was reported that only 10% of hollywood knows the full comic history of a comic book character, majoritly only learn about them when they go up for the role of that character.

So if vince wasnt omega red then how would he know the history of Wolverine without being in that 10% Its possible but highly unlikely.

That guy in the photo is not rumored to be Omega Red. Vince Murdocco is supposedly playing him. Go to vincemurdocco.com for his info. Imdb.com also has him listed as Omega Red and with several e-mail responses to fans, such as myself, he mentions he has been cast but cannot say any more. So here is hoping Omega Red will make a cameo in X3.

We already have a thread on him, and there's no proof anymore that he is Omega Red. From the beginning, it was actually revealed that he was cast to play an "Omega Mutant", and the fansite who reported it jumped to conclusions and said he was Omega Red. Murdocco later said that his part was cut from the film and he was just on the stunt team, so he no longer has a role in the film.

Ratner mentions Omega Red: There's Callisto [Dania Ramirez], Arclight [Omyrha Mota], and Omega Red [Vince Murdocco]. They're small parts, but they have powers. Magneto has a team now.

He said this, among other things, in the latest Starlog magazine, out April 2nd. Just so you know though, Ratner didn't mention the actors names in brackets, either the editor of Starlog or the person who typed up the article for us put the names in brackets, so it's not certain Murdocco is playing Red.

Oh, I think something like that would've made the character a bit more obvious by now...But heh...If he's a part of Magneto's bunch, I guess it's not farfetched if they had a quick showdown..

Omega Red would be a better final battle for Wolverine. That gives Juggs to Collosus, Storm and Calisto, Cyclops and Jean(hopefully), Iceman and Pyro, Beast and Quills, and Kitty and Arclight...Magneto will be fighting off the soldiers and tearing the hell out of Alcatraz.

I would appreciate if he wore some form of his armor and gauntlets...

he has to be russian as well...
Based on his comic powers and disposition within the plot, I doubt that he'll have much armor at all...

Instead of a genetic freak, he'll probably be a mutant like Juggernaut, and he'll be given the rough-and-dirty Brotherhood treatment in terms of attire...
