For X2, Fox released a second trailer in mid-February and the X3 screenwriters recently said they were going to see the new trailer being edited.

Honestly I think the problem is that with a tag line like "Take a Stand" you'd expect them to be looking battle ready...not like they are posing for a fashion magazine layout. I like the images I just dont think the characters are presented in the way they should be.

Ok Here's a few thoughts of mine on some of the photos.

Wolverine: People are giving out about it because it doesn't show his rage his anger. But just think about the plot, Avi said that wolverine will have to do what he hates most, lead. This picture reflects his concerns and doubts about his own abilities. The blue light convey loniliness, he did love Jean after all.

Storm: In this film storm is going to have to take charge, she doesn't have a choice and accepts it therefore she is the only one staring at the camera and almost accepting her fate. The fog and yellow light gives a sense of turmoil.

Phoenix: This picture shows confidence and power in comparison to the other. The red colour just screams out power.

Angel: Seeing that he is a new character the fact that he has his face turned away shows a little mystery to the film.

And the whole colour issue, as stupid as it may sound people will notice these posters more due to the colours.

How big a comic collection do you have, documenting Rogue in particular?

Again, people need to stop putting these characters into a box where they "should" be like this or "should" be like that. These characters are HUMAN BEINGS with special powers - humans first and mutants second, not the other way around.

And, gee, you're a bit a late with your commentary ... in case you haven't noticed, they opted for an adolescent Rogue, as opposed to an adult, "seductive" Rogue (which I think would be totally out of character for someone who has her past - do your research, buddy :up:).

She looks confident, strong and sexy in that pic to me - but without looking like she's even trying. Now THAT'S character development right there. It's a natural and steady progression over the three films. Not one movie she's shy and the in the third movie she's a promiscuous town bike.

Sorry guys, there was only the posters. No info. But, Bryan Singer was there promoting Superman. They were giving away posters and little "S" pins too. There was nothing good for X3. Looking more at Rogue's poster, I think I understand why I like it so much--Rogue looks powerful. It's a quite powerful, but it's there. The first two movies she was the damsel in distress, but now that she's a fully-fledged X-Woman, she's gotta step up to the plate.

Maybe I'm reading too much into them, but I really love how much emotion these posters convey.

20th Century Fox handed out some 500 X-Men: The Last Stand posters Saturday WonderCon.

The posters were awarded through a ticket lottery at the Fox panel. Winners picked up their prizes outside the Moscone Center from a van that displayed the posters.

The posters -- featuring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Halle Berry as Storm, Famke Janssen as Phoenix, Anna Paquin as Rogue, Kelsey Grammer as Beast and Ben Foster as Angel -- will be appearing in public soon.

"The posters were a big hit at WonderCon. The fans clapped enthusiastically when they were shown on the screen, paticularly for Beast and Angel," said associate producer David Gorder, who was at the convention on Saturday. "It was cool to hear that response from the X-Men fans. 'Take a Stand' is is a unique outdoor campaign, an idea that is fresh and cool. It gets the initial theme of the movie out there too."

Gorder said the production is headed back to Vancouver for additional shots.

"Everything is coming along nicely," Gorder said. "Brett (Ratner, director) has done an awesome job. The movie is going to blow people away."

Yeah the same thing also happened with the Invisible Woman figures for F4, they were going for almost like $45 a piece at first because they were so hard to find, then everyone put them up on eBay and drove the price WAY down. You could probably get one for less than $5 on there now.

Most of these posters look like they were shot on the Alcatraz set. Fox was not happy with the first gallery shoot [ the head shots that have been released thus far ] and they brought in a new photographer to shoot these shots during the last few weeks of the show in Dec. They wanted the shots taken on the sets, to help capture the feel of the movie, etc.

The Angel poster looks to be about the only one to be used from the first gallery shoot, as he is wearing the "battle" or "attack" mode wings created for him, and those were only applied to Ben during his "cure" scenes. There does not seem to be to much digital touch up, other than the streaking to make him look like he's flying.

They printed all the Beast poster in red, to help sell the blue fur, but they should have left the red color off of the hair on his head. This hair is closer to the same color as his arms, and the red on it does make it look odd. Also, they left his feet red, without even a hint of blue.

I don't know if this has been mentioned (because I don't feel like scrolling through all the pages) but Angel, Beast and Jean Grey/Phoenix posters are already up in various spots around NYC. You can see Jean Gray and Angel's on 14th Street between 6 and 7th Ave (if you are walking West on 14th street, it is on the right side of the street between 6th and 7th) and Angel and Beast are on 6th Ave between 14th and 15th Street (if you are walking North, it is on the right side of the street past the Dunkin Donuts between 14th and 15th).
