That's frickin amazing! I know the Venom/Spawn thing is a nice touch, but what I'm impressed the most about is probably the use of showing Sandman. You have the sand appearing through the keyhole and then JJJ reading the paper with sandy on the front page. It just builds up the whole amazingness of S-M3. Brilliant work:up:

I personally think the symbiote costume idea works just as well for both. It shows how good an idea it really is with the fact that it has two different applications with Spawn and Venom:-

1)Venom is part man part alien and the creature is actually described as a 'symbiote'. It can mimic clothes, lash out with tendrils and basically has a mind of it's own too. Loud noises drive it crazy and fire is a weakness.

2)Spawn's costume has a funky name (which I have forgot - big fan!!!!!) and was created in the fires of hell from necroplasm. It too can mimic clothes and has a mind of it's own and in some of the issues has actually been seperated from Spawn. Then there's the frikkin' huge spikes and chains that come from it. Venom wishes he had those babies. Spawns costume has no weaknesses, apart from these days it seems very sub-dued and not used like it used to be.

So I guess they are very close but if you read them you'd buzz from the likenesses but also respect the differences they have:):up:

It was from the festival scene in the first Spider-Man movie a little after Green Goblin threw the pumpkin bomb at the balcony. The sand is just dust and smoke after the bomb blew up.:)

Awesomeness, pure awesomeness. I'm not too fond of the nose thing going on there, and when the symbiote covers Topher Grace it could be thicker. But I'm not one to complain, because this is brilliant work. But wouldn't it be neat to put both trailers together? I was thinking, add parts from the first; Venom yelling, Harry, Sand pouring through, and Sandman bits.

But I'm not one to complain, because this is brilliant work. But wouldn't it be neat to put both trailers together? I was thinking, add parts from the first; Venom yelling, Harry, Sand pouring through, and Sandman bits.

Yeah I covered up the nostrels but I realise that wasn't enough. It still looks like... a nose. I'll have to just chop it all off. Might be easy actually. Can't do anything about Tophers thin mask. Wanted it to look like liquid. to alter those frames would make the animation un-smooth as his head is moving in the shot.

Well to be honest, if I had the talent to produce a fake trailer like that...I'd probably do the same. It'll be...(this is considering I'd add HobGoblin/GG2)

Sand pours through a keyhole...as it starts to take some form...(probably could use the Mummy scenes, I know it involved the villain using sand lots)
Spidey swings through the NY skyline, and we cut to JJJ reading the paper. The front cover questions who Sandman is...possibly accusing him of working with Spidey. Topher Grace walks in, producing some documents. Gotta have the trademark...'you're fired!' as Topher watches Spidey swing by. I'd want to see some sort of double date, Petey and MJ with Harry and Gwen. Petey would look at Harry's disgust in him. END THAT.

I'd have Sandman looking across the street...Topher looking outside the window, some black substance covering his arm.

Then you'd cut to a bridge scene, where Spidey faces GG2/HobGoblin holding Gwen...even though Harry dated her, he's out to kill her to show his hate for Spidey. As this happens, a large symbiote foot slams down. Looking up, it's Venom...
END TRAILER.

I know it would be kinda impossible to produce, but that's how I'd make it with reliable sources to copy from

McFarlane did not, in fact, create Venom. There was a huge debate about it years ago, which is summed up nicely in the Wikipedia.org article about Venom. The black costume was designed before McFarlane worked for Marvel. The self-healing costume was a rejected Ironfist idea from Marvel, and the idea to go with a body builder instead of a woman for the host for the Venom symbiote was the idea of an editor, not a lowly artist who's only part in the "invention" of Venom was the mouth. that was it... And it was Larson, not McFarlane, who made Venom into the crazy tongued, crazy-eyed, drooling monster we loved in the '90's before oversaturation and bad writing merged Venom with the Scorpion and sealed my loathing for current Marvel "thinktanks."

But yes, once Marvel did, infact, try to take Spawn to court as a direct rip of their characters, but like with City of Heroes PC game, the court said they were not alike ENOUGH to violate copywrite laws...

So I'm gonna make a character that looks EXACTLY like Batman, but with green eyes, a clown nose, and chicken feathers on his arms and legs, and DC can't do anything about it, long as I got the chicken feathers! BWAHAHAHAHA!

Brilliant work. Why? Because it looks like it came out of my dreams. THIS is how cool a villian Spidey could be fighting: raw, powerful, and terrifying. Not what you find in your average power-rangers episode. Sony's lawyers emailed me requesting I take down the images or they would persue legal action... all because I took some of the Spidey 1 & 2 images and doctored them up a tad. hehehe... go figure.

but if I do another one (manip) it will have to be one based on ideas I come up with myself. Sorry, I like your ideas but these manips are very time consuming (even though they are fun) and as an artist by profession, rule no.1 is to never work for someone for free. Good paying art jobs are very hard to come by. You're poor one year and make a lot the next.
Sure its fun and sometimes I've done poster manips based on feedback and requests but to spend a whole day or so, nah nah.

I am not tending to believe the Q & A from that one guy. His sources aren't really confirmed, and not having a big enough budget from Sony to make 3 and 4 together seems far off to me. Not to be condesending, a lot of it seems plausible, except doing Venom right, and not giving him his own movie, ESPICALLY when the Spidey comics are fantastic for using one villian for setting up another one.

While I would love to see Bruce Campbell see Quentin Beck in SM4 as a minor villian, along with Vulture. Then set up another villian with Carnage in SM5, and then in Spidey 6, have a Sinister Six plot. That's what I would love to see, but hey, I'm just the target audience.

Again, great job on the pics, and mucho kudos to fooling ACIN. That's funny. Espically when they're making fun of themselves in the talkbacks. Very funny.

Wow. Great job on both of the teasers. I told my borhter they were both real and he totally fell for it. Any chance at combining the 2 like others have asked? Is their any way you would be able to add sound to it? Great job man.

Thanks. The new longer version is taking some time. It won't have either Spawn or that Underworld(nose shot) scenes but even better footage of Venom that no one will guess where I got it from. Not to mention the first appearance of HobGoblin.
