I think they could be seen to represent the cycle of the goddess in mythology and pagan religion - virgin, mother, crone.

In X1, the young woman; in X2, the more motherly look; in X3, the older, wiser, tougher Storm.

Although the wigs of X1 and X2 have their dodgy moments, there is a flow between all three looks that befits a goddess like Storm, befits a story about evolution and befits a trilogy with a growing story arc.

X2 is the best imo. It doesn't look fake (like X1) or too retro (like in X3). Not too short, not too long. Its near perfect:up:

I loved the length of the first hairstyle, and I always envision Storm to have long hair. The fringe however was a mess, and completely spoilt that style. The second hairstyle was a slight improvement, and again the third one has improved further. I've gone with the third style because it's definitely the most successful of the three.

X1s wig was white throughout the entire movie. X2s wig looked blonde for the majority of the film. Some of you guys might want to rewatch them. ;)

I like X3 the best. X1 had no personality to it it was boring. X2 was ok but it was to light and feathery. X3's the best its not too white and has spunk to it, perfect for storm.

I don't like any of the hairstyles to be quite honest, X1 were horrible, it was like plastic barbie gone wrong, X2 was like 'hey! I have a personal hairdresser that do my hair everyday!" and X3 style-wise was more believable, doesn't look like a high maintance kind of style, but the colour. I understand about the darker roots and the lowlights for X3, but it's way too dark and it came off grey just like lordy said. It would've been better if the darker roots and the lowlights were a little more subtle.

Now if were talking about the make up X3 was spot on.

I wish it could've been longer. I loved the long hair style of X1...even if it did look bad at times. I just don't like Storm (or Halle) with really short hair (unless it's REALLY short like Halle usually has it, but that would make an AWFUL Storm)

They deffinatly looks like it's light blondish to me.
Anyway, I voted for X3...I love it if she could look that good as Storm with long hair...

It's true that the X3 look is very good, not looks a wig, and Halle looks pretty.

Rogue is better with Short hair, and I think Jean's hairstyle in the X-men legends game(kind of in between the two lengths in Ultimate X-men) was spot on. Long hair doesn't suit her Ultimate personality or the way her personality developed in the 616verse. Though I do like her big curly 70s Phoenix style, which I think does suit her personality also. The long, straighter styles she seemed to get later on really didn't suit her at all. Jean strikes me as a very alternative individual, and her short hair and very big hair(this was before the 80s, remember ;P) helped her stand out.

Storm and Kitty look much better with long hair though. Storm's mohawk never did it for me, nor does her recent hair in UXM, looked terrible under Millar's arc, it looks a bit better now but still not that nice.

I like X1 style better than X2. It's longer and Halle looks better in it. X3 is my favourite though.

I think i would have done something diferent though. Someone pointed out long hair isn't practical for plying but i would have gone for a long ponytail or something.

Reason: It looks the most realistic. The black roots make it not look like a fake wig, but rather like that could really be Halle Berry's hair. It has the best look to it.

Next:

X-Men style
Reason: I like girls that have straight hair like that. It's amazingly sexy to me, and Halle Berry is the last woman to be an exception when it comes to "sexy"

Last:

X2 style
Reason: It doesn't look bad. Just not as natural / real as X-Men 3, and not as sexy as X-Men.

I hated X2's style. All I saw in that film was Halle Berry with a wig on.

I actually liked X1's styling, but they obviously picked the wig up from "Lover's Lane" or something because it looks undeniably cheap. The other problem was that it looked too "big" on the woman's face--it completely overwhelmed Halle's head, giving her whole body an unbalanced look.

So I'm going to vote for X3: Since Halle has such soft facial features, the new style gives her a rougher, more fierce look. The wig is high quality and it compliments the actress best.

That was the most silly, ghetto movie ever created-- second only to Booty Call. Oddly enough, each of the 10,000 wigs Halle wore in that movie looked more realistic than the 99 Cent Store mop they slapped on her head in the first X-Men movie.

Exactly. In all honesty they should be able to shave her bald and her still be able to pull off Storm. That's what I want to see. I don't want the white hair as the definitive Storm factor. ;)

When they're all presented next to each other like that it's hard making a choice. I'd say it's close between the second and third hairstyle but I voted third just because the shorter hairstyle makes her look tougher. Unfortunately Halle has a mousy look so she needs all the help she can get to make her look strong. I think she'll be amazing in X3, I can't wait to see her performance.
