In general from what we have seen Routh's Kal-El is perfect. It may be the blue contacts but at times there is a really alien look to him. I like that because it reminds me of what Ma Kent said about his eyes in the 1st issue of Birthright. I really woulda liked the turtleneck look in the S costume too.

That's a very good pic of Routh. In fact, I'd go as far as saying that's the best face pic yet. The lighting is perfect and plays off his facial features very well! He looks older and stronger. And that gray outfit is friggin sweet.

To be honnest, believe me or not, I NEVER doubted Routh either.. You can see that from all of my posts practicly.. However I thought the term "we" was better than "some of you".. It's incredible the way that Routh looks so dramaticly different to fit the different character switches.. Above are two very good examples! On the Left we have the heroic Kal-El, in the way that he also apears as superman (the symbol!).. On the right we have a pic of casual Clark (farmboy) Kent as he is around Ma Kent.. And that pic was what peeked my interest with this frame.. He looks so calm and so..well.. casual.. both in his cloths and his whole facial expression, it's great! He can really pull off "looking the part" for each and every single one of them he's portraying, wether it's Bumberling Clark at the planet, Kal-El from Krypton, Clark on the farm AND of course Superman.. That is pure magic!:up:

I saw spidey 2 three times in theater.. and I KNOW that I'll see SUPERMAN RETURNS 4 or 5 times... It's just waaaay bigger than all other superhero movies!!

The first time seeing RETURNS I just know (I dont doubt it, I KNOW!) that I'll be so nervous and gittery that I'll sit on the edge of my seat the whole movie through.. I just wont be able to relax.. Only the second time around I'll enjoy the movie to the full! If you understand.

No one is saying that they don't want to see the movie or they want to wait longer for the film to come out. Some of us are simply enjoying the excitement we have for a film we hope is great. Some of us have been waiting for a very long time, so a few months more is no big deal.

By all means, if you'd rather be impatient and angry that you can't see the film this second like some little child, go ahead. The rest of us will enjoy it while it lasts because very soon it will all be over.

I genuinely think that because of the mass Routh has in his legs, some shots will look a little strange (or disproportioned as was mentioned earlier).

His upper body is definately well built and if he had 'skinnier legs' his upper body would look much bigger (this maybe is the cause of all the 'Routh doesnt look big enough' criticism - look at the 'Got milk' shot - people are talking about his 'hourglass' figure -but if you imagine his thighs being a little smaller, his upper body would look bigger in proportion imo).

This post is in no way a knock on Routh, but rather a compliment, as the legs are often a very neglected body-part when building up your body and I, for one, am glad we dont have a Superman with legs like toothpicks.

It may sometimes look a little odd in photos, but I'm a feeling that when we see him live action, those big legs are going to give a real impression of weight/mass and therfore power.

Lol! I'm trying to work in squats more into my own workouts. I only started lifting weights a few years back and like alot of guys I tended to focus more on my upper body. Lately I'm trying to do more squats to help build up my lower body (they're tough!!!). Maybe, someday I can have legs of "Routhian" proportions. :D

well the WB has a plan. it is something different that we are used. they are realesing new pics almost every week.
