Every pic i see from him looks like he is smaller as Superman than as Clark. Probably all of those pics were taken before filming when Routh wasnt built enough.

WEll guys why do you worry about the pics, the showest BTS footage shows that brandon fills the suit and that is quite big so pics are decieving,and I think the collar isn't a problem, I think it looks better this way than the original collar, that's just me of course, but Iam sure that in the new trailer everyone will be convinced that brandon is a great supes.

remember that on Usual Suspects and on XMen 2 Singer pulled fast ones on set. He changed things up so that basically no one on set knew exactly what was going on. Someone could have pages of the script in their own hands and still be wrong about what happens. it's possible because when the original file was saved out, someone turned on settings to generate a preview image, and it was generated from the large image and stored int he code for preview purposes. When the file was altered in photoshop and resaved out to be distributed here, they apparently didn't update the preview/thumbnail image, and thus it used the original one that was previously embedded in the jpg code.

Truth is they where made of latex (rubber) mostly.
That's why in there film shoots they had the costume department
remake new capes so they can "billow".. there FANS where not strong
enough to move the heavy capes for the flying scenes.
Also there going to have CGI capes on live action sceens
of routh because of the time it took to re-manufacture new
movable capes.
I have absolutly no reason to make this up.
I held the very cape in my hands.

Not hard to imagine considering what one would remember from their first glimpse of tyhe suit. It looked TINY at first. And if you had no picture and where righting based entirely on your memory, and were trying to get a point across about how small you THOUGHT it looked, well . . .

Even though Reeve looks younger here than he does in most shots, he still looks older than Routh, and more Superman-ish. I like some aspects of the new suit, heck, I like Routh too, but the Reeve suit is still superior in most respects.

I'm so sick and tired of this "Routh is too young looking!" talk, that has been going on FOREVER!... Routh looks so unbelievably cool as superman/Clark Kent! NO he doesn't resemble Reeve 100%, God forbit that he might bring his own version to the man of steal!! But he does resemble Reeve like 80%, and that's just a coincidence (yet still cool!) Singer wasn't looking for a total looka-like to Reeve.. the fact that he simply does look a hell of a lot like the former Supes is just an added bonus! Routh looks absolutely great, and to tell the truth, I'm more interested in his acting skills then anything else.. And he had me at the GoldenGlobes award when he gave us a tiny tease of his Clark Kent performence!

The reason Bale got so big so fast is due to Muscle Memory, he had been that big before so it wasnt hard for him to get back to that point. Routh had never been as big as he is now, or was during shooting, so it was more difficult.

Actually, given he is super strong, there would be no way for him to develop big muscles unless he had planet size weights which I do not think he had.

However, as we are humans we associate strength with muscles which ignores likelihoods in such a situation.

Of course I want to see new footage but I also understand how marketing works, and they are playing it the right way. They have decided on a marketing campaign and are seeing it through, there is a strategy.

At the same time, I am embracing the anticipation. Anything this big is worth waiting for, I have never anticipated a movie this much in my life. I know how huge this is. How often does an iconic character that we all know and love get a chance to return to the big screen?
