Getting right down to what wasn't said regarding a few of the more popular assumptions.


On Star Trek, Captain Kirk never once said "Beam me up, Scotty."

On Dragnet, Joe Friday never said "Just the facts, ma'am."

Humphrey Bogart does not say, "Play it again, Sam." in Casablanca.

Darth Vader does not say, "Luke, I am your father." in Star Wars.

On another Star Wars note, Obi-Wan Kenobi never says "May the force be with you."

James Cagney never said, "You dirty rat" in any movie.

In Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's books, Sherlock Holmes never said, "Elementary, my dear Watson."

Clint Eastwood does not say "Do you feel lucky, punk?" in Dirty Harry.

In Field Of Dreams, the voice does not say "If you built it, they will come."

"Me Tarzan, you Jane." was never said in the original 1932 film.

Mae West did not say, "Come up and see me sometime."

Are you sure that in all Star Wars films Obi Wan never says that? That's the one out of those that shocks me.

He says it in the prequels, but not in the original. He says, "The Force will be with you...always." In a New Hope

He's right. The closest Obi-Wan gets to that is "The Force Will Be With You, Always".

Han Solo, however, does say "May the Force Be With You"

Screenwriters came up with this one. Not Sir Doyle.quote]In 2 different book he says Elementary and in other book "my dear Watson" but never togeter to make the quote but you are right thata Screenwriter did come up with it.

There was 5 Dirty Harry movies though. I am sure he said it in one. Plus he says that speech twice in Dirty Harry but it mixes up a little, I think he says it at the end to the shooter. Definately not to the bank robber which is the famous scene/line.
