BATMAN: VALOR... I'm telling you it's by far the best name for the sequel... it's excellent
It's generic. Might as well be any of these:
BATMAN: HONOR
BATMAN: VIRTUE
BATMAN: BRAVERY
BATMAN: COURAGE
And it's not like Begins didn't have valor in it. Any heroic movie is about valor in one way or another. It's not clever to put it in your title.

Haha, does the movie even need a title? Even in the credits for Begins, it never said "Batman Begins" at the beginning. Anyone going to see it will just exclaim, "Hey guys, wanna go see BATMAN?!" On the ticket stub, it'll say "Batman". On the door outside the theater, it'll say "Batman". Just put the bat logo on the posters, and hopefully no one will notice.

As a video store clerk, that would make my job a tad bit more complicated (not that i'll still be there when the sequel comes out). "So, what movie are you looking for" "well, it doens't really have a title, it's that new Batman movie". "well, i dont see it under Batman, and I dont know the alt key for the bat-symbol... (for the record, they should have one of those...)"
Hey now that i think about it, lets call it "The Film Formerly Known as Batman", but the title when written down will just be the bat symbol!

Bull****.
Why not?
I think War On Crime might be a cool name to use if you go the graphic novel route. It's vague enough it could go with the film's storyline. Now obviously, it won't be an adaptation of that story. But The Long Halloween would not really make much sense without the Holiday storyline.
StorminNorman
03-08-2006, 10:52 PM
Batman: The Long Halloween is right now in first place for me, the title is real easy to tie into the story because the "Long Halloween" can be the new crime movement in Gotham. So long are the classic gangsters and organized crime of the past, now we have the freaks, the psycos, the weirdos, people who look like Jokers and dress like the Mad Hatter, its all one big Halloween from Hell. Thus you have: The Long Halloween.

I hope that in the sequel one of the themes is Gotham's descent into madness. It's slowly going from the rundown, yet normal metropolis of BB to the freakshow we know and love from the comics. :D lol

Oh, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Remember Gordon's speech about escalation? And the fact that all the crazies are still on the loose. There's kind of a setup in BB with the idea that Batman, in fighting crime in his unique way, has opened the door for a new kind of villian, because crime has to adapt to survive. Batman's fighting a war and the harder he fights the crazier the war becomes. It's part of the inherent futility of what Batman does; yet Batman will never give up.
Begins seems to have tapped into that perfectly, so I foresee a continuance of that theme, on a larger scale, in the sequels. I don't think you'll be disappointed...

Guys, no matter how much we try there gonna come off corny. This sequel title thing is hard

Maybe BATMAN CRUSADES (or "Batman: Crusade" if you're a fan of subtitles) would work. Having begun his career, and having established a cooperative relationship with Gordon, he engages in a full-on crusade against the remaining mob bosses and criminal organizations in Gotham (and the Joker happens to be there to stir up trouble as well.)

Liar lol everyone has even by accident
But I mean Unleashed sounds cliched, there's a Jet Li/Morgan freeman flick that just came out name that. What was crazy about Begins was that it obvious but never really used.
That's why I said if you think about it's hard to come up with a really cool and fresh name
Didnt know about the Jet Li/Morgan film.

Actually, Bruce's time as Batman in BB couldn't have taken an entire year. 2 months, I'd guess...maybe even less.
With that said, the title Year One is not feasible simply because it's completely illogical to have "One" in the title of a second film. So few realize that. :(

The thing is Nolan isnt going for the 'timeless' thing. Hes trying to make these as real and as current as possible. BB2 may actually take place in 2008 as BB took place in 2005.
Three years later.
I think that was the whole idea behind all the criminals being freed. Batman brings them all back in over the years, except the Joker of course.
I hope we see some changes to Batman in the 3 years too; the introduction of the Batmobile would be awesome.

Well...the tumbler is the Batmobile..however i would like to see parts added to it..but really it doesn't need to be touched.
The tumbler isnt the Batmobile? Its just an early prototype. It was too soon for Batman to have the Batmobile but he still needed something to drive. The militery vehicle was the perfect choice.
The actual Batmobile (the car) could still come soon.

LOL, show one bit of information that states the film "takes place" in 2005? There is none, no time is given. That is why I put takes place in quotation marks - there is no set time. However, if there was one, it would be the late 1990's - because the cars selected for use in the movie are from that era.

Hmmm thats one Nolan would need to be asked about. This definately wasnt a 'timeless' picture per say and I thought they were going about making it as modern as possibile.
Hmm, the flashbacks to the past and Bruce's parties had a very stylized BTAS style to them too, classic look like the stylized-look of Superman Returns.
I guess if they ever make a Worlds Finest movie, we'll know the truth about Batman's timeline (since a Newspaper Article for Daily Planet reveals SR taking place in the present).

maybe they should use "Batman Begins" as a wrap-around title for this trilogy of films (like "Star Wars" or "Lord of the Rings"), the idea being that these first films are all early in Batman's career, his first couple of years, first encounters with these villians, pre-Robin, etc.
Batman Begins: The Last Laugh
Batman Begins: Two Faces
etc.
Plus it helps to seperate this Batman series from the older Burton/Schumacher series, as far as future "generations" looking back at the Batman franchise.
