You know (and sorry if this has laready been said) with the rumours that Raimi might be going with the Ultimate version of Venom he might go the same route with the Goblins cuz Harry becomes the Ultimate Hobgoblin not Green Goblin. I don't mean Raimi will give Harry fire throwing abilities or have him turning into a real goblin but he might decide to have Harry become HG instead of GG.

As has everybody, I've heard the rumours of the Hob-goblin being in the third film. Here's a possible way of fitting him in. Harry found his dads stash at the end of spidey 2. So why not have him be a sort of kingpin and recruit the Sandman and trick Venom into going after old web-head.This could lead to a royal rumble with spidey fighting Sandman and Venom to get to Harry/Hob-goblin.

Oh no, I agree too. Harry is the main villian in this trilogy. He's the Anakin of Spider-man. BUT, since there are two gliders and formulas in Spider-man 2, there could be a way to have Hobgoblin in this without overshadowing Harry at all. Topher could be a hired hand/test subject for the one formula to see what happens. Who knows? The only thing I know is there is no confirmation Topher is Eddie. Eddie could be a new actor and never made a movie.

It was during the Secret Wars but that is when the symbiote first appeared. The Ultimate just makes it seem more science relatable. That is the exact equation Raimi has been using. Trying to relate the characters to a scientificly plausible origin.

No, you made it sound like I said that Raimi will NEVER use anything besides the original. The costume machine was good but not good for his scientific approach. Goblin, and Doc Ock both had scientific origins in the comics and movies. The symbiote will be scientifically explained...a costume machine doesn't do that. In a previous post I said the only thing I like from the Ultimate is the Venom/symbiote origin which is excellent. Raimi will either use that or bring in Conners, Oscorp, or Quest somehow and create his own.
