I'm having fun. The difficulties are as follows Normal (which equals Easy), Hard (which equals Normal), and Commando (which equals Hard). I started on Normal because I was confused. I've died once and I had been hit with a grenade and shot five times.

The overall gameplay though is pretty fun, but I'm not far enough in to have gotten to the game design mistakes I've heard of in the reviews. So far though its a great looking game with some pretty fun gameplay.

The only real problem at the moment is I have to restart because the achievements aren't counting.

Well, the biggest complaint in the Gamespot review seemed to be the gunplay sucked. shooting was weak, they said.

I've only gotten the pistol so far but its a silenced pistol so not sure if that means anything. I'll keep you updated but I'm not sure if I'll play it until the achievements are fixed. Damn Microsoft and their slow servers!:cmad:

Beat the game on hard and got all 1000/1000. Game can be frustrating at times because of poor design, but hey, it's a movie based tie in.

Its fun but there isn't much to the story. A few cut scenes here and there. Its the typical liberate the planet from an oppressive occupation type deal. Still a pretty fun game. Multiplayer is really fun to. A nice change of pace from COD or Halo.

I'm loving the Uncharted 2 mp so far. It's not the main draw to the game for me, the main story is, but the beta got rid of any fears I had about Uncharted mp. I thought it'd just have more of a generic feel and lose that Uncharted feeling, but now having played it is still feels like Uncharted. Not counting the co-op which is a blast (if you have a partner who will help you lol).


Also I agree, Super Stardust HD is tough. I tried to get the 10x multiplier trophy and just can't do it. You basically have to keep going and not die once. I can actually do that until the last stage, I keep getting a 9x multiplier then dying.

Yeah, I had some dude as Sully in the co-op who was just running around and couldn't figure out what he was supposed to do for like forever. It was kind of annoying, especially when I and the person playing Chloe died and he was still just running around completely clueless.

I'm really, really bad at Super Stardust. I'm playing on easy and I still haven't managed to make it past the third planet. There's just too much going on on the screen for my crappy, nearsighted, astigmatic eyes to follow.

I agree 100% on that. I played the game all the way through on Normal until that battle and had to put it on Easy just to get past that part.

It doesn't help that its also a terribly designed boss battle.

All of the Ratchet and Clank are very samey, the only one working a bit differently was Deadlocked and it was the weakest of the series.

But it's made up for by the fantastic characters, charming stories, super fun weapons, and fantastic platforming...so yes, pick up all of them. :up:

Heh, in fact attempting to revolutionize the series is what has killed Sonic. It's the reason I still love Mario games, other than tweaks here and there, as long as the game is filled with the characters I love and the platforming is not messed with, I love the Mario games.

inFAMOUS. Been a little busy this week so I didn't get to play much this so finally picked it up again tonight. I really like this game a lot so far. There are a lot of nice little touches they didn't have to put in but did. Like (right now I'm good) how the citizens run up to you and will ask you to heal an injured person, or how they'll take photographs of you. I've even been noticing a lot of the more personal chatter like someone said, "Hey Cole, you're the best!!!" and Cold said something like, "I try", was just a random thing. Also citizens will make comments on their cell phones on what just happened.

Beyond that, the meat of the game, the gameplay, is still as great as ever. I just got the glide and rail grinding abilities, and it's starting to feel more and more like a superhero game done right. As you gain more powers, and ppl respect/hate you more, you really get a feeling of Cole evolving as a character.

Just played Ghostbusters and man is that an awesome game! Also I am currently playing inFamous and I have to say that I LOVE this game! My only problem is that it only gets 720p, other than that this game is a 10.

Ghostbusters, which I finished.

I then followed it up with Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad. I was curious so I rented it. I played it for about 10 minutes and I've already got it back in the envelope to send back to Gamefly now. In case you're wondering, it's not B-movie funny or anything. It's exactly as stupid as you would think a game built entirely on chicks in bikinis fighting zombies would be, and the gameplay mechanics aren't even good enough to appreciate it as just mindless action game fun.

inFAMOUS, just beat it....wow. Awesome game, I highly recommend it to anyone who likes superhero games. Great ride, and 2 great twists. Much like Uncharted, I could easily see this getting made into a movie. Also cool that you get to free roam after, can't wait for the sequel.

In the mean time tho....looks like I'll be playing thru again as a villain :).

Splinter Cell: Double Agent. I pulled off a sweet maneuver last night. There's a cruise ship you have to infiltrate and you enter through a casino. There's this well-lit box office in a corner with controls to cut the lights, but all the guards in the area come to investigate if you do. So I cut the lights and put wall stunners all along the wall leading to the light controls, took out one straggler who was really far away from the box office while listening to the sweet sound of the wall stunners' pops as the guards fell one by one, and then I was mercifully alone in the casino to pick the lock into the next area. It was awesome.

I didn't know you had access to wall stunners. I bet that would've made the game easier for me.

Oh, I was talking about playing Ghostbusters through on the hardest difficulty but yes I have played Double Agent on hard and its really not that bad. You actually feel pretty neat because you have to use your gadgets wisely. There is a guide up online that tells you were ammo is located but I didn't bother picking any up. I snuck through most of the game just knocking people would with my two or three per level round discs that knock people out.

I might as well be playing it on hard, then. I've been limiting myself to stealthy strangulation knock-outs or avoiding guards altogether purely out of personal pride. Although I let myself go in Shanghai and shot a bunch of people for kicks. :)

I played through on Normal a few times to get some of the achievements and then replayed on Hard after I had gotten all the other achievements. There is a part on the Shanghai mission that basically on hard you need to have all your knock out rings. I don't want to spoil it but on hard it took me like 5 goes to get in there and take out two guys without the other guy noticing. You have to knock one out with your hands and quickly switch to your weapon and headshot the other enemy with the knockout ring before he turns around or yells. It was intense but makes you feel really cool.

I give it a 7.5 out of 10. Fun game play and FANTASTIC selection of weapons. But....it's a bit short and there isn't any selectable craft. I still enjoyed it very much though.

Very underrated, there REALLY needs to be another one.
