For a while I was wondering what this was all about and why there was no new footage from the new movie spliced in, but ya it was to pimp the sales of the DVDs: Superman 1-4, Superman TAS, Adventures of Superman, Smallville, Lois and Clark.

I didnt see Kirk Alyn's Superman in there....but that may be since theres no DVDs of his stuff coming out?

Sorry, gotta clarify some things:

Supergirl will not be in the boxset -- it'll be available separately around the same time...

I think that if this movie is to fly though and restart her own movies they should have Superman in it for a guest role for if anything 15 min. Thats where I think Supergirl failed at the first time. Its cool to have Jimmy but they should have had Superman or at least Clark Kent instead of a poster of Superman which was still a nice moment but Reeve should have shown up in the movie.

Krypto the Superdog Vol. 1- Cosmic Canine

A promotional poster sent to video retailers reveals that the feature-length documentary "Look, Up in the Sky: The Amazing Story of Superman" is set to receive its TV premiere on June 12, just days before it hits DVD on June 20.
The Superman Homepage has discovered that a shortened version will air on A&E in the US on June 12 (and possibly 2 other dates after that before Superman Returns is released to theaters).

Reportedly the DVD will be at BEST BUY stores exclusively with a bonus disc of behind-the-scenes Superman Returns material on June 20th for 3 months before being released to other stores.

I plan to get SUPERMAN:The Movie & Superman II: the Richard Donner Cut as well as Superman II- {just to see the difference}, screw Superman III [I'm not wasting my money just to see Bad Superman vs. Clark Kent battle], I might get Superman IV [just to own the last movie of Reeve as THE MAN OF STEEL].I can't bring myself to buy those two movies after knowing what could have been to what is. I mean if you heard or read the story plots for III and IV those movies could have bested I & II but they just couldn't get the rights to the people they wanted to use which sucks.

"The Smallville season five DVD has a similar feel and quality to the previous four releases, with one notable exception. More STUFF. Just generally more stuff. It's got more and better deleted scenes, a documentary you really, really enjoy, the best since the Lois Lane one, and just generally, it's a great presentation. It's also a similar presentation to the other four, so it's nothing incredibly new, but it's probably my favorite so far."

Allthough I am more then likely going to give away the theatrical cut of Superman: The Movie and Superman II and just keep the Donner cut of those two movies and with the empty 2 slots put Superman: TAS vol. 1 there.

see I like this a hell of alot more than the stupid the Niagara Falls version (Lester version), for one thing this more in Line with What Lois would do . For another the scene was more in line with the comics .

I can't wait to own the donner cut .
