Wooooo!
This board is awesome

Anyways, I'm gonna keep this short.

Whatever hand to hand fighting they include in the movie, I want it to be awesome.

You know, quick, efficient, Bourne-like style

Last great Bond fight was 007 vs. 006 in Goldeneye (and the fighting in TND was pretty cool as well), but Craig looks like he can handle the action quite well (judging from those early behind the scenes videos), so I'm expecting some badass fighting.

What do you all think?

What do you all think? Sounds good to me. I think he should do alright. Watched him in Munich lastnight and he was pretty good. Bourne style would top it off though. I watched that last week too and was amazed how quick he pulled some of those movies off.

Similar approach to the Bourne films. Great to watch but not over the top.

But this is where we have it better than the Bourne movies (which I freaking love, btw)....because Martin Campbell is a great action director

Well the film has parkour in it so the fighting should kick ass too

Craig's Bond seems to be able to do what an MI6 agent should be able to do!

It actually looks as if he has had intense military training and could dispatch a group of men within seconds. Sweet.

Judging from a couple of other WTF threads a few others I would say. Oh well....this movie's gonna get unfairly slated anyway when it comes out

Actually yes. He has had many different comics based on his exploits and the first was a comic strip in england which came out before Dr. No in 1962.

George Bush has appeared in comics but that doesn't mean we get a Bush board.

H2H combat is a definate must but I'd rather have a style similar to Jack Bauers than Bourne's. I dont want to see Bond doing karate moves.

Yeah. Not karate-looking stuff. More like the bare essentials of hand-to-hand combat. No fancy stuff, just straight to what brings pain.

Sadly, no T&A allowed on the Hype.

For you poor souls who have not seen this excellent fight, I give you...

GOLDENEYE'S 007 VS. 006 FIGHT (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsyacUJzCbg&search=james%20bond%20fight)

Perfectly edited, not flashy, but gritty....an excellent fight scene all around

I hope the fights in Casino Royale are this good, but judging from the behind the scenes stuff, they could even be better

Enjoy!

I'd like to think that Daniel Craig is capable of a fighting style that I would describe to Bond fans as Polished Lazenby!......

Exactly and thats the way it is. I know he was a naval commander, hence, commander Bond but I believe he also had extensive military training as he was part of a military group, just cant remember which 1.

Well, he's certianly the most physical Bond since a young Sean Connery, and while Dalton was kinda a physical Bond, he was somewhat lame, and Roger Moore and Brosnan where twin...suave and sophisticated. Nice action in the trailer...ala...Bourne series.

I got it straight away :cwink: Can't wait for season 2

The high seas equivilent of SAS is SBS and entrance is supposed to be hard as feck:

You have to go through regular SAS selection and then try out for SBS :wow:

Yeah, series 2 starts on Thursday. Can't wait. :D

Regarding the selection; As well as being a massive Bond fan i'm also a big fan of 80's bRITISH tv show 'The Professionals'. As such, there was a film with Lewis Collins (who played Bodie) starring called 'Who Dares Wins' where he plays an SAS guy.

The film has a cracking example of how hard is is to gain admission into the SAS. Trust me guys, these fellas are HARD.

Craig had a few duds in the CR Trailer as well... Some of his one-liners came off really wooden. Like Dalton, he was much more suited for the "dramatic" dialogue

I don't think he was wooden, just subtle.

You don't need a wink and a nod to pull off a one liner.

In Craig's case, the wink and the nod most likely would have helped.

Well if you love your fights physical and gritty where you can basically feel all the blows, it's pretty much what you get here. Bond gives a beating but my god he takes one whoever he fights, it's brutal and Bond isn't afraid to do absolutely anything to finish the guy off.

December 8th :wow: Jeez that's harsh. Normally I'd recommend that you get a bootleg ASAP but just for the construction site chase it has to be seen on the big screen.

We should make a Gammy aid concert and raise the money for you to go and watch this!

My favorite action scene in the movie. The choreography and cinematography was awesome. Sebastian Foucan (Mollaka) did his own jumping stunts. Looks like he could give Jackie Chan a 'run' for his money!
