I need help on X-Men Legends!!!!

I got this game this weekend and I like it alot, but I need some serious help with it.
I'm on the mission where I think it's a flash back of the X-Men fighting the Sentinels. Your in the streets and it's day, and you get to play as Nightcrawler if you want, and I'm on this part where you have to destroy 8 Sentinels! 8! But what sucks more, all of my team is dead, and Nightcrawler is the only one left!:(:downI have it saved on this mission because I didn't want to die and start all the way over.
I have been on this part for hours and I can't beat it! What do I do? They shoot this beam out of their hand and when it hits you, you instantly die! Instantly! Even with a full health bar! Now that sucks!:(They're so impossible, they gang up on me and then beat the crap out of me. Ow.

Can someone please try to help me tonight? Please? I want to get this mission done tonight so I can do more after school tomorrow. Help is appreciated and thank you.:up:

Oh, and how much more do I have to go to beat this game? I'm afraid of the answer already LOL!:)

i was beginning to think i was the only one in this predicament. i have the same problem, except nightcrawler died on me first and i can never keep my team alive.

Your dudes shouldn't die after one hit from the sentinels...are you sure you have their stats levelled up? Try training some more as well to get additional levels/stats to use on your characters

Dunno. I waxed that level. Take your time, stick and move, just like Rocky. Try and get behind them.

me, I never actually got eight at a time. I got swarms of two, maybe three.

it was kind of easy for me, mostly cause my Cyclops had his stats pretty high and I was far from them, optic blasting up the yin-yang. they died pretty quick. your situation sounds... extreme.

try to proceed VERY slowly so that you only attract one of them out. makes it a whole lot easier.

You're probably not upgrading or equipping them. Teleport flurry or frenzy is really useful against the sentinels.

He he he, this happened to me once, but Wolverine was the only one left. I just kept running around and started slashing at them and when his health was critical I run away from the Sentinels and let his Healing Factor kick in. Man, was that funny. I manage to beat them, though.

I barely beat it with Wolverine. Nightcrawler died like right off the bat. Try and level up Cyclops and Wolverine,they do the most damage. Make sure Wolverine has his healing power intact,believe me,it comes in handy.

If I had Wolverine I would have kicked the crap out of them by now, he's my best character, but he's dead. I only have Nightcrawler left.

I just spent like 50 minutes doing the same thing! I can't beat them! I beat two of them [Wow a record!] and I saved it on another file, and I only had half a health bar left. Then I defeated one, and it said "5 out of 8 defeated!" Then I got halfway through another Sentinel then it did it's stupid yellow blast thing and instantly killed me. So I'm like "No big deal I'll load file 2 and I'll still have half a life bar and 5 out of 8 defeated"
Well, this part really sucks. I load it, and I find there are still SIX Sentinels left! Six! So something didn't save right, then I felf like crap.
I don't know how anyone can get past this with one X-Man. Especially when it's Nightcrawler. I don't have hime upgraded that much. [And I can't anymore because I'm out of points for him.]

It's a flashback so you're stuck until you beat it. Though I'm pretty sure there is a way to exit a flashback.

If I remember, I think you could exit it from an Xtraction point or pause menu.

theres no level select, thats only in Legends 2

Nope. You can't go back to levels once you beat it. I say just restart the game over. You'll have a better knowledge of what to do. You're not too far into the game to restart.

In the second game, at every save point (except for like...5 of them) you could change your team, or bring back dead chars. I havn't played the first one in a longass time, but wasn't it the same way?

There's a save point where I'm stuck at, but all it has is "Save Game" and "Load Game". There's no "Change Team".

The Sentinel Flashback is between the 5th and 6th missions. There are a total 25 missions in the game. You're not too far to restart. If it's hard, it's probably just you. Make sure your upgrading only the useful abilities. Don't bother making everything equal. Read some FAQs to get tips on upgrading your characters. A lot of the abilities in the game are rather worthless.

If you're having trouble now, wait until the last 3 or 4 missions. Good luck, kiddo. But you just need to stick and move. As long as you don't stop moving and you're smart about it, it shouldn't be too much trouble. Use health packslike crazy since Nightcrawler is really vulnerable.

Yeah, beating a level which you thought to be impossible is the greatest feeling is games. That's why I love DMC3 so much. Since EVERY level seems impossible at first, lol.

Just a future tip fer anyone else who has trouble with this section:

One important trick is to always level up yer characters BEYOND where they should be at any given point. You do this by fightin' in an easy Danger Room level with high XP baddies until yer XP gain gets extremely low, then it's time to move on. I was at level 15 before I even started th' Morlock tunnels. This gives you th' advantage of extra strength.

Second, Cyclops is yer best weapon against Sentinels. Upgrade his optic blast first an' foremost. Make sure you keep buildin' his EP more than any other stat (like maybe 3:1) so you get th' most shots out of him. If you ever come across th' Hammer of Nimrod accessory, give it to him. This only adds to his Sentinel smashin' power. Storm is also pretty effective, but Cyke is a bit faster.

Third, Sentinels won't appear until you enter a certain area. Whenever you encounter a Sentinel, always bring th' battle BACK to where you came from. If you go ahead, yer more likely to trigger another Sentinel. Take 'em one at a time, no problem.

Finally, in th' last section, same strategy as 3, but when yer absolutely faced with more than one, keep movin' an' blastin'. Use yer energy packs to keep yer EP up an' if you should run out before th' last one goes down, just strike fer all yer worth.

Also make sure you have some leadership b/c it's easy to combo with Cyke.

Those guards are the problem. What are they called? Akolytes? Whatever.
That big one who is hard to defeat and punches the ground making a big shock wave annoys the crap out of me. He does it, I fall over and slide on the ground, I get back up, before I can do anything they all start beating the crap out of me and that character eventually dies. And that character is usually Wolverine, of course it has to be my best character!
Anyway, they get me down and it's impossible for me to do anything and then they kick the crap out of me. I can't fight all of them at once, I have a time limit, and when I try to fight them all, I waste time and die.

Can someone give me some good advice on how to beat these idiots? On my team I have, Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, and Iceman.

ive been playing the PSP version of X-men Legends 2 and all i can say is WOW... how the hell does it have more things in it then the console versions? every character from the consoles are in it... including Xavier, deadpool and iron man... but then theres also Dark Phoenix, Cannon Ball, Cable, and X-man. To top that off theres about 8 comic missions...


i dont see how the hell they couldnt cut anything out and fit it in the game when the consoles didnt even have that much

Hmmm, RUN BY THEM!!

As said earlier, th' trick is to LEVEL UP. LEVEL UP. LEVEL UP. You play th' game straight, yer gonna have difficulties. Also, th' one thing you should power in Wolvie's arsenal before ANYTHING else is th' Healing Factor. You do that, combined with th' strike stats, an' you'll find you won't even need his special claw attacks. I've gotten Wolvie to th' point one shot is all I needed on most enemies.

As fer Cyke, hopefully if you powered up yer optic blast two shots take care of most of those guys. Also, if they gang up on you, use Storm's wind to disperse them. I believe there's also a gear that protects against stun...if you still have difficulties, might wanna try to buy it from Beast and equip it fer th' duration.

But I suggest if you haven't leveled up go to th' danger room, pick one of th' survival battles (th' one with th' GRSO where you hafta protect a civilian an' cars is th' best...mucho XP to be earned there) an' just keep fightin' till you get to a good place. Later on, th' Qualifying Exam 400 is yer ticket.

Well, I just beat the level where the Sentinels were at the mansion and Magneto was there. I kicked the crap out of all those things with Wolverine in about five minutes!
I liked the part in the game-movie where Magneto was saying something about humanity when the Sentinels were coming at him, and Wolverine asked Cyclops "Does he ever shut up?" Then Cyclops shook his head no. LOL!

Anyway, I have a few questions.

1. Is this game going to get impossible at the end? Like is it hard, but at least possible?

2. Have alot of people here beat it?

3. I see that Sabretooth and Juggernaut are going to show up, they are my two most favorite X-Men villains. Are those battles going to be fun?

As fer th' difficulty, th' final boss is a ***** to beat, so I suggest you make sure yer up to level 45 before even attemptin' it. Use yer last survival disc to level up till yer there.

The last boss is easy, since you can use all your characters thanks to the checkpoint. :)

I FREAKIN' BEAT THE GAME!!!!

I took a break from playing it for awhile. I have had alot of homework, and when I did have time to relax, I played The Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction. I started playing this game again about two nights ago, and I beat it today.
That Master Mold guy was freakin' hard! It took me three tries, and about 30 minutes to beat. I had to bring back a couple X-Men, and I had to keep switching them, but I beat it.
It was a great fun game!!!!

Now what? No level select, I can't go back to the mansion. When I go to the main menu to load my game, it will start me at the Master Mold battle.
So do I just get to look a cut scenes and loadscreens pretty much? No mansion or anything?
Because, the main menu is, well, BORING! I never got to look at all the stuff in the mansion.:(
I want a level select too.

No, not really. There's a couple of bosses who are pain in the arses, but just a few.



Quite long. Took me about 32 hours to go through the game once without doing any Danger Room.



Juggs yes, Sabretooth only on PC.

I don't have time to keep replaying levels and do my homework. If I did that I would be playing it until the end of May.

best tip i can give you for xmen legends 2 is to really amp up nightcrawler and max out his extreme attack. Then if you use nightcrawler during a boss fight, you can take down the boss just by using that one attack :up:

My best team for legends 2 was Nightcrawler, Storm, Iceman and Wolverine.

Iceman is porbably one of the best all rounders in the game, his iceslide is improved ao that if you iceslide into an enemy you cause them damage, he can builf bridges and he has some of the best attacks to take out multiple enemies, especially Ice Pillar.

Oh, wait! Use a cheat to unlock Deadpool and Iron-man right away. It's best to go through the game the first time with Deadpool, 'cause he rocks. :up:

I think you get the brown costume from the begginin', on the character select screen, you'll see a little message at the bottom that show's a button and beside it " Skin " .. Click that button to change his costume. After every level you get more.
