Wow, be honored Steranko will be there. He is one of the most amazing, creative artists ever. Look up Nick Fury: Agent of Shield. Google, and you'll probably get some examples of his amazing work

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Steranko

Awesome examples of his art there. He's so modern, and this stuff was done in the 60's.

Assassin, he's not usually on the "main guest" list, but see if a guy named Matthew Mohammed is gonna be there. He does a small independent book called Black Bastard (and he usually comes to cons in costume as the character, which means afro, fur coat, bling, and sunglasses) He's a very cool cat I've met a number of times, and his book's very funny. If I recall correctly, he's friends with Marc Wolfe, so ask him if he knows if he's there

I saw your post and thought I'd write. I am the ADAM TALLEY on the list of comic guests. I am a comic artist who has been active for around 9 years and this will be my 6th appearance at the Motor City Comic Con, this 19-21st. Quite excited. And to anyone reading out there right now, if you come to my table at the MOTOR CITY CON, and you mention that you read this post, I will hook you up with a sweet discount on select merchandise! How cool is that? Just mention you saw me here and you got a discount comin' your way!!!

Much love folks, ADAM T.

funniest thing happened to me today, i walk by marc wolfe and say hi and i notice the guy you described in the booth next to him, i asked him if he knew you and said it sounds familar (before i imed u) and then i said u told me about him and he said wait hold up, are you assassin from superherohype? i said yea lol and he calles out to marc and he says this is the guy who started that thread that mentioned us..lmao what a small world.

anyways yea, he was a cool guy, bought a few comics off of him but dude, he's canadian :( lol

met george perez, (****in a! i couldnt get a sketch) Martin Nodel (creator of green lantern) and got some original art and a few sig on som eof my stuff, got Dan Mishkin to sign my shadowpact #1 and teen titans for me (he created blue devil and kid devil) which turns out he's working on a book for actionopolis with my friend rob worley (1st arc of Advent Rising and the creator of Comics2Film.com) and got a bunch of prints and autographs from ppl. Billy Tucci gave me a free sketch and Stuart Sayger who is an artist on the VS card game in th eupcoming IC set sold me a few prints that include the cards on them and i'm getting him to paint me mr terrific tomarrow.

****ing george perez and his 18 sketches a day and no sketches on sunday bull****, and ontop of that he was a prick.

adam west is an *******, unless you're paying $40 for an autograph or $20 for a picture with him. I just went to shake his hand and he barley shooke it and wouldnt even take the pen out, and i waited in line for 25 min, but the best part is when he said vote for me in the next election in his family guy voice. John wesly shipp was cool as hell even though he doesnt know **** about comics, he was a cool guy.

and george gave me some spoilers about his recent work

they took him off of bold and the brave to draw a page in justice leauge #0 or 1 i cant remember that includes superman flying over donna troy's wedding, he thinks its supost to be a past memory that just means they're bringing it back into continuity, its a 2 page spread.

Elijya
05-21-2006, 02:22 AM
hey, don't be so quick to judge perez - first off, the guy's unbelievably popular, EVERYBODY wants a sketch, and he obviously can't please them all. Second off - the guy got diagnosed with some pretty severe health problems not too long ago, and it's what's caused him to slow down his work output considerably. I remember he canceled one show he was going to be at soon after finding out about some stuff, and he said he canceled because he TRIED just to go the movies, and the pain was so unbearble just sitting there for two hours he couldn't imagine taking a 3 hour plan ride and sitting at a con for 8 hours a day. He's taking various medications which're helping, but I don't think he'll ever be 100% again, unfortunately

Assassin
05-21-2006, 02:31 AM
no dude, i understand that, i know all that, he had a list the 1st day, i understand, then the 2nd day he wouldnt sign **** and he knew i wanted one from the day before and he still wouldnt add me after i offered to pay extra for the charity, and i said oky sunday i'll be here early for sure because i have nothing before hand and he said he wasnt doing any at all. I didnt like his additude either when i asked questions about his past work and stuff, he's wierd because he was all talkative 5 min before when the guys before me were talking to him and **** like that.
