KISS bobble heads are out there. In fact, they have them at my local comic store. Actually, I think just about everyone has a bobble head now. I never understood the appeal, though. I can't say I dig them at all. Further, I think it's funny that they made Rush ones. It's not like they're (still) remarkably popular. Maybe that's why these are the circa 1978 Rush likenesses. It's not like they have a hit TV show, a bestselling album, or are selling out stadiums across various countries. I guess all it takes is a fan with some capital.

Ok folks, a new set of 3 songs sharing a common theme...

1.I don`t want to waste a waking moment, I don`t want to sleep.
I`m in so strong and so deep, and so are you.
In my time I`ve said these words before, but now I realize,
My heart was telling me lies, for you they`re true

2.Any woman he wants, he`ll get...
He will break any heart without regret...
His days of asking are all gone...
His fight goes on and on and on

3.Darling I`m killed,
I`m in a puddle on the floor,
Waiting for you to return.
Oh, what a thrill,
Fascinations galore,
How you tease, how you leave me to burn.

good luck ;)

Hint 1... No song shares a word. They are linked by a theme (obvious when you know the answer)

Hint 3... New line from song 2 -> He strikes, like [......]

Hint 4... New set of lyrics for song 3 ->
Darling you won,
It’s no fun,
Martinis, girls and guns,
It’s murder on our love affair

You should get them now... ;)

Since I won't be able to guess for the next few hours, I'll post a quick and, IMO, easy one.

1.
She knows she got everything
that a woman needs to get a man, yeah.
How can she lose, with the set she uses
36-24-36, Oh, what a winning hand!

2.
Father wears his Sunday best
Mother's tired she needs a rest
The kids are playing up downstairs
Sister's sighing in her sleep
Brother's got a date to keep
He can't hang around

3.
I'll light the fire
You place the flowers in the vase that you bought today.
Staring at the fire for hours and hours
While I listen to you play your love songs all night long for me,
Only for me.

Happy guessing! :)

1. She's not a girl who misses much
do do do do do do, oh yeah
She's well acquainted with the touch of the velvet hand like a lizard on a window pane.
The man in the crowd with the multi-colored mirrors on his hobnail boots.
Lying with his eyes while his hands are busy working overtime.

2. ...
Her whole world's come undone
From lookin' straight at the sun
What did her daddy do
What did he put you through

3. She's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything
Was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that
special place
And if I stared too long
I'd probably break down and cry

1. City sidewalks, busy sidewalks
Dressed in holiday style.
In the air
There's a feeling

2. Hark! how the .....
Sweet silver .....
All seem to say,
"Throw cares away."
Christmas is here
Bringing good cheer
To young and old
Meek and the bold

3. Dashing through the snow, in a one-horse open sleigh,
Over the fields we go, laughing all the way.

Ok here's a new set of 3.
Everybody should be aware of these... even in Peru ;)

1)Babe, you're getting closer,
the lights are goin' dim
The sound of your breathin',
has made the mood I'm in

2)Pardon me, if I’m sentimental
When we say goodbye
Don't be angry with me should I cry
When you're gone, yet I’ll dream
A little dream as years go by

3)And when you smile the world is brighter
You touch my hand and I'm a king
Your kiss to me is worth a fortune
Your love for me is everything

All of my resistance
Is lying on the floor
You're sending me to places
I've never been before

song 2 verse 1:

Pardon me, if I'm sentimental
When we say goodbye
Don't be angry with me should I cry
When you're gone, yet I'll dream
A little dream as years go by
Now and then there's [.......]

song 3 verse 1:

Ok you guys... You don't seem to know that much Elvis. I thought I was being easy on you by posting 3 number 1 hits by the King...

1
Babe, you're getting closer
The lights are goin' dim
The sound of your breathin'
Has made the mood I'm in
All of my resistance
Is lying on the floor
You're sending me to places
I've never been before

Ooh, and I can feel it,
Feel it, feel it, feel it

[...] where the music plays
[...] like a tidal wave
[...] where the fires blaze
[...] , [...] , [...] , [...]

Ooh, my head is spinnin'
You got me in your spell,
A hundred magic fingers
On a whirling carousel
The medicine within me
No doctor could prescribe
Your love is doing something
That I just can't describe

Ooh, and I can feel it,
Feel it, feel it, feel it

[...] where the music plays
[...] like a tidal wave
[...] where the fires blaze
[...], [...], [...]

Hold me again,
Tight as you can
I need you so,
Baby, let's go

[...] where it feels so good
[...] where I hoped it would
[...] where I never could
[...] , [...] , [...] , [...]

2
(Now and then there's [...])
Pardon me, if I'm sentimental
When we say goodbye
Don't be angry with me should I cry
When you're gone, yet I'll dream
A little dream as years go by
Now and then there's [...]
Now and then there's [...] am over you
You taught me how to love
And now you say that we are through
I'm a fool, but I'll love you dear
Until the day I die
Now and then there's [...]

Now and then there's [...] am over you
You taught me how to love
And now you say that we are through
I'm a fool, but I'll love you dear
Until the day I die
Now and then there's [...] Now and then there's [...]
Now and then there's [...]

3
When no-one else can understand me
When everything I do is wrong
You give me hope and consolation
You give me strength to carry on
And you're always there to lend a hand
In everything I do
That's the wonder
[...]

And when you smile the world is brighter
You touch my hand and I'm a king
Your kiss to me is worth a fortune
Your love for me is everything
I'll guess I'll never know the reason why
You love me like you do
That's the wonder
[...]

Jump back, what's that sound ?
Here she comes, full blast and top down.
Hot shoe, burnin' down the avenue.
Model citizen zero discipline
Don't you know she's coming home with me?

2)

L.A. proved too much for the man
So he's leavin' the life he's come to know
He said he's goin' back to find what's left of his world
The world he left behind not so long ago

3)

All my bags are packed I'm ready to go
I'm standing here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye.
But the dawn is breaking it's early morning
The taxi is waiting, he is blowing his horn
Already I'm so lonesome, I could cry

These should be easy

The theme however isn't

It's not a common word shared in the titles or the artists..so what could it be? :)

Now the theme....

I'm not positive, but I think JD did write it. PP&M just sing it better. Just like Bob Dylan writes a lot of good stuff but almost anybody else sings it better. ;)

kbomb106
12-06-2002, 10:42 AM
1.
Standing on the corner,
suitcase in my hand
Jack is in his corset, and [...] is her vest,
And me I'm in a rock'n'roll band Hah!
Ridin' in a Stutz Bear Cat, Jim
You know, those were different times!
Oh, all the poets they studied rules of verse
And those ladies, they rolled their eyes

2.
[...]
I'm done with sergio
He treats me like a ragdoll
She hides
The television
Says 'i don't owe him nothing,
But if he comes back again
Tell him to wait right here for me or,
Try again tomorrow'

3.
Tell me now it's untrue
What did her daddy do?
He jacked a little bitty baby
The man has got to be insane
They say the spell that he was under
The lightning and the thunder
Knew that someone had to stop the rain
NOTE: This is not the first verse of the song; it's the first one that doesn't make too many references to the title.

Happy guessing! :)

1)
Train roll on, on down the line,
Won't you please take me far away?
Now I feel the wind blow outside my door,
Means I'm leaving my woman at home

2)
She would never say where she came from
Yesterday don't matter if it's gone
While the sun is bright
Or in the darkest night
No one knows
She comes and goes

3)
I'm just beginning to see,
Now I'm on my way.
It doesn't matter to me,
Chasing the clouds away.
Something calls to me.
The trees are drawing me near,
I've got to find out why.
Those gentle voices I hear
Explain it all with a sigh.

Correctly identified as Tuesday's Gone by Lynyrd Skynyrd

These are left (and the theme):

She would never say where she came from
Yesterday don't matter if it's gone
While the sun is bright
Or in the darkest night
No one knows
She comes and goes
