The cutscenes from MGS3 are edited into a 3 1/2 hour movie.
As for the LE not being available in Canada, Konami doesn't like Canada I guess

The Snake Eater movie is a re-cut 3 hour long movie featuring every FMV from the game. Its meant to be for those who couldn't complete the game, but wanted to see the FMVs.
Can't wait for it to hit the UK :up:

I've managed to snag a copy of the Limited Edition from a person in the states, for only 55 USD, completing me as a totally hopeless loser who bought the Special Edition of the Special Edition of a game I already own. :(
...and I already have a regular copy of Subsistence. :(

I only paid 13 bucks when I bought the LE last wednesday. :D
Though I did plunk down 30 bucks for the pre-order back in December. I took some pride when the guy behind the counter told me I was the first person at his store to pre-order it.

Its not like the Twin Snakes movie is it? You had to read a load between movies to find out what happened in the parts you missed (so I just played it again and watched the movies, longer but funner :up:)

Nope, the movie uses re-edited gameplay footage in betwen the cutscenes and plays codec conversations overtop of them at intervals.

I have it, but I don't have broadband internet and the broadband/cable company will not run it out to my house, because I live down a gravel off the highway, but Subsistence itself is an awesome game, already cleared all the duel mode battles, all the snake versus monkey missions, and have unlocked stealth, and have started playing through to catch the snake with the infite ammo face paint, I can't spell the name. Overall all its been pretty cool, I chose the I like MGS3 option on playing the game.

I don't have the network adapter for my PS2 because I don't see a point in having one. This comment is referring only to myself, not others.
I have internet access in my apartment (broadband) and that's for my computer.

I think that Kojima should reedit MGS1 and 2 into movies too. That would be a great set for fans to buy. And then we wouldn't have to worry about having a mediocre (you know it would be) movie made by a hollywood hack.

That's why I said a pile of boxes, there's always the chance they're not gonna notice ya if you're behind a couple of crates. But you are right, depending on where you hide and what box you use, it will be pretty easy to pick people out :down

Stephen, there are boxes randomly generated through each level in the online mode, it's not too hard to destroy a box in a level and then hide in the exact same place as the box was with your own box. Also, you can use the box to great effect, placing yourself around corners and tucked away, it's much harder to be spotted.
It has worked FYI, for me an others a lot. It's part of the online mode strategy. Since there are so many boxes around anyway, and the player is usually focused on shooting at or looking for an enemy player who's running around doing X, it's very easy to set Box ambushes and go unoticed in your box.
It's the best online experience I've ever had. Much more fun and addicting then anything I played on Xbox live.

I can't get past the 2 first soldiers, but I haven't REALLY tried, right now I'm having fun killing snakes and crocs (they're so tough :( ) and man, the camera is GREAT!

After playing nothing but Metal Gear Online for the past few weeks (it's that good:O) the urge to replay the story is begining to be overpowering.

And I played through it all watching the movies again like you're tempted to Zenin... I urge you to. It's just mind blowing no matter how many times you go through it... I almost find myself close to tears when it ends...

Damn. The torture sequence is ****ing brutal.
SigInt's conversation about the "turd monster", after you wake up from Snake's nightmare, was the funniest conversation I've heard in a game.

Is anyone else noticing how much cleaner to the screen is now? Color hues are much more virbrant and image depth has also been improved. I haven't seen a signle cutscene that hasn't been touched out or changed somehow. Very impressive.
I just got top score on The End on special duel mode... I'm so proud of myself...

Select "I like MGS3!" you'll unlock a couple different things on disc 1 and 2.
This game rocks.

Its been pushed back to a June release here in the UK due to online problems. That's the same month MGA2's out... now I have to save up :(
