From Internet Movie Database's News Bytes http://www.imdb.com/news/wenn/2006-03-23/ -
Herbie: Fully Loaded (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0400497/) star Lindsay Lohan (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0517820/) is desperate to play Wonder Woman (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0451279/) in the forthcoming movie version of the comic book superhero. The 19-year-old Freaky Friday (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0322330/) actress admits she'd like to showcase her talents outside of kid and teen films, but feels the role would be too fun to turn down. She says, "Wonder Woman would be cool. I'm trying to find roles right now that are different to anything I've done to show my abilities, to show that I have some sort of stretch in me. Because most of the things that I've done so far are aimed at younger girls and are light-hearted."
I can tell you right now: it ain't gonna happen.

Could have sworn they were real, seeing as how they actually shrank when she stopped eating, which is the result of not having enough body weight to actually support the size.

And then they'll be nominating her for the next Jean Grey, the Invisible Woman, Firestar (Anjelica Jones), Teela (Masters of the Universe), Cheetara or Pumyra (Thundercats), Princess Allura (Voltron), Princess Leia in a remake of the classic Star Wars trilogy, Princess Buttercup in a remake of The Princess Bride, the Virgin Mary, Delilah, Maid Marion in whatever future Robin Hood movies that might be made, Queen Guinevere in the next inevitable film about King Arthur, Mary Marvel (The Power of SHAZAM!), Catwoman...
The list will go on and on.
But this doesn't even begin to compare to the rumor of Paris Hilton being seriously considered for the role of Mother Teresa in a biogrpahical film about the life and times of Mother Teresa.

What do everyone think of Lindsay Lohan playing "Young Princess Diana" of Paradise Island? She, Obviously will be casted to the Flashback Sequence. Just like in "Superman Returns", Stephen Bender who is playing the Young Clark Kent in the Flashback Sequence of Superman's Childhood gaining his Supernatural Powers from the Yellow Sun, that helps him become Superman before he grows up and becomes an adult. Does that make sense to see Wonder Woman's Childhood that she will gain her Super Powers and become the Amazing Amazon til she is an adult.
First Her mother Queen Hippolyte created her from Clay when she was 7 years old. The Gifts were granted by the Gods, and she speaks these words to her and resurrected the image of her daughter and called her "The Goddess of Truth and Wisdom".

Although no talks have even begun, Lindsay Lohan (http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hc&cf=gen&id=1800025964) thinks playing the role of Wonder Woman in the upcoming feature would be "cool."
By Mark Umbach, FilmStew.com
Everybody is wondering which woman will be Wonder Woman. If it were up to starlet Lindsay Lohan, she says she'd take the pilot's seat in the invisible jet in a heartbeat. Buffy the Vampire Slayer vet Joss Whedon (http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hc&cf=gen&id=1800175424) is currently developing a feature film based on the comic book superheroine for Warner Bros. Pictures.
While Lohan admits that she's currently looking for roles outside her current milieu of teen a kiddie films, she thinks playing Diana Prince would be too cool. "Wonder Woman would be cool. I'm trying to find roles right now that are different to anything I've done to show my abilities, to show that I have some sort of stretch in me. Because most of the things that I've done so far are aimed at younger girls and are light-hearted," she recently told OK! magazine.
Before focusing on any other film projects, however, Lohan wants to get her album completed. “I’m trying to work on some lyrics for my next album in my free time. It’ll be a little different to the last one – I’m starting recording next month," she said in OK!.
For three seasons Lynda Carter (http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hc&cf=gen&id=1800039407) played the Golden Lasso of Truth-wielding, bulletproof cuff-wearing, American flag-donned hero on the CBS television series. One just wonders what Carter would thing of Lohan filling her red, patent leather boots.

That's because they're supporting characters the star. Catwoman and Elektra should not have been made, neither are characters that work as the main role, plus they're both technically villians. Wonder Woman could really work, the character has already worked on the small screen and has big screen potential and with Joss Whedon writing I think will work, he's had success in the female hero genre with Buffy and made a great big screen movie and I think with a character like Wonder Woman, it may actually get the attention it deserves from the general public.

For those who say 'female superhero movie' don't work, think about this:
Wonder Woman is probably one of the most admired superheroes around. Trust me, alot of girls out there like Wonder Woman, even if they're not comic fans. Hell, my girlfriend likes Wonder Woman.
Lohan is not the way to go. She should go ahead with Herbie 2 instead.

Not to mention this film is actually being given a chance to succeed with a proper writer/director. Whereas most other female superhero films have been nothing more than studio rush-jobs.
if she were a better actress, she could work...
Shes fine. Its not such a hard role to play. An outsider who doesnt fit in with humans, her acting and mannerisms would need to be a bit off...and thats about it.
I think honesty... (realistically) its going to come down to 'sex appeal' to sell this film and bring in large numbers to the non-comicbook fans.

I'm afraid that's very true.

Just remember, films like "Aeon Flux", "Elektra", "Red Sonja", and "Ultraviolet" supposedly had sex appeal but did not do well at the boxoffice. I wouldn't count on the sex appeal factor making "Wonder Woman" a great film for that reason (you just can't count young males taking their dates out to see a sexy woman on film). The film will need to be either family friendly or heavy on the drama and romance with a good seasoning of action to get people to go see it in droves.

I dont even know why people would discuss this, it wont happen. She has about as much chance of being Wonder Woman as Michael Clarke Duncan.
