Empire just ran a list that I disagreed with on a lot of levels. So I want all of you to list yours. And these are to be comic book movies only, i.e. directly based on comics. No "Incredibles", "Unbreakable", "Meteor Man", or anything like that. Only list movies that have already been released. I don't wanna see X3, Spidey 3 or Superman Returns on anyone's list. Oh, yeah-no animated movies, either. And base it strictly on your own enjoyment rather than any breakdown or analysis.

Damn, and I so wanted to list my most favorite anime ever. Oh well, I don’t think there are that many comic book films I feel worth mentioning but here are the ones I do enjoy quite a bit:

1) Frank Miller’s Sin City (more for the success of the style rather than the nice story achievement);
2) Spider-Man;
3) Spider-Man 2;
4) X2: X-Men United;
5) X-Men;

These others I still like but I don’t keep them in my personal top of my most enjoyed movies of all time:

6) Punisher;
7) Batman Begins (I am mostly a Marvel-only fan but I recognize and respect the achievement of this movie);
8) Blade;
9) Fantastic Four (if I don’t take it seriously, it is actually quite enjoyable);

The rest I’ve seen just make me go ‘meh’.

Why did I forget Ghost In The Shell? That's one of my favorite movies ever made.The same reason I didn't mention it myself and expressed my disappointment in not being able to. Chris did say no animation. That way GitS and GitSII: Innocence would've been the very first two in my top. Although now I have a question, anime being most often that artistic, can it really count on the same level as western animation?
Or was anime the very thing you meant by ‘animated movies’ Chris?

Well, to each its own.
As adaptations they both have their share of inconsistencies.
And, as movies, SM2 of course surpasses SM.
But do to a couple of morals, which in my opinion were played out lousy in SM2, I choose the first film, which I practically have no problem with for the most part, story wise that is.
And hey, it means more to me just because it is Spidey’s origin story.
I have the same opinion about Ghost in the Shell and its Innocence sequel.
Both are great movies, I just happen to prefer the original over the sequel.

"Catwoman" doesn't count anyway. "Elektra" is good for the first 5, maybe 10 minutes & then it's like they don't know where they wanna go. I highly recommend both V & Sin CIty, but that's just my opinion.
