What would it be? Out of all the items you own bearing the good name of Batman, which is your personal favourite?

Whether it be a great graphic novel that you can't get enough of, or a signed item even, or even the autograph of the legend himself Bob Kane - please, share it with us here.

I have a sizeable collection of Batman graphic novels and one-shot comics, and the likes, and I am adding to the collection constantly.

Two items of mine that I adore, that spring to mind, are a Batman Beyond comic book issue signed by Hilary J. Bader and the first issue of Hush signed by Jim Lee.

Jim Lee is an inspirational artist, and to have his hand-signed name over his glorious artwork pleases me no end.

So, as I say, tell us about your favourite items.

For me, I gotta go with my copies of Batman #404-407, which are the issues containing the Year One story. I love this story, and I have this fancy leather-bound copy of The Complete Frank Miller Batman with the story in it, but to have the actual comics rocks. Plus, the comics were a gift from my dad, who bought them when they first came out, so that adds a little personal attachment to them.

I have the entire collection of the Legends of the Dark Knight action figures mint on cards, The entire run of Legends of Batman figures, MOC, and the entire Hush series action figures I'm very proud of all those. But my favorite thing would have to be Detective Comics #615. That's the first comic I ever bought and it changed my life forever.

I've got alot off Bat-stuff, but my favorite is probably the Batman vinyl statue by Kotobukiya. That piece just captures the essence of the Dark Knight for me. I always find myself looking at it.

I'm also attached to my copy of DKR. It's what really got me into The Bat way back in the day.

Is it this one, Mister J? I must agree, if it is that one, then it looks truly amazing.

But most of the stuff produced by Kotobukiya is awesome.

I just thought id share these with you, they are press kits Warner sent out to various media for the promotion of Batman. They came in a folder and included typed descriptions of the movie and cast and also their hopes for the marketing. The black and white photos were also included and varied from kit to kit, because of this i dont believe there is an actual count of how many different photos there are. I do know the more rare ones go for upwards of $50. These are getting harder and harder to get as the years go by, especially in high gloss condition. The more rare kits also include b&w negatives from the film.

those posters are amazing shadowbat, and you really have some unique photos! as for my most treasured its Batman and Robin for Playstation one.. lol, its no joke, its my favorite game of allll time, even though I dont like the movie

it captured the feel of all the batman movies, and there were no nipples to boot :) it didnt feel liek you were playing a Batman and Robin movie based game, but more of a batman movie world based game at times. you could really solve crimes in this one and do what you need to do as batman. Very underrated game, becasue people cant learn to play it, and automatically think it sucks

but yes anyway, its my most treasured, and once i find another sealed copy on ebay ill buy that up and keep it sealed

Well at the moment I guess my most treasured Batman item would be my few Batman posters that I have framed. One of them is not however because the dimensions are so huge. Each are Jim Lee drawn posters.

My second most treasured Batman item would be my Un-finished Bruce Timm Animated Cartoon Series collection. I am just about done with the Batman Volumes but I wish to get some Justice League and stuff as well.

Next would be my low collection of Graphic Novels.

After that would be my collection of comics on the computer; scans and stuff.

I really want to get a Batman statue though; that would be awesome.

I have tons of Bat stuff. Right now - I'm all about the Medicom RAH figure (if you guys haven't noticed from my other posts), but with me - I always come back to the comics.

-The Dark Knight Returns 2, 3, 4 (All First Prints) 1 (Second Print but signed by FM)
-Batman & Me book signed by BK
-The Cult 1,2,3,4
-Son of the Demon HC 1st Print
-The Joker Comic #1

My all-time favorite is a 1st Print "Killing Joke" signed by Bolland.

If I still had this - it would definitely be towards the top of my list:

There's a scene in the 89 movie where the Joker is cutting up Vicki Vale's photos. In the movie you see the photos laid out all over the floor and table.

A friend of mine at the time worked on the set and gave me a large envelope full of the photos - taken right off the table after that scene wrapped.

I had them all in a photo album at my mom's house.

Unfortunately - they were lost during a move. I never saw the album again, but I hold out hope that one of my sisters may find it in there attic one day.

The 1990 prototype Batcave Command Center/Wayne Manor, the original concept sketches, and the prototype box art. Unfortunately it isn't the one featured in the Kenner Action Figure Guide (has a more defined sculpt for the interior wall and it's missing the date stamp) but it's still one of the several unreleased/destroyed versions. It's a pity that they held it over for the 1991 Returns line considering this one would have had superior coloring and different console screens for the original 1989 film.

The real cowl? No. It's a commemorative one you can buy at alot of Halloween shops for around forty to fifty bucks.

If I had the real thing, I wouldn't show it on here. I'd get buglarlized in an instant. :csad:

I think my most prized possessions are my special edition of The Killing Joke and a mug from '89 that my friend's little brother gave me this afternoon. It shows Batman tying up the Joker, it's really cool.
Not to mention my Joker card from the virals. :cwink:

Probably my crappy quality, recorded off of HBO, VHS tape of Batman. It's the first movie I have any clear memory of, and to this day I make my parents promise they won't throw it out during spring cleaning.

My DVD Box sets of the Animated Series are my favorite pieces as that series is what got me really interested in Batman in the first place. I think after that some of the figures that were particularly hard to get would be right up there.

I guess mine would be the unused theatrical mock-up poster for Batman 89. You can see it in the special edition version on DVD.

Theres a button in the back of the TAS Batman, and it lights up his eyes and the batlogo. I think these are both kinda kickass.

Choosed this one, cause it actually has my name on it on the first page!
There was some competition where you could win Batman Forever VHS. The question was something like "What is Catwomans real name?", and so I won and stuff. I still have the VHS too.

Can't remember where I got this one, I think my mom bought it from somewhere.

This one is Batman Forever's version of the Batcave, I got it for christmas.

I was also going to take pictures of some Joker car (From early 90's I guess) and the Batmobile from Batman Forever, but then decided not to.

Ok, there's quite a bit here...We'll start with non-Joker merch...

This is the last two issues of Hush, signed by Jeph Loeb, and the first issue of Broken City signed by Azzraelo (which I got before I realized how much I hated that arc...if anyone wants to buy it, PM me, I'm reasonable...lol)...

Then let's start with the Joker stuff, with my action figure shelf...

I want to get that Dark Knight Returns Joker with the little robot Bobby.

I want to get the one you have with the black suit from Kingdom Come, but my comic shop doesnt have it anymore :(

I also need to get another shelf for the figures, as I only have room for one more (set aside for the purple suited basic Dark Knight Joker figure)...so when the Killing Joke one comes out I'm gonna have no damn room for it...

I also need to track down new Nicholson and TAS Joker figures, as those are the two I've had since I was a kid, and they're pretty damn beat up.

Well, don't have anything signed or really expensive, but I do have the 89 Batmobile, Batwing and Batcopter toys with a stack of figures from the film. I vaguely remember the Batwing being really popular at the time so was lucky to get it (only 9 back then so had to beg the parents!). Also really like my 80cm (almost 3 foot) tall Begins Batman. Looks cool as hell and I have two of them, one still boxed and the other on display next to my 80cm Superman Returns Supes. For the record, Batman kicks his a$$.

It's not my treasured item but I didn't know where to post this, If you're a Batman fan you gotta go out and get the "Batmobile Owners Manual" it is a full description of the most current comic book Batmobile & comes with a set of Blueprints & all kinds of other cool stuff. Top Notch.

Sorry I don't have a pic but my most cherished Batman item has to be a 1966 Plastic Melmac Plate with Batman comic graphics on it. My grandmother gave it to me when I was a little kid & for that reason it has a lot of sentimental value.

I posted this a few pages back,

The 1990 prototype Batcave Command Center/Wayne Manor, the original concept sketches, and the prototype box art. Unfortunately it isn't the one featured in the Kenner Action Figure Guide (has a more defined sculpt for the interior wall and it's missing the date stamp) but it's still one of the several unreleased/destroyed versions. It's a pity that they held it over for the 1991 Returns line considering this one would have had superior coloring and different console screens for the original 1989 film.

I have to say the Dark Knight Collection overall is my most treasured line.
