Yup, that's one of the things they touched up. I think it's just a wind effect or something to make it look cooler.

Maybe, and I started a thread about this a few days ago, the Cannes running time was purposely displayed because the version that will shown at the festival will be shortened, while the viewers on May 26 will see the final cut of the film. I'm sure FOX just keeps forgetting to tell us that, thus adding and generating hype until opening day.

Yea, tell me about it. However, I disagree with you on the Wolverine clip (I believe that's what you're talking about). I think that the X-Men films could use a lighthearted scene every now and then, yet after seeing the new pics released (Storm, Kitty, and Bobby) and watching the missile scene, it appears that this scene isn't so happy-go-lucky as we all assumed.

well this is what i think, what i think...i think that it's a three way duel and the fight isn't nessecarly X-men vs. Morlocks/ army of mutants, or X-men vs US army....

i think that the fight is Army of mutants vs US Army(Sentinals), and the Xmen are trying to play mediator, but have to fight to save themselves as well...so yeah, i don't think it's 6-9 mutants vs 2000, but like 2000 vs 2000, with 6-9 xmen figting both sides

I gotta say that 103 min running time seems to be getting more and more impossible every day. We keep finding out about all these new scenes. But that Iceman/Pyro fight is just how I imagined it with their power beams meeting in the middle like that.

You know what else would be cool? If Angel had to outfly a fiery bird (not Phoenix) but something generated by Pyro, once again, like from X-Men Evolution.

Then again, it would be awesome if Phoenix got in a fight with Angel. But, if it meant not Storm and Phoenix fight then forget about it.

He's not the most offensively-inclined mutant, but don't underestimate Warren, he can do some damage. He can lift some 500-odd pounds in flight, meaning that he could do some projectile/dropping damage from above. He can also pick up and drop enemies or save teammates like you said.

Personally, I've always liked the fact that he's somewhat "weak". It makes it that much cooler when he saves the day. The avatar might be Pyro, but believe me, Sun_Down is a 100% Angel devotee. :p

i doubt that iceman's icecles will win against fire... if you will view the clip again you can see that pyro's flames is much greater than iceman's ice.

i also liked the scene where kitty was hugging iceman when a missle passed through them.

My jaw dropped when I saw Bobby versus Pyro special effects. I have nothing to worry about. The slow-motion was just mind-blowing. Yeah, a bit the same with Swordfish, but still. I loved it. Magneto easily wipes the military. And the slow-mo fits the music, too. I loved it when Pyro was lighting up the cars while Magneto throws them magnetically at the X-Men. Just amazing. The fires look better now. Looks like Storm's special effects in Jean's neighborhood have been tweaked. Looks way better. :up:

You're so right about that Magneto gesture. That one movement just says so much, especially in the context of that scene.

I definitely liked the soldier flying in the air along with his truck... It was definitely Jean's work. I just didn't seem to be Magneto. It was like a seismic wave...like at Alkali Lake...

the music in that TV Spot was intense and epic - just what it should be. If you compare this bit to the Leno clip, its obvious this movie will be serious. I really liked the effects. It was very realistic. Especially Pyro shooting the cars in the air with fire. Nice touch. I was also surprised with Iceman's ice effect - very much improved. The soldier looked awesome flying back with the vehicle. And Kitty and Bobby clenching each other as the missile passed through - this was just genious!

Seriously, I'm I the only one whose getting tired of this competition/comparisons. Both movies are coming out in two DIFFERENT months, what's the connection besides the directors, which the average movie-goer could care less about. There's always movie competition but why pair two movies that will premiere in two different times and be charted differently. MAY and JUNE. If anything X3 should be worried about DaVinci Code. I see Passions-like box office numbers for that. But I mean in the full spectrum of everything WHO CARES?
