I'm looking at the first published image of Spider-Man in the black suit and it's kind of there but it's not as clear as the website picture right there. It might be. It's strange that we get word that Ted Raimi and Stan Lee spilled the beans about Venom recently and now the website is up. Maybe they know Venom will be confirmed in the near future. The website could be the first step to that.

i mean im not much of a poster, but have been reading the vent for a long time... if there was supposed to be a villain in spideys eye, there would be a clear picture. so drop this stupid topic, theres nothing in his eye other then the reflection of probably a part of his arm and some rain. the poster is meant to signify that spidey is bothered about something and it shows the movie is heading towards a very dark tone, maybe not throughout the movie, but perhaps thats a picture halfway through the movie when someone dies or he starts to realize he is wrong....i mean god forbid that picture be the turning point in the movie, for all we know he could be sitting there and a uncle ben scene happens much like the second movie on peters bed( "no more, NO MORE") and right after that he gets rid of the symbiote some how... then brock gets nailed by it as he is taking picture of him, finds out spideys true identity....theres a twist for you.:confused:

Assuming it is Brock taking the pics in this SM3 site teaser, it would seem that Eddie's spidey-tracking skills have improved considerably. He's gone from photographing naught but shadowy blobs hundreds of feet away in SM1 to now zooming in for closeups of Spidey sitting atop the tallest buildings in NY. WOW. Give that man a raise. ;)

The new site teaser looks awesome and the thunderstorm audio backdrop is stonking. I'm pumped. :up: :up: so far on the site.

The pi is of Eddie, just after he and the suit bond, and makes his first public appearence. Peter decides to follow him and takes a few pics before the head turns and sees him, then the fight begins.

All I have ever noticed in the eye is that "R" bit and that's it.

It's just the rain, the night, the costume and *maybe* some buildings reflected and that's it. It certainly isn't another character or else it would be clearer.

You guys notice the design of the page with the black octagon pattern. The suit is gonna be a genetic experiment gone awry. Also notice when your first log on and it's loading the white flashing icon in the middle. I still think we're going to see the famous "white spider" on the front of the black suit but that it'll be animated and change with mood, or whatever character the suit is attached to. I'm not sure if I can explain what I mean but also "WHO" is taking the pics of Spiderman in that screensaver/flash intro? Brock? Or is that supposed to be Peter taking pictures of Brock in the Spidersuit? I think there are at least subtle hints to something there and notice how the camera focuses on the eye like that.

Let's put everyone's argument aside for a minute and presume there is something there. It's either Brock, Marko, or GG2. If Brock is a competing photographer then...

I didn't enhance those but that's what I saw when this pic was first posted awhile back. People zoomed in on it more and enhanced it and it did not look like that. Maybe Sony saw the reaction and the rumors about the reflection and modified it for the screen saver. LOL

I see it, but it's nothing. It's just a random shape in the clouds. The other day I swear this cloud looked like Abraham Lincoln. once it goes to spider-man just sitting there getting rained on, and the photos stop snapping i fou look close in the middle of the scren there is an outline of a rectangle going up and down. That's all it is. I have no idea what the point of it is. It doesn't distort the clouds at all or anything. It's just there.

To add to the "What's in his eye?" discussion (I just registered after lurking for a long time,) I've always thought it was a reflection of lightning in the sky. It's fitting, seeing as how it's raining and you can hear thunder in the website's animation.

I've played around with the super high rez version of that image and I can honestly report that there is only buildings reflected in the eye :)

There's NOTHING exciting in the eye. I've rotated it every direction and even enhanced the image to the MAX. I even tried mirroring it, inverting it and filtering the colours. I don't think Sony would've wanted it that hard to spot if there as something really there hinting at SM3's characters, villains or story.

There is a perfect circle in the reflection toward the bottom - but I's so tired of staring at it now It could be anything ;)

LOL. As if JJJ would spring for such high-tech equipment for any of his photographers, or pay them enough to afford such on their own freelance dime. But of course, they must be brilliant photographers anyway because in SM1, Peter Parker was able to zoom all the way in on Mary Jane who was umpteen stories high using nothing but a 50 mm lense. :rolleyes:

First I would like to say after reading some of the "eye" posts, the people that deny that there is something there are IDIOTS.

You'd have to be blind not to see it.

Second, If i remember my spidey comic history, there were times that Spidey fought Venom with a black suit on. (This "pre-green slobber" venom). So it could be possible that Venom/Eddie is taking the pic of Spidey.

Third, Remember the Spider Man cartoon, when peter is sleeping the symbiote attaches to him, theres the dream sequence, and some time after that spidey looks at his reflection, and sees "venom", before he even exsited?
This could be a take on that or something, you know the darkness inside spidey or the symbiote thats slowly taking over.

Just thought I bring up these points.

They're also going to zoom in on S-M's eye because it's so iconic. For non-comic moviegoers, it's a simple shape that they can easily say "That's his eye!" so that they can understand that he's wearing a black costume. It's a dodgy reveal that draws in the viewer. It's simply good advertising, not necessarily a sly attempt at focusing on a reflection.

If you ask me, reflection in the eye looks like the reflection of the walls of a soundstage in the distance.

The image is kinda fisheyed due to the curve of the eyepiece in the mask.

its obviously not peter taking pictures of venom, because the website says "spider-man is wearing a black suit" and its the same picture as the "black suit siting". its no doubt its brock taking the pictures. he gets paid by jameson to follow peter and mary jane and sees him go and do his spidey thing... the pictures are of spiderman after he did something terrible, this is when he loses the black suit and goes back to the good ole red n blue, loses the symbiote and brock being the closest person around the symbiote goes to him. which keeps his brock from telling people peter is spidey, because wel he is venom.... this will prob be half way through the movie, and venom becomes an equivalent villian to sandman, GG2 is only a villian for part of the movie because he finds out how norman really died, WAS NOT MURDERED by peter. so harry has a epiphany and decides to help peter in a fight he cant win. harry dies in the fight but kills sandman in the process, leaving the final fight between venom and spidey. spidey wins but venom gets away and the last scene is venom doin something bad with spidey coming in the back ground....TO BE CONTINUED....spider-man 4.
