Agreed, I don't think he spoke one line that whole issue. He doesn't really have much depth.

How do you all think that Sandman's character could be improved from a two dimensional thug to an A list villian? Any ideas?

The only thing that I can think of would be him being the leader of a gang. That may not make him an A-lister, but it would make him more of a threat to be a streetwise gang leader, probably a gang member himself. Plus, there is the despicable thing about using impressionable teenagers for his own purposes.

I agree that Sandman needs to become closer to an A-lister, especially with the movie coming up. I'm thinking becoming a gang leader would be a good way to improve him, have him use other people to do some of his dirty deeds and what not. He also needs an arc all to himself to reestablish him as a threat, and a harder villain to be beat.

I don't care what anyone says these two especially Chameleon they are two of Spideys best villains and dangerous to say the least.

I loved the story where Chameleon with help from Hammerhead planned to take over from Kingpin as crimeboss that would have been great seeing Chameleon as big boss.

So what're everyone's thoughts on Sandman's upcoming appearance in FNSM? It seems to be the closest tie-in to the movie yet, as it'll have Spidey's black costume, Sandman, and an alternate Uncle Ben. I'll be checking it out, it could be interesting, and I'd love to see Nauck's art on Sandman.

The title "Sandman's Castle" reminds of of twisted Toyfare Theater's scene on the beach. You remember: "Come on, kid work the parapet..."

But anyway, I always liked Sandman because he's very classic Spider-Man villainry. Any bad guy created in the first 100 has a special place in my heart, really.

I think Church was great but it's a real shame that they cut him and the Sandman down and made him Bens killer. I thought the idea of him having the sick daughter was pure genius and could have been great and make him a more sympathetic bad guy then how they tried to get our sympathy for him.

Anyway, I was glad we got to see Flint Marko sympathetic because to work in a Spidey film, Sandman would need a bigger backstory. I have always found Sandman interesting and cool in the comics, so seeing him having an even bigger backstory and seeing his shapshifting, etc on film was fantastic. :up:

I really loved Sandmans screentime and I think it was the perfect amount. No it wasent the perfect amount of screen time. He needed more scenes so he could be fleshed out a bit more, same with Brock.
