Exactly.
Batman333, Chris Nolan is currently working on his next film, "The Prestige," and he will not begin main production on Batman 2 until, probably, this fall. In the meantime there is, of course, some preproduction going on. But nobody is officially cast except the returning actors from "Batman Begins."

Also Chris's brother Jonah is working on the Script as we speak. I believe that Jonahs wrote the screenplay used in C Nolan's upcoming film "The Prestige" Staring BB's Michael Caine and Christian Bale and X Man's Hugh Jackman.

IMDB is not even close to anything remotely resembling real news.
As of this point Gyllinhall is a rumor, but from the way the name's been going around for a bit, I wouldn't be surprised if he was a studio favorite at one point (or still is, who knows?).

He's only being considered for Harvey Dent right now yes, but others see him doing other roles in the sequel like Black Mask mostly because of his age. It's just a rumor for now, he and Liev Schreiber are currently the only actors attached to playing the character.

Forgot about him, wasn't that just a one time thing? I thought Jett was the one who put his name next to Dent's.
I’m assuming here, OK, but I would imagine he would be up for the role of Harvey Dent if he indeed is in the mix.

No. When the Gyllehaal rumor came, Harvey Dent was already attached to his name. Jett wasn't assuming it like he did with Law, he got it straight from a source.
I'd be dissapointed if Schreiber didn't get it. He's proved he can act very well, has an uncanny resemblence to Dent, and has expressed alot of interest for the role in the last few months. Atleast he's still in the mix, so I'm glad.
BOF has been told that Bettany is most likely the front-runner for the role of The Joker. "It looks like it is his [Bettany's] to lose," says a trusted source. This same insider tells BOF that Liev Schreiber is still in the lead to nab the role of D.A. Harvey Dent. "Don't put much stock in the [Jake] Gyllenhaal rumor," we were informed.

am i the only one who thinks Gylenhaal SHOULD be Two-Face him or,don't kill me for this but,Denzel Washinton seriousley one of the worlds greatest actors, handsome, the scarring if it's red/purple would blend better with the skin color.for Gylenhaal handsome, great actor, looks the part, can play a decent pshycho, can be depressing (Brokeback mountain) and has the right head shape.

I think that Nolan and the producers considering Gyllenhaal is do to his pretty boy look so many have labled him as. It would blend in well with the destruction of his face do to the scarring he gets in order to turn from a hotshot D.A., to Two-Face. I'm not saying he's a choice I like, just putting it in perspective. I think age is a huge factor for the role of Dent, Gyllenhaal next to Bale just doesn't seem right to me even though he's a great actor nonetheless. Liev Shreiber without a doubt is MUCH better suited as I've said many times, Gyllenhaal would be perfect for the Black Mask department.

I think it has more to do with the fact he can act in challenging roles and less to do with his "pretty boy" looks

Gyllenhaal turned down the role when first offered, and only signed on after Ang Lee was set to direct. He felt that any project being worked on by such a great director would truly enhance his career and something he could not pass on. After all there is no reason not to take the role, besides homophobia. Gyllenhaal is one of (if not the best) actor his own age, and would benefit any film he is in.

He was Goyer's favorite choice before Bale came into the fold and was eventually cast. Anyways, like I said, there's no chance of that happening for awhile. As for him playing Two-Face, there are actually some people who see him as a perfect choice and others who don't. Bottomline is he's a great actor, and just because he played someone who was gay doesn't mean he's that way in real life it was just one role. Did you know that it's a fact that Bale played a gay man before getting the role of Batman and yet people still consider him as one of the greatest actors to play the character? Could you be a little less typecast?

It's not a big deal if you dont like him as an actor, but it seems you've made it pretty clear that it's because he was in Brokeback Mountain, and I just dont get that. It's called acting. Should Bale not be Batman cuz he was a racist in Shaft? Didn't think so.
