Hi!

I want tro compare the Spider-Man movies with the 1967 cartoon series.

So, which one do you prefer:

-movie Spider-Man or cartoon Spider-Man?

-movie J. Jonah Jameson or cartoon J. Jonah Jameson?

-movie Betty Brant or cartoon Betty Brant?

-movie Aunt May or cartoon Aunt May?

-movie Mary-Jane Watson or cartoon Mary-Jane Watson?

-movie Green Goblin or cartoon Green Goblin?

-movie Dr. Octopus or cartoon Dr. Octopus?

What do you think?

In this case I prefer the 1967 cartoon.

I haven't really seen that much of the original Spider-Man cartoon series. I've only seen one episode.

turning point and armed and dangerous are both the 90s equivalents to what we saw on the bigscreen.

they are both better than the films we got.

as for the older cartoons, i am unaware since i have not watched any with the goblin in and only one with dr octopus

It's crazy when you think a 20 minute episode of a cartoon achieved more than a 2 hour multi million dollar movie did.

Talk about having nothing to talk about, this was in the SM2 forum and has nothing to do with SM3, sigh. :(

Although "Turning point" and "Armed & Dangerous" have many elements of "Spider-Man" and "Spider-Man 2," the first movie didn't have the Green Goblin being so polite, 'Shhh, she's sleeping', when invading Aunt May's bedroom (although the costume in the Animated Series was much better)! Also, the movie sequel never had Felicia Hardy being kidnapped by Dock Ock. But these are only minor quibbles, here is the answere to your question:

Spider-Man- '67 toon

Aunt May- Movie

J. Jonah Jameson- '67 toon

Green Goblin- '67 toon

Doctor Octopus- Movie

I am not sure about M.J. or Betty, because they weren't in any of the episodes that I saw.

^I agree, I like the 90s cartoon and movies the best.

I didn't like the 60s show that much, I've only seen about 5 episodes.

Eh... the 60s cartoon had a great theme song and that's about the extent of it. I mean come on - Spider-Man swung all the way from New York to the Everglades in that show.

That's friggin' ridiculous no matter how you slice it.

The 60s show was ok. Anyone into the 80s series?? I know it only lasted a season, but I thought it was pretty good.
