How many people died during that little mind fu**ing Xavier gave mutants and ordinary humans? There must have been planes crashing or something during that whole scene. Link me if this has already been talked about cuz I didn't know what to search for.

We have talked about this somewhere. The Guard reckoned every human being on earth almost died. I guess cars and planes and trains must have crashed, and some people must have been killed in the chaos. Simon or Zak have been asked about it on the xverse website, they haven't answered the latest batch of questions yet.

actually i've always felt that just in general a lot of guards were killed by the brotherhood and wolverine over the course of this film

death toll is higher than any other marvel film of this rating, heck it's even higher than daredevil's

also one can say that xavier has enough control over his cerebro machine so that he doesn't affect those who are on the move as much as others who aren't in transport.

this is especially since he may have also killed quite a few mutants in the process as well before magneto got to him.

that's what i thought. People must of have in total distress from that fit. Along with the mutants in the one before. Such a sad incident.

The sad thing is that we didn't really get a sense of it. In fact, we don't get a sense of the wider world in Bryan's movies... it's his style to present intimate, small, closed settings... the X-Men were in a bubble. In X2, Storm says to Nightcrawler that they live at the school 'to be safe from everyone else' and that supports Bryan's thinking that the X-Men exist very separately, not integrating at all, despite Xavier's dream of peaceful co-existence.

I think a newspaper headline or something in the movie might have helped get across the point of the huge effects of Xavier's Cerebro mind-wave. When in his office at the end, Xavier should have been putting down a newspaper whose visible headline said something like:

Billions hit by global outbreak

Hundreds dead, scientists baffled by mass seizures
Virus weapon and solar radiation storm among theories

I agree, but the movie do represent what is happening outside the x-men. I think it was neat how they use news clips to support the plot and show what the world was doing pertaining to mutants. It is obvious that the effects were devistating. I don't think the president's address would have been do severe if the worst thing that happen was everyone getting a horrible migrane at the same time. It would be nice to have a more globally orinted x-men movie in the future.

Yea now that i think about that wtf?!! once it was over no one even cared! that would have caused just a global panic afterwards!! i mean people would be like

WTF WAS THAT!!! but no, it seemed that everyone just forgot about it and went on with their day,

its like as if they were like "oops a plane just crashed into the world trade center and i'm inside, oh well i'll just continue working la la la la laaa" and no one does anything about it, its not on the news or anything, people view that as nothing at all

"oops new orleans just got flooded, lets just go back to work who cares if we would drown trying to get to work"

"hmmm a tornado is coming towards our house, oh well I'll just continue to watch tv, la la la la

the cerebro thing should have just targeted people in that area or somthing, or it targeted washington d.c or somthing! the entire planet was just retarded and was seen as nothing afterwards.......
