I keep my Wolvie in his yellow & blues. Why? Because it's the only costume with f***ing health regen.

That's what I hate about the customizable costumes. Characters that had health regeneration their entire life, will only have it if you wear the proper costume.

LOS ANGELES, Oct 27 (Reuters) - A video game which lets players pick a dream team of Marvel super heroes flew in its debut week into the No. 1 slot on UBS Securities' weekly U.S. list of best-selling video games.
Activision Inc.'s (ATVI.O: Quote, Profile, Research) "Marvel: Ultimate Alliance" pits Marvel teams against Dr. Doom and the newly reformed Masters of Evil, who have launched a bid for global domination. Available on most currently available systems, the title has won strong critical reviews. Versions for Sony Corp.'s (6758.T: Quote, NEWS, Research) PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Co. Ltd.'s (7974.OS: Quote, NEWS, Research) Wii are expected next month, when those consoles are also expected to be released.

So, who has beaten the game yet? Just beat it a 2nd time and bothered to let the credits roll. It's god damn hilarious what's going on in the background. You will hear Marvel characters in a sound booth, voicing themselves. It's too funny.

Theres no difference with DD, other than his melee animation is faster than the rest of the characters.
But yeah, Nathan, I beat the game 3 times now I think. I leave the room when the credits roll though, so I'll load up one of my saves right before Doom and just go let it run.
Does anyone else think the voice acting is pretty good for the most part? I mean, why you guys don't like the Spiderman or Various other characters is cause of the animated series and movies and such, but they're still a pretty good take on how the characters sound.
Except deadpool. I hated his voice.

This game is pretty fun...i'm in Asgard right now. The only thing i'm dissapointed with is the slowed down fighting from XML2, and the lack of unique powers. A lot of characters have repeat powers, and most of the powers aren't too spectacular looking like in XML2. It's also dissapointing that a lot of moves don't look better as you upgrade them like in XML2

Well, since the game is doing so well in sales, I must ask: Who would youse guys like to see in a sequel?
Red Skull? Hulk? Magneto? Sabretooth? Thanos?
The Spot?
Well, I'd start by making the playable roster consist of 30 characters and no exclusives.
As for playables:
6 X-men consisting of Cyclops, Rogue, Wolverine, Storm, Beast and Jean.
10 Avengers consisting of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, She-Hulk, Wasp, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Hercules, Quicksilver and Black Panther.
4 Defenders consisting of Hulk, Dr.Strange, Namor and Silver Surfer.
The Fantastic Four would also be there.
As for the remaining six characters, Spider-man, Speedball, Firestar, Nova, Karolina and Nico from Runaways.
As for villains, Green Goblin, Gladiator, Venom, Moonstone, Baron Zemo, Atlas, Ghost, Doc Ock, Count Nefaria, Baron Mordo, Blastaar, Terrax, Firelord, Electro, Sabertooth, Blizzard, Thanos and Magneto are a must. I'd say Dr.Doom and some Asguardian villains, but considering their prominance in this game, cameos would be enough. You know what would be really awesome though? If there was an Exiles side quest and you do a kind of world tour based level. One part would be MC2 future (Spidey meeting his daughter would rock) and another the 2099 world. That way Thanatos, False Face, etc would be villains or NPCs.
DOG LIPS

Just finished the game, with a few minor flaws but I must say it was much shorter than I'd have hoped.
Great fun though.
My crew ended up being Cap, Iron Man, Wolverine, and Luke Cage. I'd started with Deadpool in Wolvie's place but damn Logan kick ass. I kinda regret giving all my strike upgrades to Cage now.
And somehow I didn't unlock SS. What did I miss? I beat Galactus.
Next play through is going to be the 100% run.

Easy. Just try the other room. Two doors leading to two tickets. One leads to the carnival and the other leads to...I forget. That whole stage kind of blurs together after a while. The point is in the room that has the pitfall game, you got two doors and that's where you get the tickets. They're pretty easy to get.

I didn't get Silver Surfer the first time beating the game either so I couldn't wait the second time through I put a cheat code to unlock him and DD. X-Men: Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Iceman, Angel, Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Shadowcat, Emma Frost, Gambit, Rogue, Psylocke, Bishop, Nightcrawler, Havok, Polaris, and Warpath
Avengers: Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hank Pym, Wasp, Hawkeye (Clint Barton), Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Vision, Black Widow, Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Wonder Man, and the Falcon
Defenders: Hulk, Dr. Strange, Silver Surfer, and Sub-Mariner
Fantastic Four: Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the Thing
Heroes for Hire: Power Man, Iron Fist, Black Cat, Shang-Chi, Misty Knight, Colleen Wing, and Ant-Man
Young Avengers: Patriot, Wiccan, Hulkling, Iron Lad, Stature, Hawkeye (Kate Bishop), Vision 2.0, and Speed
Other: Nick Fury, Spider-Woman, She-Hulk, Daredevil, the Punisher, War Machine, Black Panther, Cable, Deadpool, Beta Ray Bill, Scarlet Spider, Arachne, USAgent, Captain Marvel, Ghost Rider, Elektra, and Moon Knight
2. No exclusive characters for the Playstation Portable, next-gen consoles, etc.
3. The skins would have their own abilities, take Spider-Man for example. His regular costume would have his regular abilities, and you have the fear of running out of webbing. The symbiote suit has unlimited webbing and increased strength, but weakness to sound. The Iron Spider suit has the mechanical arms, cloaking device, gliding capabilities, more resistance to damage, resistance to toxins, etc and has any weaknesses that will be revealed in Civil War.

Well, actually one of them doesn't exactly die if you save the other. If you decide to rescue Kurt, you will get a ending telling you that Jean survived the vortex and comes back as the Dark Phoenix to take revenge on those who let her die.

Avengers: Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hank Pym, Wasp, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Vision, Black Widow, Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Wonder Man, and the Falcon
Quicksilver is a must. I need to see how superspeed would work in a game like this.

Quicksilver is a must. I need to see how superspeed would work in a game like this.
Play Justice League Heroes. The Flash actually worked out pretty well in that. I could kill pretty much everything without effort while my other character lagged behind on the opposite end of the screen once Flash's Speed Force boost had a few points in it.
As for MUA, I just beat it yesterday with a team consisting of Thor, Captain America, Ms. Marvel, and Iron Man or Iceman, depending on my mood (I used Iron Man mostly for the beginning and later levels and Iceman mostly during the middle).
I used Thor's Classic skin because it had what I thought would be the best bonuses, although on my second time through I'm thinking Beta Ray Bill will be better; I realized that I don't really use any of Thor's elemental powers, I just use him as a melee tank with Hammer Toss for those obnoxious enemies who run away like pussies. Sucks that the King Thor skin has such crappy bonuses because, although I was hoping for a Simonson armor skin, the King Thor skin still looks badass. Costumes aside, however, I was pleased to see that Thor is one of the better tanks in the game, as he damn well should be.
Cap turned out to be fun because of his shield throw, although he got less useful as time went on. Ms. Marvel surprised the hell out of me. I'm not a fan of her as a character, so I felt kind of dirty having her on my team, but her Prism beam turned out to be the best power in the game for me. I could clear out whole rooms in the training missions in about three blasts by the time she got past level 30. Her team boost is pretty good, too. Iron Man probably shouldn't have even been on my team, since I found early on that he was too weak to be a tank and too low on energy to be a mage type of guy, and his powers just generally sucked. But I kept him on because I just find bouncing Uni-Beams all over small rooms to be so much fun. Iceman was a pale imitation of his XML self, which I was actually happy to see. It was kind of obnoxious to have him be stronger than the tanks with his cold damage boost at a decent level. Now he's back down on the low- to mid-range tier where he belongs. I basically just kept him on my team because I had already leveled him up a lot before I realized that he sucked, and I didn't feel like working on another character after all that.
Anyway, fun game. Pretty much XML3 except for the cast and a few minor gameplay changes, but still fun. I'm gonna play it on Hard, probably with a more melee-focused Thor, the Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange, and someone else... maybe Reed Richards... this time around.
Oh, and for my money, the Hulk needs to be in the next MUA game. I was very disappointed that they made a game that's supposed to represent the entire Marvel universe without the Marvel universe's #1 tank. It also prevented me from using the New FF or the Defenders as teams (and no, Luke Cage is not a suitable replacement for him, no matter what the stupid team selection screen says :cmad: ).

1. Characters
X-Men: Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Iceman, Angel, Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Shadowcat, Emma Frost, Gambit, Rogue, Psylocke, Bishop, Nightcrawler, Havok, Polaris, and Warpath
Avengers: Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hank Pym, Wasp, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Vision, Black Widow, Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Wonder Man, and the Falcon
Defenders: Hulk, Dr. Strange, Silver Surfer, and Sub-Mariner
Fantastic Four: Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the Thing
Heroes for Hire: Power Man, Iron Fist, Black Cat, Shang-Chi, Misty Knight, Colleen Wing, and Ant-Man
Other: Nick Fury, Spider-Woman, She-Hulk, Daredevil, the Punisher, War Machine, Black Panther, Cable, Deadpool, Captain Marvel, Ghost Rider, Elektra, and Moon Knight
For characters I'd keep the number of X-men low, 6-10 at most. Also some of the characters you listed are duplicates. Warmachine doesn't need to be a seperate charater, an alt of Ironman is fine. But when you equip an alt suit that is a different character they should call them that character. So when IM is wearing the Warmachine suit they call him Warmachine.

Did anyone else think that Spider-Girl should have be an alternate for her dad, I mean just select from her dad's menu so she was more like her comic book powers? Would it really be that hard?

they did this bc Jessica doesnt really have any alternate costumes, so they gave her other characters. As far as Spidey, well he has alot to choose from, so they werent going to waste a slot on an alternate character. IA it would have made more sense

Uh, Archangel? He had lots of offense with his metal wings. They could just take stuff from all over his different phases and combine them into a pretty good character, i.e. the paralyzing razors from his metal wings, the Soulsword he stole from the Exiles' Magik, and the healing power he gained as a second mutation. The latter two were really lame in the comics, but they would make him a pretty good character in the game, and it'd be nice to have another healer besides the Silver Surfer.

Well since we can't have THE Archangel since it's not an AOA story, wouldn't your version of Warren look weird. He'd have metal wings and regular skin? The healing would be weird too; before he just had to bleed on your wound, and now he has to do blood transfusions. Having a move called "Healing Transfusion" just seems too out there.
Doom was a pretty good fight things got crazy there and one of my guys Mr. Fantastic got taken out but Thor, Cap and Wolverine came through.
Yep, I finally beat the game as well.
Getting to Doom and getting the machine charging him with energy to shut off was the toughest part. After "stealing" some of his Odinpower, it wasn't that hard to beat him. It's good that his Doppelganger henchmen/heroes are easy to kill and constantly giving you heath and energy bonuses.
I beat him with Mr. Fantastic (he just had to be on the team!), Thor, Wolverine and Iron Man. I maxed out Thor's hammer toss and just kept firing it at everyone during the final melee.
Fun game with an unbelievably great storyline. A true Marvel fan's dream.
Also...
That cut scene where Doom is triumphant, blasts Cyclops and grabs a wounded and maimed Colossus send chills down my spine. That's simply some amazing work.
I hope that the producers of the FF2 movie take note of that final image of Galactus setting up Ultimate Alliance 2. That's EXACTLY how he should look in the movie.

The game is ok, I only wish they had left the X-Men characters out of the game as we have the X-Men games to play, why put them in here as well? I would rather those spots be taken up by other characters we normally do not get to use.
We have Power-Man but instead of Iron Fist we get Storm, Iceman and or Wolverine?
Same thing with the Fantastic Four. I would rather have seen The Vision, Hawkeye, Hercules, Wonder Man, Quicksilver or Quasar.
This is not abad game, it sure has some flaws and graphically on the xbox, it looks kinda crappy. The gameplay is ok but nothing special.

there's so much they could do with Angel. Since they had him transform in XML2, they opened up the possibility for him to appear with his metallic wings in a future game and they had a moveset for him. Even if he didnt have the metallic wings and had his normal wings, there are plenty of moves for him:
1/2. They could easily give him 1 or 2 moves involving the sword
3. Angelic Thrust- Archangel flies forward and thrusts the enemy into a wall.
4. Wing Spin - Radial attack that involves Archangel spinning around and hitting any enemy closeby.
5. Wing Blast- Archangel flaps his wings and creats a gust of wind that causes knockback
6. Slam- Archangel grabs the enemy, flies in the air and slams them down on the ground
A few years back, he briefly was given new powers in which he was able to turn his wings into light energy which he could shoot out and also could form his hands into talons
7. Talon Slash - Archangel slashes his talons forwards
8. Energy Shot - Projectile attack that involves energy shooting out of his wings. If they gave him a Death skin, it would be the metallic flechettes
9. Healing Aura - Archangel has the ability to heal himself and others so this would make a good boost for him

You have to lure those spider exploding things into the circles. They will transport up to Mandarin and destroy the robots. You then can teleport up there using the glowing pads and beat him until he teleports to the next section. You keep doing this with the different pads until he dies.

Pick up the spears that the frost giants drop. Then when Ymir slams his club into the ground run at it. You'll jump on the club and then timed button thing happens as you use the spear to climb his arm and get to the back of his neck. Then tap B* until you stab him in the neck. Repeat 4 times. Also is you flub the button combo climb thing you lose your spear.

Beat the crap out of ice giant, grab spear, when Ymir slams down his club, you press grab and follow the mini-game...Man, I love this game. It is so much more than a beat-em up. The bosses that should be insanely difficult ARE insanely difficult. Loki, although requiring a simple strategy, took out everybody on my classic Avengers team but Thor. The Destroyer armor was a son of a *****. Mordo and Ultron were suprisingly easy but that's the only flaw so far. I like that some villains are actually hired help too. Would have been a kick to see Agency X as bosses. All three of em at once.

What he means is this game was meant to fairly represent all the major groups and X-men is a pretty major group. Previous games or not. Hell, just 4 X-men alone doesn't feel fair compared to jesus knows how many Avengers. Maybe the next game will take advantage of the next gen capabilities and have twice as many characters.

Doom and Loki were in Odin's tendure care at the end of the game. The Runaways are really a niche title and character wise I don't see them joining a group like the Ultimate alliance, which is why they wouldn't be in a game like this.
For the sequel I think the easiest thing to do is to base it off the Infinity Gems Saga. Thanos would be the final boss trying to obtain all the infinity Gems for himself, but each chapter would figure its own villain trying to get the Inifinity Gems. For example in the First Chapter, the Red Skull trying to get some of the Inifinity Gems that have landed on earth and hires some super villains to do the leg work. So an army of super villains led by Klaw are invading Wakanda to get vibranium for the Skull. At the end of the chapter you face off against the Skull in his mansion/bunker hideout. I don't know how a boss fight with him would go, perhaps he can be hiding in a control booth while he sicks his Sleeper Robots on you or he could use one of the gems to aid him battle like the
In another Chapter Kang is using the Time Gem to mess with the time stream rewriting to suit his desires. So you have to travel different eras to stop him, Medival England to help the Black Knight fight Kang's forces and Morgan Le Faye, the Wild west to help the two Gun Kid deal with Kang's minions and the future (pick your timeline, there are many to choose) from Kang's incursions, until you face Kang himself in Limbo.
There should be another cosmic chapter, where you go to the Kree Empire to contact the Supreme Intelligence about the locations of the other gems (you have to fight the SI and Ronan) then you have to go the Universal Church of Truth's HQ to free Adam Warlock from the Magus and obtain the Soul Gem. They should also work in Annihilus and the Negative Zone. The final chapter would be fighting Thanos at his HQ.
Tons of goon villains not featured in this game should be featured in a sequel: Electro, Hobgoblin, Blizzard, Sandman, Whirlwind, Klaw, Crossbones, etc should work as henchmen for Skull or Kang or some other other Earth based chapter boss.

I'd only really want Iron Fist. No need for Shang Chi if you have Iron Fist.
Speaking of the sequel, I was thinking of that Civil War angle on it, and I think the following roster would be awesome for a sequel based around that.
X-Men: Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, Beast, Angel, Iceman, Jean Grey.
Fantastic Four: Well, no duh here.
Avengers: Captian America, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Ms. Marvel, Iron Man, Hawkeye, Thor, Wasp, Ant-Man, Sentry.
Young Avengers/Runaways: Karolina Dean, Victor Mancha, Wiccan, Hulking.
Defenders: Dr. Strange, Silver Surfer, Namor.
Others: Ghost Rider, Daredevil, Deadpool, Cable, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Misty Knight, Falcon, She-Hulk, Cloak, Dagger, Black Widow, Wonder Man.
Oh, I also want playable Namor and the original Human Torch.

Hopefully then they'll get rid of the exclusive characters and give the characters more unique abilities. Does anyone else think the abilities each character has should be reduced? I mean, if they can't think of unique moves, why add any more at all?
Guys can I ask what are graphics like on the 360 version? From what I've read in reviews some say great and others PS1 quality.
They are NOT Ps1 quality, who the hell said that?

did I say he should be in MUA? Someone said he couldnt be a viable character bc there wasnt much the developers could do with him and I was making the argument that there are a ton of moves and powers that could be implemented with him. Besides like WorthyStevens4 said if they were going to put in X-men, it would have been more interesting had they put in new characters instead of ones from XML

I was talking about Angel in regards to MUA, but I didnt say he should be included. I'd actually shy away from doing the XML2 thing of playable villains... I don't think splitting was a good idea, and while I think it'd be wise to use a few off-spotlight characters, you can't very well leave out Captain America and Spider-Man just cuz we always have them around.

Story--
The obvious with Thanos and the Infnity Gems is definitely the way to go. Each gem's sub-storyline could be presided over by a specific Marvel Villain... I think each chapter should be fulfilling in and of itself, as was not the case with MUA. For a twist, Thanos could be using the heroes to collect them for him, but I think the twist of having some villains join up with the heroes to prevent earth's destruction is cool enough... especially if you have the right ones.
Time - Kang (A time twisting storyline to have fun with!)
Space - Norman Osborn (thanks to the Time or Soul gems... yeah. He's got a scheme all his own)
Power - Silver Surfer (who believes he can guard the universe best by letting no one but himself near it, the power courrpts him and he is thankful to be freed)
Soul - Ronan (a nice venture into a Skrull-Kree conflict)
Mind - Professor Xavier as Onslaught... revisited right too... how'd you like all the X-Men that aren't used as mind-controlled villains, eh?
Reality - The Collector (a managerie from all over the multiverse... fight your way through that...)
Ego- Nick Fury (How do you think you've been staying on top of all this all the time? Now you're a team without a base and without a leader cuz Nick got all Nemesised up... fool me once...)
Oh... and of course Thanos gets all of them at once finally, though you'll fight him earlier whe he has just a few gems a couple times. There you go, a game the likes of which the world has never seen.

I think Red Skull is more of a power player in MU than Osborn, Green Goblin seems way out of his league when he tries to move beyond street level activities. Osborn seems obessed with just messing with Spidey and has little interest in anything else, he would be wasted as a chapter boss, plus Red Skull has a history of trying to obtain cosmic power (Cosmic cube) while Osborn does not.
Silver Surfer and Nick Fury being chapter bosses is silly IMO, there are tons of villains who can fill that spot. Also I hate Onsalught with a passion and hope he doesn't appear in any video games. heroes truning evil and being chapter bosses is stupid, when there are a ton of vile Marvel villains who can fit that role. I think Magus should have the Soul Gem (he was involved in the comics Inifity gems saga afterall) and you should go to the Kree Empire to get information from the Supreme Intelligence on the infinity Gems having to fight the SI first (with Ronan being a sub boss in that level.)
I only idea I like there is Kang with the time gem.
Here's the layout I would have
Act I: Marvel Earth: The Red Skull has the power gem and is attempting to find the other gems. He has an army of villains searching the world for him, doing his bidding along the way (Skull has Klaw and his minions take over Wakanda to gain control over the vibranium found there.) At the end of the chapter you have to confront Skull his lair, a mansion/bunker located in the Swiss Alps (Arnim Zola and Crossbones are mini bosses there).
Act II: I don't know yet
Act III: The Time Stream: Kang has the Time gem and is using it reek havok across the timestream. Go across the time stream to fight Kang's minions, before confronting Kang at his base in Limbo.
Act IV: Outer Space: The evil Magus is attempting to obtain the Infinity Gem, starting by kidnapping Adam Warlock and stealing the Soul gem from him. Go to the Kree Empire and force the Supreme Intelligence to tell where Magus is, go to the Negative Zone to acquire devices that will prevent Magus from absorbing your soul (Annihilus as thew main boss, Blastaar as the mini boss.) Then face off against the Magus at the Church of Universal Truth HQ.
Act V: Titan: Thanos has taken over Titan and has gained control over the Reality Gem. You have to travel to Titan and overthrow Thanos before he can enact his plan to get the other gems and have universe at his mercy.

In it you would have the choice to play as the good guys, or the bad guys. Pick a team of heroes or a team of villains. Heroes plot line Kingpin leading up to Galactus, Villains Plot line is Scourge of the Underworld leading up to Galactus.
You have characters that exclusively hero, exclusively villain, and those that are available for both missions. both characters would be those who have waffled through out: Elektra, Deadpool, Punisher, Venom,

Why do people keep adding obscure characters in their suggested playable character list for the sequel? The New X-Men and runaways really wouldn't belong in an adult game like this. I'm all for them having their own game as I'd buy it in a heartbeat but there are so many adults not being utilized; we should get them out of the way first.

Act V would be the last chapter (these games have 5 acts so far), so Thanos would be the last boss and Titan would be the last level. At the begining of the fifth Act you discover Thanos has been using you to get the other gems from the other villains without having to get his hands dirty and Thanos attempts to force you to give the other gems to him.

Which is what?
and also, so, the ending is pretty much made by whether you chose to save jean or nightcrawler?
i got blade from that carnival game, i was suprised, it could of been easily passed by. are there any other unlockables that are kinda easy to pass by?
and what happened to the heavy rock music in the first couple missions!? and does it come back??!

For those having trouble with Lilandra, how levelled up are you? It shouldnt be that hard. There is a console right next to her that you should hit. A few shots of Ms. Marvel's Prism did the trick for me. Spiderwoman's charged up venom blast should also take it down easily.
I think my game is ****ed up or something. I've destroyed everything in the room where Lilandra is and nothing happens. There are other things that I can't destroy (i've been trying but nothing happens...they don't even have a meter above them saying how much damage you are taking off)

Well, the game does have a few bugs, and with a few I mean like a gazillion. Try to load your last save, or just try to save her on your 2nd play.

i'm in the early stages of the game.. if I have one critique so far, hero AI seems to be too aggressive by default. I know there’s that cue where you can make them hold back in ‘defensive’ mode, but it seems like it only lasts for a minute or so unless you keep cueing it. I’m playing by myself, and it seems I only get to whale on bad guys for a little before the others go nuts and mow down the rest; especially with the bosses I’ve faced so far, the battles have been a little underwhelming. I’m playing it at “Normal” (you’re locked out of “Hard” until you beat the game at least once).

I can't even get any of the cues besides aggressive and follow me to work. :(

yeah the A.I. sucked. I thought JLH could be bad at times but at least the defensive and aggressive commands seemed to work there. I think they are useless here bc the characters will do whatever they want

And why the hell do characters just sit around sometimes during boss fights?! I was fighting Starbolt and Warstar and half my team was just sitting around with a thumb up their ass.
Anyhoo, I figured out what the issue was with Lilandra. You have to save her while the self-destruct clock is ticking away...I didn't do that, and if you don't you can't save her afterwords. (I missed saving her on my PSP version, but I was playing my PS2 version with a friend and I saved her)

My AI always just stood there. And when I would fly to an island or something, they'de just jump to their deaths.
So for a good majority of the 4 times I beat it I would only have 1 or 2 chars alive.

haha. My teams did that around Dark Cyclops and Dark Psylocke. What pisses me off is that the bosses attack whoever you're playing. No matter who you switch to, they're drawn right towards you. It's annoying when you try to strategize something or have them chase someone well you attack them with someone else. Yes, it's tough, but it is also annoying. Like they're all psychic or something.
PS - Titanus is awesome! He's like Juggernaut but somehow cooler. Reminded me of the flashback level from the first game where you play the old school X-men in the X-mansion. The Skrull planet to me was the most fun level, by far...Or it could just be playing the Fantastic Four. Those guys are really fun to play together.
And the last fight is a son of a b**ch. Can't get past the Fantastic Four (the second time...like we really need to fight them twice). The Thing and Human Torch, sure. It's the damn Richards that seem to be the married tag team from hell.

Yeah. Go to a Shield access point and choose "extract." It'll let you travel to other access points. So you won't actually start at the very beginning of the level. But you'll be there.

LOL.......sorry, but some people really don't know how to be subtle. Aside from the few headaches(lazy AI, bosses focusing on my character)I think the game was pretty good. Different from XML/2 in game control and leveling, but if you could adjust right away, it actually made things easy. I also liked that the costumes made certain players better.

It would've been nice to focus on certain character attributes. I do think that it was kind of a cool idea to let certain costumes do it for you though.
One of the things that really bothered me was that some powers need to be charged, or you have to point your character in a direction to use it. In a group of people, you don't have that kind of time

Jump in it, drive around and run things over. With the test your strength game, you need to grab a mallet that one of the clowns will be carrying around, then run over and hit it.
And on a side note, I liked Murderworld, cuz I hate clowns, and killing them brought a smile to my face

I liked the charge moves. They're great from affar and catching someone off guard. That boss AI makes it impossible though, and these are your most powerful moves.

Jesus christ is Daredevil's comic mission difficult. The damn thing's in the dark! All you have are like...basicly shiny outlines. Just glimmers here and there. Only obvious things are the laser blasts from the Doombots and Ultrons. Have to use radar all the time. I haven't even reached Bullseye yet (Although he wasn't really a problem for Elektra).

I'm an adult, I certainly read New X-Men, Runaways and Young Avengers. I also know of many children who play MUA. I don't think character, readership or player age are big factors in this issue. As for obscurity, I think you need 2-3 offbeat characters in there to keep things interesting... you're going to skip over someone's favorite, no matter what, so why not do something cool instead of same-old-same-old... that's the basic though process I had.
Five act structure (duh, GL1)... makes perfect sense... I like it all of a sudden... I do long for more popular/powerful mini bosses though... I'm still in Asgard, but the only ones I've recognized have been Spidey Villains...
