Just beat the game! What an awesome ride. And how about that ending, eh? Galactus engulfing the Earth in his hand? Gah! I was a tad let-down by the "alternate endings" though. There's really only one ending, with a bunch of cut-scenes at the end explaining how since you did this or didn't do this, this is what happens in the future. They don't really seem to be in continuity with each other, and in some, I didn't care.

Example: In the Galactus level, you're given a choice to save the Skrull homeworld or not. Nick Fury tells you not to really worry about it since they will still hate us anyway. At the end, since I didn't save them, the Watcher tells me that because their planet was destroyed, the Kree and the Skrull had a huge war and millions died. Uh...Kree and Skrull lives? So what? Screw them. Still. Good stuff.

Oh, and by the way...unlocking Nick Fury and putting him on a team with Cap, Iron Man and Thor does NOT create a team of The Ultimates, even if you put all their Ultimate costumes on. Kinda disappointing, the only teams you can make on PS2 are Avengers, New Avengers, and the FF.

eh. Beats having all of earth's heroes destroyed.

I'm gonna go try that Daredevil mission again. Man do these things require patience though. The bosses in this game seem easy till you're facing them all by yourself. Winter Soldier constantly kept your brain and hands moving.

Jesus christ is Daredevil's comic mission difficult. The damn thing's in the dark! All you have are like...basicly shiny outlines. Just glimmers here and there. Only obvious things are the laser blasts from the Doombots and Ultrons. Have to use radar all the time. I haven't even reached Bullseye yet (Although he wasn't really a problem for Elektra).

Are you freaking kidding??? How lame is that!! So either way, you're screwed. But I guess I agree with above, Mystique killing Professor X is a lot better than Dark Phoenix taking revenge on the heroes. Where the hell was Odin on that one, anyway?

When I got to the end and only had 2 DD dolls, I figured screw it and just put in the code...In fact I put in a code for everything at the end because it pissed me off that I'd have like one comic book mission still missing and two comic books still missing, etc. Especially after how long this game is.

The mission is fun but those lasers get rrreeeally annoying...Elektra's stage was annoying too. Goddamn AIM and their sheilds. Cap's was the easiest so far, I'd say. Once that sheild gets loose, you don't really have to do much.

hmm thats weird, bc if you got him at the end, he should have been levelled up pretty well. A maxed out Extended Strike and Devastation make Daredevil near unstoppable. Learn to use those to your advantage when using him

Just beat Bullseye who once again was pretty easy. Just a matter of patience. And yeah, those moves became my favorites. Very useful. My strategy became pulling in the Doombots and Ultrons closer so I could use Devastation on them and just beat the crap out of em from there. :up:

Off to check out Wolverine, Ghost Rider, and Black Panther now.

Jump in it, drive around and run things over. With the test your strength game, you need to grab a mallet that one of the clowns will be carrying around, then run over and hit it.

And on a side note, I liked Murderworld, cuz I hate clowns, and killing them brought a smile to my face

Black Panther and Ghost Rider's comic book missions are pretty straight forward. Fun too. Wolverine's I haven't beaten yet though. Just can't beat these bastards fast enough. I mean Warstar was enough but then you have AIM members all over trying to wreck things.

Black Panther vs Captain America was lots of fun though. :) Mordo didn't really stand a chance against Ghost Rider.

You can use XBOX 360 controllers on PC's but I don't know where to download the software you need to use it.

As soon as I beat it, I'm going through the whole game as Daredevil and no one else.
Every character I've tried so far is super fun to play as, I foresee a whole damn lot of replaying.

We were fighting the Wrecking Crew and I noticed that Piledriver was low on health so I wanted to kill him first, but I couldn't remember which one he was so I said to my friends "Which one is Piledriver"? I think it's in Mephisto's realm somewhere. I know I was using the new FF (Spidey, Ghost Rider, Wolvie, Luke Cage) when I found it, so towards the end. You also don't get the choice of which to save until after you beat Blackheart. Also the only villians you fight are the ones in the game.

Also who LOL'ed like a fool at the voice over during the credits? Like how Nick Fury get's attacked by evil ninja's while recording his lines. Or how Loki gets the crap beat out of him by Thor in the booth. :woot:

Well I got Panther today. I'm scouring act III for the comic disks I'm missing. And I found the last Panther action figure. But as soon as I get DD I'm totally unlocking all his suits. Then will I have the Marvel Knights team.:word: Dr. Strange, Ghost Rider, Daredevil, Black Panther.
What do you talk to DD about? Electra and Bullseye mostly.

Although I didn't think he would be much, DD turned out to be my favorite hero to play. Sure he only has a few special melees, but he can still brawl with the best of them. My favorite move is his "scorpoion-mortal kombat" move with his cane. Every time I pull an enemy I keep waiting for him to say "Get over here!'':daredevil

I also like his blind sight, increases everyone's damage and illuminates baddies. especially helpful when you have a lot of losers running around and you are trying to polish them off. I've gotten to the point where I like to layer the power ups: Slow time, Blind Sight, Slow time

Just got the game. A lot of fun, but I prefer JLH just a tad, mainly because I'm a bigger DC fan. I love how in-depth this game is, but it's just not as smooth as JLH.

Both are great to own though, to go back and forth.

There are codes for all of that. page 291

Strange is unlocked during the Mandarin Mission. you come up on him fighting a hoard of Shou Lin something or others.

Blade is unlocked during the Murderworld Mission is in a giant claw machine that you need to do the same minigame you did to beat the Kraken

Ghost Rider is unlocked in the Mephisto's Realm Mission. he is in chains that you have to break, then you trade a member of your team to put him in.

Silver Surfer is unlocked in the Skrullos Mission after defeating Galactus

Daredevil and Black Panther are unlocked by collecting a action figure of each hidden in each act.

Nick Fury is unlocked by beating the game.

The two heroes at a time disappointed me at first, but now I go back and forth. I like the 4 player teams on M:UA, but it gets a bit chaotic at times, so it's nice to go back to the 2 player mode after playing that for a while.

And yeah, the character selection is just dumb. Except for one, maybe two levels, you should've been able to choose your characters. While it's not a huge drawback (mainly because I love every single character), I look forward to a JLH game that lets you choose.

The only thing I'm disappointed in are the comic book missions....I have played a few so far and I can safely say NONE of these missions are based on comics I was dying to recreate. At least the XML games had new maps or some anyway based on popular comics such as weapon x or AOA....Blade vs Spiderman in Memphisto's realm? Why not vs Dracula in his castle, even if its just a slightly modified version of doom's castle?



That said, it was a big disappointment, but its pretty much one of the few faults I am unhappy about. Everything else more than makes up for it. I just fought Galactus, that was an amazing boss fight. Titanus was hard as hell to beat.

So I decided to give this game a go and purchased it on Friday. Swapped in some old games for it. Indigo Prophecy, Wolverine's Revenge, and Dead Or Alive 2.

I didn't expect I'd enjoy this game very much as there was just so many flaws with X-Men Legends. This game blows X-Men Legends out of the water. The gameplay is infinitely improved. It's no longer clunky and awkward, instead using the characters and switching between them is a joy. It's good, almost traditional arcade style beat 'em up action. I love pounding the crap out of never ending enemies with my dream team of heroes. The customization is good. Attributing points here and there to the heroes powers gives the game some depth. It's not all about mindless bashing. The novelty of creating a team, 'purchasing members', and levelling them all up, plus unlocking costumes, there is alot to this game to keep a man busy. Unlocking characters is a good idea too, if not a little frustrating.

One complaint I have is that I want Daredevil for my team, but I've yet to unlock him. I'm on the Skrull Homeworld and only have 3 Daredevil toys. They've perhaps made unlocking characters a bit too challenging.

One thing I like is that it seems you can influence the direction of the story with a couple of different choices. Like, I could have decided SPOILERS!!!!! to leave Lilandra to die, but I saved her. Wonder what would have happened if I just left her there.

I've called my team The Warriors. Not very original, I know. But I like it.

The Human Torch. I haven't much enjoyed Torch actually, I think I'll swap him for Thing.

I've seen people on this board complaining about team AI, but honestly I haven't had much trouble with it. Once or twice, a team mate has died falling down some hole or something. But in X-Men Legends that type of thing happened all the time! Plus team mates use powers fairly often which is good. AI hasn't been a big problem for me.

So the novelty of picking your favourite heroes and creating a team, the good fun beat 'em up action and significantly improved controls and gameplay, and all the other stuff... it's also nicer looking too, even on the PS2...

I give the game 8 out of 10.

There are a number of things they can do to improve the sequel. Better level design. Kicking the crap out of people is fun and all, but they need to be more imaginative with the levels. Look at God Of War. There is no reason a MU:Ultimate Alliance game couldn't match God Of War.

More unique moves. They've improved moves from X-Men Legends but they can improve them further still. Like striking from above, every character pretty much does the same thing. Why don't they do that whole thing where game designers put guys in suits with little balls all around it? They can make some very cool and unique moves that way.

well, now I'm on to the fifth point of the cross. These demon leapers keep coming. I destroyed all three devil's swords at the edge but can't seem to end this part.

I'm past the part with cutting down the trees. I'm at the last of the five crosses. There are these monkey demon type things that keep jumping on everyone's back. I destroyed three devil's pitchforks as well as three boxes in front of the ring of lava. There is not torch to grab that I can see.

I damaged him some, but by the time I defeated Dragonheart (5 times or so) I was down to Iron Man and Thor (Spidey and Thing dead prior). It gave me a hint about grabbing a weapon with the square button (I have the PS2 version) so I'll try that next time.

Just to ask, cuz it doesn't work for me. If you go into individual hero options, under Spidey's stats, it says he has a web zip. Are they counting that as web swinging?

Is it just me, or does Hell have really cool music? Also, for a game that tried to cram every aspect of marvel into it, it lacked the small time neighborhood aspect. I'd much perfer the story to start from that point and then graduating to S.H.E.I.LD. IT would have provided me with more oportunities to use DD, Spidey, and Cage. (Sure I can use them all through out the game, but I like to use my heros logicly.)

I've gotten all of my sim disks completed except for the two above, Blade and Iceman. I have no idea why I can't seem to get anywhere with them. I'll make it all the way to the end and then get my butt handed to me by Dark Spidey / Mysterio. I've tried taking in the fire swords from the fire giants and nada. I've attached Deathbird's Feather for the health regen just to stay alive and nothing. I'm finishing up my game on normal, am just exiting act 4 and all of my characters are around level 37. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

For Blade I've been using his primary slash, the exploding projectile and his buff for damage & healing. He's in the costume you start with.

For Ice, I'm using Ice beam, Hail storm (the one that gets attached and follows) and the buff that causes cold damage and slow when anyone gets close. I've got him in the spikey costume.

Attatch Dark Uru's hammer or Spider Bite on Blade and just use your normal attack. If you're running low on health, run and use his gun attack (maxed of course) until he drops some health.

Ice Man use his Polar Explosion and normal attacks with (you guessed it) Dark Uru's Hammer. Shouldn't be too hard. Don't bother with his Frigid Aura or his Ice Melee Damage thing cause it lowers the damage.

Part of it, yeah. Once you beat it, Utatu goes back and tells you everything you did or didnt do (saving namor or letting him be sick for example) and shows a little cutscene of what you caused.

I'm just gonna unlock him the old fashioned way, I've got a solid team of: Thor, Strange, Ghost rider and of course BLADE(who is the best character I've played with so far, he's unkillable atm????)

Well his Glave is a standard range attack, his slash is a standard slash, but his explosive spike does serious damage, and his stun grenade is very useful. But his costume upgrades are the best, his health regen makes it so he's pretty much indestructable. I was playing his comic book mission, and Dark Spidey couldn't even hurt me, I even stood there for a few mins, just letting him hit me so I could see how good the health regen was, and it lloked like I took no damage, so Blade is the best character I've played with so far!

I just got this game now but 3 days ago for the xbox and I love it! the graphics need some work but its a fun game. I also wish that there where more moves to pull of on the fly. My team right now is

well when you think it's all gonna be over around act 3, suddenly the gam expands, remember you saw galactus in the trailer, if you can't see him fitting into the game yet, there must be a fair bit left right!!!! Act 4 is really fun!

I killed jean, and cap was pretty cool, but his best move is his shield throw, so there's not much to upgrade him with:(. And daredevil, I've not unlocked him yet, how come you've got him so early on? Doctor strange is cool, but is soooooooo de-powered from the comics, he has some good moves, but no great ones. And I haven't played as Ironman yet!

Are you drunk? Caps Shield throw + Dark Uru Hammer + his boost = around 150damage per hit endgame on normal. That should pretty much take all the stuff you need (skill points and equipment). Add his shield damage mastery from his suit and you get around 175 damage with 350 crits.

As for Dr. Strange...Falteen Flame is amazing if you throw Firestars Wrath or Dark Uru's hammer on him. Each secondary hit does around 25-30, and then gets added in with his suit power mastery, caps boost so on and so forth. Also, Black Magic is single handily the best spell in the game, as when maxed it has a 40% chance to insta KO enemies.

Want to have even more damage? Throw Deadpool in there and use his boost to add the +31-40 onto each indivdual hit of anyones secondary hits. This makes him the second best character in the game, next to Mr. Fantastic.

Mr fantastic, he sucks! Really boring! No style, Dr Strange can't take that much damage, he's still in my team though, when I level him up a little bit more, he'll be better, but he's nowhere near as good as he should be, He's like one of the more powerful characters in the marvel universe!

I like the sort of side quest element of act 4, it's pretty cool. Galactus wasn't the greatest of battles though, but the story element really was like something out of a comic book so far!

Luke Cage is just a raging black man that won't die endgame if you throw his HP boost on and let the computer swing away.

Mr. Fantastic is badass, and so is Invisible Girl with her awesome telekinesis.

Her hold spell is overpowered. Expecially if you throw her suit with max Energy Regen, and the +20energy per KO from item, you can just throw everything on the room in that spell and they wont be able to do anything against you.

Oh, and her boost (protective bubble) is insane in the Shi-ar missions and begining missions.

She was my key in the Gladiator battle. Her comic mission was probably one of the funnest bc she is such a weak character but her powers make up for it. The enemies cant touch her when the bubble is up bc all their shots get reflected off her and all you need to do is trap them in a bubble and combo away

I'll keep Luke in mind for Endgame. Deadpool is a character though I never got into.

I find the FF characters to not really be interesting to play. With the exception of Torch, I thought they were all boring. IW gets more interesting at higher levels but Thing and Mr. Fantastic are just bores IMO

Yeah Mr. F's super throw is pretty cool but that and the move where he jumps and stomps down are the only good ones that I use. For the most part I tend to find tanks boring so I knew I wasnt going to like Thing. I surprisingly loved Luke Cage and found him to be a better "strong" guy on my team

But despite all this I did say I was going to do a solo FF run. Ive completed the game but now have a new job and started to play FF12. Whenever I get back to MUA, I'm going to try and utilize the 4 as a team
