i will say just one thing. if i am correct this is the first pic of kal penn. and he is serious. i dont see any camp. if in this movie is any camp than they will only show it in the theater. until now i didnt see camp.
Showtime

Why do you relate camp to Kal, just because he was in a funny movie before. Also, how can we relate one serious photo to the fact that the movie is campy or not.

this is enough evidence that there will not be any camp. :)
There shouldn't need to be any evidence either way. DB! What am I going to do with you.
The reason you needed evidence is because you related Kal to Camp. Now he has a serious look on his face and that means the movie won't be campy?
I for one don't think the movie will be campy at all, but not because Kal has a serious look on his face, because of the storyline.
This will be the most pained Superman to date.

It's weird though - in the blog about the comic-con footage, the S on the space suit REALLY looked like the traditional S - NOT Reeve's, but the trademarked S, with the "dot" at the bottom of the S and everything. And it looked way bigger than the one on the normal suit.
I don't know... must just have been the effect of being scaled down so much - it was pretty low-res footage.

No problem, theres a lot out there that I forget as well. I agree with you though, just because they start off in comedy doesn't mean they don't have the skill to be more than that. I think Robin Williams went to Julliard, so I know he has to have some more things under his belt, it just so happens comedy might be where he's comfortable. The guy has serious roles on his resume other than Van Wilder and Harold and Kumar. Im not sure if anyone remembers the show Angel, but Kal Penn played a particulrly nasty Wolfram & Hart villian who causes a psychic backlash againsy Cordelia, one of the heroes. His SPFX headpiece looked a bit corny, but he was still pretty nasty, and didn't play the role "funny".

I like this one, but I just remembered, Spacey played Dr. Evil in Austin Powers 3, now I'm gonna' be thinking of that the whole time I'm watching this movie. DOH!Damnit! I completely forgot about that until you mentioned it!

Kal was actually friends with Routh for years before they worked on Returns. That might be where you came up with that comparison. He's one of Luthor's henchmen in this flick.

Ah...well, maybe this role of assitant will be better than Van Wilder's.

I think we will be getting a more evil version of Gus Gorman.

Just as long as we don't get that scary arse woman from III that gets turned into the cyborg thing by Gus's supercomputer. That scared the absolute crap out of me when I was a kid and still really disturbs me now. Those eyes and that hair and....awwww creepy:eek:

They should have just went ahead and done Braniac as the computer, and made a humanoid version of Brainiac appear from the comptuer. Then they could have Superman, instead of Clark, fight Bad Superman and hit the Bizzaro angle. They botched it.

Yeah, S3 had so much potential. I still love it though. :D

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I remember being absolutely terrified when she was turned into the cyborg. The noises she was making. GAWD! The noises. Make them stop!
