DS Lite, Does Anyone Else Have One? (PICS)

I'm absolutely amazed at how different the colors look on this thing. The screen looks more like a printed image behind a window, rather then a screen. I'm glad I imported it, no regrets. Play-Asia got it here in 4 days! I wish I had the white one though. Mine already has a few visable scratches! I try to clean the thing too much. Any one else got one? Or plans on getting it when it hits the states?

It is indeed a thing of beauty... Fixed all issues I had with the first DS... Only now I think I am going to get eye cancer from playing it set to its brightest :(

I've been holding out on getting the DS until there were at least a few games that I really would want on it. That and I figured by that time there will be a better version of the system out anyway.

So as soon as it comes out here (hopefully late May/early June) I've decided it's time to get one.

I'll be getting it for:
Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Zelda is THE reason I own any and every Nintendo system)
New Super Mario Bro.s (No gimmicky water pack, or anything!)
Brain Age (Played a demo of it at Circuit City where I work. 'Tis going to be addicting...)
WarioWare Touched!
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
Sonic Rush (anyone play this? any good?)

Superstar saga is for the GBA. It's sequel, Partners in Time, is out for the DS. :up::up:

Most stores will offer discounts. EB Games let you trade in your GBA for a SP and only pay $70 I think.

That's not even the date of the new SMB. It's constantly switching between May 17th and May 23.

Even then, our Nintendo rep said that if they are planning for a may release, they should have heard about it by now, because Nintendo never releases an announcement so close to the supposed launch date. He said his higher ups told him to expect a large marketing campaign shortly after E3 to promote the hell out of the DS Lite and the wifi network.

It's actually May 15th. Last I checked, IGN had it as May 7th. Wikipedia (which has better updates) has it as May 15th.

I just recieved mine from Japan today. I'm simply astounded how bright this screen can go. It completely puts my PSP to shame. I stood out in broad daylight and played Metroid Prime Hunters with absolutely no problem seeing anything. I'm also suprised how long the battery for this thing is lasting at the brightest setting. Im up to 10 hours so far, without hitting the red light

Its nice to hear another satisfied customer. I did the same thing today, which is really odd. I was out in day light, and played Metroid with out a prob. Nintendo knows what its doing on the style side of things. Games are picking up as well too. Hopefully more good things are on the way.
