I think it would have been sweet if you could choose whether you'll be a good guy, or bad guy.

Imagine being a bad guy, and gaining experience/money/etc for robbing banks. Being able to fight against the "good guys" who play this game.

You could team up with other bad guys, to take on other Hero Teams.

It would multiply the possibilities of this already awesome game greatly!

I'd give it a 9, only because it seems to get a little repetitive at lower levels. I hear it gets alot better at 15+, though

I'll make a super team for the release game. You have to be level 10 to make one, and the guy I made now just make level 10. So I won't be able to get it before April 25.


You can have 50 or so on a super-group, and 8 on a temporary team that you do some missions with and such. I'll show you the character creation screens while I'm creating my Hulk

Over at Penny Arcade, they commented that the combat itself was fairly deep, but that the game didn't really have much variaty beyond fighting. No things to flesh it out beyond running around in spandex and hitting things.

U can't get the real game until Wednesday, but if you bought the preorder packet, downloaded the client and have setup your pre-order account, you can use that to play starting Sunday at 12:00 noon.

On tuesday @ 12:00 midnight you must have the actual purchased software to continue.

If you can get a pre-order Box, it comes with a CD Key. With that CD-Key You are able to create a PLAYNC account. That account is what logs you into the game Sunday. So if you do want to play on Sunday, then you would need to go to Best Buy to get the Pre-order Box w/ the CD Key.

The problem is that when i downloaded the Game Client, It was sent in an e-mail, and that was when the beta was still active. So I do not know if you will be able to recieve the game client for download. It took me a few days in order to recieve the download site and i do not know if they are distributing it or not. Seing as how it's the Beta test Client.

So it's a judgement call. If it doesn't work, then you'll just have to wait untill Wednesday on the official release of the game.

All i know is, I'm gonna be a dark superhero....and i will go by the name of 'Pulse'.....I was involved in a accident on my 18 birthday - i was electricuted. I was rushed to hospital, where i was declared dead.....then defying nature itself, i came back to life - with the powers to send out magnetic pulses such as the ones seen by the guns in Minorty Report. hehe:)

theres no such thing as an MMORPG w/o a monthy "fee." Think of it more as a subscription... If you didn't have the fee the game couldnt continue beacuse of the staff that it requires to add new content each month. i guess they could have no monthly fee, but the game would suffer...

In screenshots, I've seen that the game take place at night time and in daylight....so i'm just wondering; what determines this? Does it acually get lighter and darker as it would in real-life in real-time?? does the game have 24 hour days??

From what I read, you dont have to "pay" anything to start, you just sort of reserve it with your credit card, and then your first month is free. I believe after you initially sign up you cna then switch to some sort of pay card and not have to use you're CC but I'm not sure

I got the game, to it all registered and everything, and installed. And it tells me that there's a problem with my graphics card. Either it's incompatible, or I just need to update my drivers.

So I update my drivers. AND NOW with those drivers, whenever I get into Windows, the screen goes blank, and looks like it's in sleep mode, even though I can hear the sounds coming from my computer that it's running, and people are messaging me.

So I do a system restore, to go back to how I had it before. So I can see Windows now, but I can't run the game!

I have a NVIDIA Riva TNT2, and the system requirements are GeForce 2 Series or ATI Radeon 8500 Series video card.

It just doesn't make sense to me that Windows will work with an older driver, but not a newer updated one....anyone have any clue to what's wrong???

I miss PC gaming. There were so many mini-games along the way before you could play the actual game. :(

You don't remember TNT? I think they died before 3DFX.

3DFX was such a good company, but they lost a lot in making their own chips. :(

I got it last night and only had time to play it for an hour or so, but it's great, even without interacting with other people. (But isn't that part of the point?) The costume possibilities are nearly endless, but the power list isn't. (No wall-crawling?) There's a great tutorial, and after that you're off and running. You can seek out missions, or you can just run around the city GTA style, stopping random crimes. Thumbs up.

Hulk - sorry, you can not randomly attack civilians.

JC - similar to KOTOR in that you target an enemy and then select a power, but you have a bit more control of your character's movement in combat.

Superman - not sure what to say to you. The costume possibilties are endless. Maybe something wrong with your disk? (Love your quote BTW. Great Punisher moment.)

Are there telepathy powers? If so, how exactly do they work? How good is the name filter (I want something like SWG, ala no "Hulk 5634"s should be there).

There are plenty of mind powers (causing enemies to flee in fear, turn on each other, pass out, etc.) but I haven't tried them.

The name filter works pretty well. Before I made the guy I'm using now, I designed the Punisher. It wouldn't let me use "Punisher" but "Frank Castle" went through no problem!
