Oh Beast just looks NASTY in X-Men Civil War. This has gone on long enough - BRING BACK THE APE!!

New Avengers in New X-Men? Umm ok...http://www.newsarama.com/ubb/confused.gif I was one of the supporters of the new team but thus far I am dissapointed overall, death death, more death and New Avengers...sigh. The book is in serious danger of getting stuck in a rut, and where is the title left after this creative team finishes their run?

The Runaways on the cover of DB Civil War..

Gert is missing and is it Victor or Josh who is also not on the cover? Can't make it out...that's what happens when you don;t use costumes! lol

Gotta say July looks like it'll be a cool month. I'm really looking forward to the Runaways/ Young Avengers crossover for Civil War. Actually I'm looking forward to all things Civil War in general.

The first teaser pages for Uncanny looked good. Polaris is obviously powered up again, but has she regained her powers of magnetism or will she have some new power as a result of whatever happens in The Blood of Apocalypse story?

The cover of adjectiveless has me pretty excited too. I wonder what role Northstar and Aurora are going to play? Are both still brainwashed and evil or...? Doesn't it look like Bachalo has Rogue dressed up in the outfit he drew for her in last year's Age Of Apocalypse 6-issue limited series?

Which Runaway is gonna bite it?!!

I really don't like how much "The Magician" is featuring in these upcoming Ultimate X issues...there better be a good payoff, there's more than enuff members on the team already!!

:up:Tieri on New Excalibur = double thumbs up.

And yes, that drawing of Cat Beast is awful. So is the picture of Deadpool. Good lord, ZIRCHER, come back!

The cover to Civil War: X-Men looks sweet, though. A schism between Cyke and Bishop? Nuts. Speaking of Bishop, I miss the homicidal Bishop that we had after AoA converged with normal continuity. And in those pages that are shown... holy crap. Caliban, Shatterstar, and Domino? ! ! ! ! :D

Peter David will be writing Quicksilver again, if possibly only for a bit.

Tieri used Chamber for Weapon X. He was kind of a big player when the book got offed, and he showed back up in the ending mini that came out late last... summer?

I wouldn't be surprised if Chamber gets repowered. I'd condemn Tieri for it, but I wouldn't weep.

I agree. But if Quicksilver is going to be offering Rictor the chance to get his powers back, does that mean that Son Of M ends with Quicksilver still in possession of the Terrigen Mists? I hope Marvel doesn't float this mist thing around as an M Day loophole so that whenever they really want a mutant back they send around Quicksilver with the mists. If that's the case get him over to Jubilee and Chamber pronto! :)

I really like the cover. Bishop vs. Cyclops. Interesting. Personally, I don't see how any of the X-Men would be okay with registration.

El Bastardo
04-18-2006, 05:38 PM
^ The more I think about it...

ESPECIALLY Bishop should be against it. Wouldn't mutant registration somewhat mimic the future that he came from? Or am I mistaken?

KingOfDreams
04-18-2006, 05:44 PM
I think it would. After all, that M on his face is a brand. Even goody two-shoes Cyclops should be against it. But out of both of them, I think he's more likely than Bishop to be for it. But then again, Bishop is a law and order kind of guy so maybe he's follow the government. But basically, being okay with this registration is just being hypocritical at best for mutants.

El Bastardo
04-18-2006, 06:05 PM
Yeah, I figured the same.

Unless there's finally something in the registration that would be good for the mutants. Something better than being stuck in a camp and watched by Sentinels, for example.

Hasn't there already been a similar storyline in the X-Books with the Mutant Registation Act? So this expands it to include all Superheros...retread. Bishop above all others..lawman or not...should be against it. He has seen the outcome of such registration. He lost his sister to it. They will probably make him for it...

Lol. I can admire the logic of that last line.
