Will the GREEN CRYSTAL be in SR? [Archive] - The Superhero Hype! Boards

...So far, we've only seen Lex hold clear crystals in his hand... What about that green crystal?!?!? That was the one that stood out from all the others... it was the one that created the fortress, right.. Do you think that they'll have it in Returns?? I TRUELY hope so, it would be a shame not to.. It's a BIG/HUGE part of both Superman 1 & 2.. Have any of you thought at all about this, and what's your comments on the matter?

Hmm, never really thought about this. I don't know. I guess it depends on how much Singer's taking from the first two films. I really don't care one way or the other, but it probably will be in the film in some form, I would think.

I would say that it might possibly be whats used to create the new krypton on earth somehow. I'm sure they will try to use it in Returns in some way.

highly doubt it, it appears the green crystal is the clear one now. Probably to avoid confusion with Kryptonite.

Yeah, seems its clear now (clark finding it in his pod in the barn... Lex holding it in the FOS).

I dont really mind, I understand the difference between it and Kryptonite now but when I was a kid it had me confused as all hell.

even so (if prototype colors are usually correct anyway prototype in sculptures usually have to do with structure such as molding fizings so the charater loooks accurate.)

Well, I would love to see the green crystal in this movie... it was very uniqe and played a VERY importened role in both superman 1 & 2!! It created the fortress in superman1, it restored his powers in superman 2.. It was the one that "called to him" as he says in superman 2 while explaining everything to Lois... It SHOULD be in RETURNS as well!

When you see Jor-El lay it carefully in the spaceship at the begining of superman 1, it truely shows that the green crystal is his personal gift to Kal-El... It contains powers that the other crystals doesn't have.. For example to power to create the fortress.. and it contains the last bit of Kryptonian power (I think).. Or at least that's what I WOULD think, seeing how it restores his powers in superman 2... I just think it would be a mistake not to have it in RETURNS, seeing how it played such a gigantic role in both superman 1 & 2... It should be that Lex gets a hold of it, and at the end doesn't quite know the following of his actions because of what was ment for Kal-El inside of this special green crystal, and something UNforseen should go wrong... Something that Lex didn't see coming, EVEN THOUGH he is the greatest criminal mind on earth! THIS IS WHAT I THINK.

I asked him last night actually. He said that he hadn't opened it yet because he doesn't have word or that that adiword.
