I have to go with the polish (red) one. I prefer the colors, and it sort of plays off of Phoenix, and gives her more presence (even with the small placement). In the (blue) one she has no presence what-so-ever. She seems SO out of place, since the rest of the poster is blue/black. I don't like the pose Wolverine is in though. If they took the pose of Wolverine from the (blue) one, and put it into the (red) one it'd be near perfect, IMO. :)

Second. Hugh has a better pose. Angel has better wings. I can see the floor that they're walking on, so it doesn't look like Angel is slanted. The position is just a lot better.

Actually I'd love the background of the Polish one with the characters from the Romanian one. Anyone care to do a manip?

Also they put Halle & Hugh's names on the posters because in countries like Romania & Poland people have no idea who the other people are. If you ask anyone in Romania who James Marsden or Kelsey Grammar is they're gonna give you a very puzzled look. Patrick Steward & Ian Mckellen might also be familiar to fans in eastern Europe.

Overall poster problem is the question it asks.
"Whose side will you be on?"
should be
"Who will you stand with?" <---within context of picture

And the basic problem
Shows no division between sides.
You are basically asked to choose a side with only the X-Men featured

-They should have had the poster with Half X-men Half Brotherhood.

As an art major myself, i find it disturbing how blatant faults are present in both posters.

The Polish one. Better background, better colors, way better tagline. I mean, "Whose side will you be on?" sounds like it was written by a kid or something. And Angel is costume is a plus.

I'm just disappointed that Iceman didn't make it onto either of the posters :p

Also, as someone mentioned before, there is no "divisive" feeling in the poster, you don't get the impression that there is a choice between the X-Men and the Brotherhood.

I like the 2nd one better, only because the blue tint fits better with what this series has had already. The fiery one, although it looks badass, is too much of a departure.

A blue / silver tint has always been trademark of this franchise, and I find myself liking the 2nd one better because of the blue / silver tint.

But they both look awesome.

I did expect to see a better poster. The international one is composited a little better, but it looks too much like the X2 poster.
The Polish poster with the Golden Gate bridge and red color has more of this war feeling, and the red also relates a bit to Phoenix.
It's also a pitty that they didn't put ALL the X Men on them. They could leave Xavier out, because he's not involved in the action (I guess) and put Colossus and Iceman in his place.
Jean's positioning is also a bit strange. As the Phoenix, you'd expect her to be more prominent on the poster, maybe floating over the X Men or something. I like the pose though.

I do like the overal concept of these posters. Just like the one for X2, you get this idea of this entire army of mutants marching forward, into battle, which looks really cool.
I hope that after X3 is released there will be a poster like that with every mutant from all the movies. :cool:

uhm, perhaps this is the stupidiest thing ever posted, but... Did we get some kind of confirmation that these two posters were real? Because they look "strange" to me... It's not that great art, while every other promotion from the movie, altough maybe late, was excellent... And how come Ian McKellen is not right there on front? isn't he one of the greatest star of this movie?

as an art student, i would say that your poster is OK. it just doesnt feel balanced. you should move collossus where iceman is and move iceman next to cyclops and kitty but in a better position.

the posters overall, the characters shouldnt be in different positions. this is one other thing i saw bad about them. if they are walking, they should all be walking, not posing. i also hate how professor x is in the posters. YES..hes important to the x-men but i hate how they put him in there.

But looking at them side by side like this, I would have actually preferred the GG bridge background of the first one and just having the bottom part of the second poster (Storm and Hugh's feet) fade out to shadows.

And Hugh's assymetrical hair in the second pic really annoys the hell out of me.

The manips to combine the styles of the Polish and the international poster are good, but I'd like something different. I love the "Take a Stand" posters though, so unique and different than the other X-Men posters.

The blue tone to it gives it a feel just like the other movies. Consistancy = teh good in my opinion.
