Has anyone picked issue yet?
I picked it up yesterday and I'm somewhat excited by it.
I won't give away what happens, but the art is good, and the story is believable. I'm liking it, plus, one of the covers has Arcee on it :P

yeah, i picked it up, but its only mediocre. i think beast wars is better, and maybe infiltration could be better if it picked up the pace a little bit, or something happened in it. i think the gi joe crossovers are cool, but this is not my favorite one.

It's too early for me to pass judgement on this one. Volumes 1 and 2 feel like the BTTF trilogy to me - the first story was pretty good, but the second story was just confusing (though seeing Jazz as a pimpmobile was pretty cool).

I'm not minding the art so much, as for the story, I worry about how they're going to fix the monstrosity they've made with SepentO.R. Small decepticons shouldn't take out full sized autobots, sorry :P

Well, it's best not to take these stories TOO seriously. Volume I alone has several improbable bouts: Storm Shadow killing Trailbreaker only to get his @$$ handed to him by Bumblebee, the entire G.I. JOE team hammering into Megatron , and Snake-Eyes dropping Starscream in less than a heartbeat...although the latter is probably the most likely. :D

When I first started reading Art of War I wasn't pleased. But since then I've accepted that the point of this whole miniseries is "fanwank" and not to take it even remotely seriously.
Looking at it that way, I'm liking it more. Serpent O.R. has lots of story-potential and it was great to finally see Pirhanacon again in some capacity.

You man in the three frames it took predaking to kick his sorry butt?
I mean seriously....they sucked in the cartoons, they get no love in the comics, and now predaking just romped all over him, jolly stomping him into the ground. Sad I tell you :(

True enough.
But I'll take Pirhanacon-getting-ass-kicked over no-Pirhanacon-at-all.
I think the Predacons get a little too much attention. Besides looking real cool, did they ever really do anything impressive? Not in the cartoon, they didn't. Skylynx routinely kicked their asses.

Exactly my point....we don't see the Stunticons or Constructicons in near the roles they used to perform. Let's face it, Devastator was the muscle for the decepticons until the Predacons turned up....now Devastator is as effective as Defensor or Superior...
