I still think that the X3 logo is kind of........dare I say it....cheap looking. Three claws..wow. Simple enough I guess. It worked well for the teaser poster, when you got Logan's whole fist, but by itself, it looks weird.

i don't know why wolverine's arms are so far out from his body

if he's walking they shouldn't be that far out...

if he's getting sprung up to attack, they should be further out and pointing outwards...

it looks like he's in between movements and just strikes me as looking strange.

plus the costume really does make him look short

Like it or not, Hugh/Wolverine is a lot of the draw. Some say Wolverine is the most popular X-Men character, and Hugh is an A-list actor and I know plenty of people who go to see the X-Men movies just to see Hugh and wouldn't go if he wasn't in it. That's the way it works with a lot of A-listers - people go to see them if they star in the movie whether they are interested in the movie or not. And like I said, I know a lot of people that are going more than once just to see Hugh.

X-Men: The Dark Pheonix Saga-> Jean returns as the Pheonix. The entire film revolves arround her. Iceman and Kitty and Rogue join the X-Men. Wolverine doesnt let Jubilee come. Jean finaly realizes her destiny and bursts into flames and the flame blastsoff to the sun. Cyclops is Lonely. Then in the end. It hints at Appocalypse. Characters: Prof X, Wolverine, Pheonix, cyclops, beast, Nightcrawler, Rogue, Iceman, ShadowCat Magneto and half of Brotherhood (Mystique, Pyro, Colossus, Gambit) (Shadow Cat and Nightcrawler Flirt like crazy and kiss in end) Storm (Storm and Wolverine develop romance) Angel. Younger people; Jubilee

X-Men: Age of Appocalypse-> A great evil is Rising. Appocalypse. Wolverine Calls on his old friend Kieros whom he fought with in the Vietnam war. The X-men prepare for distruction arround the globe. Autumn from the younger children at Xiavier's School For the Gifted Youngsters is taken in by Appocalypse as a Horsemen. He also takes Angel gives him new and better wings, and Plague and Kieros. The X-Men must fight for the world's future. Rogue, storm and jubilee go looking for more muntants. They find Callisto. She helps them track down a child nammed leech who can shut off mutants powers. Rogue takes his abbility briefly and she and other x-men fight appocalypse in his pyramid. They come in the pyramid while he is using an earlier version of cerebro to turn every human into a mutant slave of his. When he awakens his powers are almost none. They battle him ( the four horsemen become allies of the X-men again) Magneto, Xiaver and appocalypse are in a battle of their own now. A greater energy comes down now. A Fiery bird. It weakens Appocalypse to 0% energy now and Xiaver knocks him back into tomb telechenetically and Magneto shuts the tomb magnetically. It is over. The world is saved.
Characters; Magneto, brotherhood (Mystique, Pyro) Xiavier, X-men (Wolverine, Storm, Callisto, Leech, Cyclops, Rogue, Shadow Cat, Nightcrawler, Beast, everyone else I mentioned bassically) appocalypse and the four horsemen.

Now that is how it should be!

Just trying to help brainstorm...maybe "Jean/Phoenix" then underneath...what's that quote?..."She was the weakest, and the strongest. The dependent, the nurturer. They wanted all of this from her and more." Maybe there is something in that quote you could use but I can't remember it word for word??? :)

I think it's referring to Wolverine: he was an outcast (and comparing with the rest of X-Men, he still is), but he's also a hero. Anyway, we need to see another poster to be sure of this. :)

As I said before (re-read my post), we have to wait until another poster with another character appears and THEN we will be able to guess if it's a tagline for all the posters or there's a different one for each character.

I've re-read the poster a lot of times and I still say we have to wait for another poster. That "Make a Choice" is the sentence Storm said to Logan in the first movie. It could be also a tagline for all the characters. It's the "Outcast/Hero" what tickles me. "Make a Choice" would be a tagline for all the characters but the "Outcast/Hero" could change.

I was thinking of one for Rogue: Gifted/Cursed.
The suggestion for the Phoenix poster is great, and I am wondering how the "tormented"-angle will be be played out in the movie. Will she suffer from her newfound powers? We know so little of Phoenix and her motivations.

I love the second one the best.I have a feeling the filmmakers and Fox want to keep the Phoenix flames/flight exclusively for the film, so i think there will no promo stuff with the fire effects and all.

i'll never understand why the x-men movies have always failed to make even ONE dynamic poster. the spiderman movies have cool posters that look like classic comic book covers. all i want is one team shot that doesnt look like they're just stading around (or worse, just their faces).

with a little planning ahead, the marketing team could have done so much.
