Welcome to Hype Deathmatch!

Think MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch, except with Hype posters. Each match will get its own thread and last 2 days. Whichever poster has the highest votes gets to move on to the next Round. Multiple votes by the same user on different names is allowed, but if the match ends in a tie...all multiple votes will be discounted to determine the winner. *

Most of the players are picked from the first 5 pages of the Members List, well known posters/posters with high post counts/mods/trolls etc. Don't be discouraged, there's always Hype Deathmatch 2. :)

Round 1: 50 players/ 24 matches => 24 winners move onto Round 2.
Round 2: 24 players/ 12 matches => 12 winners move onto Round 3.
Round 3: 12 players/ 6 matches => 6 winners move onto Round 4.
Round 4: 6 players/ 3 matches => 3 winners move onto Final 3-Way Match.

A lot of people like Freeway 4. There's something about the interface on that app that bugs me for some reason. I went from hand-coding sites to using Dreamweaver when I was doing some internal site design on my company's intranet awhile back and really liked the control over the code that it offered. It's since really evolved into a powerful tool for novices and more advanced site designers alike. You can always check out Nvu (http://www.nvu.com/), which is freeware and very cool. Rapidweaver (http://www.realmacsoftware.com/rapidweaver/) is also very powerful and fairly inexpensive. The important part is to find something that you feel fits well within your workflow and creativity style and gives you the tools that feel intuitive to you to help you create your sites quickly and easily. Best advice I could give is to give the 30-day free trial most of these have a whirl and see which one you like the most. :)

I'm not sure how much control you get when making flash, can we keep the same frame lengths (tried to make them last long enough for the average reader to finish reading the strips, not all of them have the same frame length since some don't have as many words), but make it stop on the last frame, instead of repeating like in the gif, and just let the music continue with the last frame?

I'm not sure how much control you get when making flash, can we keep the same frame lengths (tried to make them last long enough for the average reader to finish reading the strips, not all of them have the same frame length since some don't have as many words), but make it stop on the last frame, instead of repeating like in the gif, and just let the music continue with the last frame?

Just don't make the music very loud. I HATE it when Flash stuff loads up and the sound on the music is so friggin' loud it bursts my eardrums. If the music is too loud, I WILL vote against you on your next round, Calvin. :)
