Welcome to Hype Deathmatch!

Think MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch, except with Hype posters. Each match will get its own thread and last 2 days. Whichever poster has the highest votes gets to move on to the next Round. Multiple votes by the same user on different names is allowed, but if the match ends in a tie...all multiple votes will be discounted to determine the winner. *

Most of the players are picked from the first 5 pages of the Members List, well known posters/posters with high post counts/mods/trolls etc. Don't be discouraged, there's always Hype Deathmatch 2. :)

Game Outline:
Round 1: 50 players/ 24 matches => 24 winners move onto Round 2.
Round 2: 24 players/ 12 matches => 12 winners move onto Round 3.
Round 3: 12 players/ 6 matches => 6 winners move onto Round 4.
Round 4: 6 players/ 3 matches => 3 winners move onto Final 3-Way Match.
Final 3-Way Match: 3 players/ 1 match => 1 winner

Saph was a bit of a troll in the Superman boards. He routinely got into with other posters. The last straw came when he totally lost it and went crazy one day.

Because Saph was a pain in the butt who came back with multiple names trolling.

And again, as far as I know, you're not on the list. If you were, you wouldn't be here as the 'list' is people who are to be banned on sight - you know, like Esther used to be. It also includes people like Spider-Freddie. It's not permanent either. For example, Brodie and Excel reached an agreement, so as long as Brodie doesn't do something stupid and break it, he'll be back in about a week. The same thing has been done with other posters, and by most, if not all, the moderators (Holly herself is an example of this as she reached an agreement with Malice).

In many cases (though not all), we are willing to work with someone in order for them to remain at the Hype! if they agree to certain terms.

See, this is exactly the reason why complaints begin to fall on deaf ears, because when something like this happens, many posters automatically go looking for slights/conspiracies/maliciousness/etc. as the reason something was done... and when a mod replies, 'I'm sorry, it was an accident', they don't believe it (and even if the mod corrects it posters will say that they 'caught' the mod being unfair and the mod had to back down), so what's the point of even bothering to comment at all.
