So:
OUT OF THESE ONES, which is the best DC superhero that is either named after an animal or has an animal theme?
Which is the fiercest? And which is your favorite?

Animal Man.
Second is B'Wanna Best
Lobo isn't patterned after an animal, or even named after one.
or are we just doing specific animals?
El Papagayo isn't really a superhero as muc has he is a bandito.
For the benefit of people who don't know, "Papagayo" is Spanish for "parrot."

You know Spanish, yet you don't know that "lobo" is Spanish for "wolf"? Cual es tu problema?

He might be named Wolf but he isn't themed on a Wolf. He's called Wolf because he is a pisstake of Wolverine.

According to the Main Man himself, "Lobo" is a name given to him by the Khunds, meaning "He who devours your entrails and thoroughly enjoys it." So, he's named for his violence, not an animal that people from space wouldn't know about anyway.
Seriously. The Wolf thing is a conscious reference to Wolverine, but in the comics that has nothing to do with it.

Hawkman. Just recently started reading this title. Finally found all of the new series and the JSA issues where he returns. What a fascinating character! A good writer could really do a lot with him. And for the most part I really, really enjoyed the recent series...a little disappointed that they changed it to Hawkgirl though.

Unsurprising. You knew all the general comic readers were gonna say Batman and all the uppity Vertigo lovers were gonna say Animal Man.
Me, I prefer Vixen. She's like Animal Man, but hawt! ;)

My vote really is for Vixen, but since she's not up there and there's no "other" choice, I voted for Wildcat. He's badass.

Animal Man, but I voted Batman. I'm both uppity and a general comics reader. :)

Wildcat would totally take Bronze Tiger. Bronzer Tiger would do some crazy kung-fu stuff and Wildcat would just laugh and Hal Jordan his ass with a right hook. :p

Everybody likes to be different. Only if you conform will you truly be doing something unique. ;)

Yeah, the Bronzer Tiger would, but Bronze Tiger would totally kick Wildcat's ass. We're talking a top five martial artist here.

You snooze, you lose, pal. But let us be unified in our love for the Tiger, not seperated.
