Robin's one of the worst IMO. The Green Arrow is kinda cool though.

The Question

I was coming up with ideas for an Ultimate DCU (not having read the article), and I came up something for Teen Titans that was rather similar. Albiet, alot cooler. :o

I like the mask...don't like the pants though, they don't fit the outfit...and seeing as they did Batman as more of an urban commando, they should have done the same for robin

The Question
04-28-2006, 08:38 AM
Well, from what I read of the article, their idea was to have Ultimate Robin be completely unconnected to Ultimate Batman.

That leather jacket on Robin is pretty painful too. It's ten years of comic-fashion date. :o

I kind of like the Kingdom Come S aswell. My idea for an Ultimate Superman suit would be similar, but the boots would be blue and atatched to his suit, and his hands would be covered in blue.

I think that's supposed to be Aqualad, but made more like royalty since he is the sidekick to the King of Atlantis.

Actually, in the Ultimate DC thing Wizard had, Aquaman and Green Arrow are teenagers and members of the Titans, not adults and members of the Justice League.

I like the Green Lantern design, and the Batman design kinda reminds me of the Red Son version.

I've always LOVED the Ultimate GL design. It actually looks like a uniform that a space cop would wear (IMHO of course).

Speedball
05-02-2006, 07:04 PM
Yeah i like the GL design too. maybe DC should change Jon Stewarts costume to resemble it. He hasn't had a costume change in awhile i believe.

The Question
05-02-2006, 07:10 PM
I liked most of the designs, but some of nthe backstories I'm not too thrilled with. I heard the Superman idea is to use Smallville as a vague backstory, and the Wonder Woman one has her being a sleeper agent for a Themyscarian invasion force. Personally, I like my ideas better.

Speedball
05-02-2006, 07:13 PM
Eww... that wonder woman idea sucks. I like my themyscarians secluded and alienated.

The Question
05-02-2006, 07:21 PM
My idea would have had Themyscera be populated by both men and women, but women were held in a higher regard. Through advanced eugenics and adding preformance enhancing herbs to their diet, all Themyscerians are anturally stronger, faster, and tougher than the rest of humanity, although the women tend to be stronger than the men. I'd say the average Themyscarian woman (remember, all women on the island are trained to be warriors from an early age, so they're all in excelent shape) can lift around two tons or so. Eventually, our satalite technology gets to the point where we can detect them, and we meet with their government. The queen must choose an ambasador to the outside world. By Themyscerian law, the nation is represented by their greatest and wisest warrior, who is bestowed the greatest gifts and secrets of the nation, to assure safety from malevolent forces abroad. Diana, Hypolita's daughter, proves to be the greatest warrior, and goes through a series of rituals involving the exposure to mutinagenic vapors and prayer to the godesses of the greek pantheon that have been improved upon over the centuries, greatly enhancing her physical and cognative functions to well beyond even an Amazon's limit (putting her in Superman's power class). She then becomes ambasidor to the outside world.

Speedball

Somewhat, the Batman title definantly. I can see how the All-star Superman comic can fit into contiuity though. i love the art work in that book. makes want to go out and buy the Authority books drawn by Quitely.

The Question
05-02-2006, 07:54 PM
Don't they have an ultimate style line in the all star titles?

Not really. All Star Batman is vaguely Ultimate, but All Star Superman is just a very very pretty looking Elseworld. Not particularly "Ultimate."

ampersand
05-02-2006, 07:58 PM
What qualifies it as ultimate then? Do the characters have to be "dark" and "gritty" and "badass"?

The Question
05-02-2006, 08:01 PM
No. Hell, the All Star characters a "darker" and "grittyer" and "badasser" than I'd like. Ultimate just means that, oh, I don't know. It just doesn't really feel like an Ultimate book. Batman feels too much like the egular univers, except the characters are rather out of character.

Question...read the title of the thread...it says..:

"Does Anyone Have the Pics of..." So it's okay for me to ask.

If you don't like anyone asking to find other pictures...then make a motion to change the name of this thread.

I like the Flash, Superman, and Batman & GL. designs...the M. Manhunter and Wonder Woman...leave much to be desired...but the Titans design have much to be desired.
Hope they make a series of the Flash, Superman, Batman and GL....

Hey does anyone know how to upload pictures? Because I had some pics for an ultimate version of some heros that I wanted to show you, and I have them on file on my computer, but it won't let me copy and paste the images, and if I try to attach a file, it will only let it be 150mb, which means the pic has to be about 5cm by 5cm. As you can see by the below attachment, which I didn't mean to attach because it was too small but I don't know how to get rid of it now so whatever.

Anyways though, I was thinking of a way to do an Ultimate Batman, and if I could, I'd have him wear a costume that made him appear more monster like. The suit would make him appear like his real skin was grey and course, and I don't know if you can see this in my sketch but, his arm spikes would look like natural appendages. Also, in the comics it would always depict him in heavy shadow. He would never be able to be seen very well, to enhance his urban legen myth. No big jim lee full spreads where you see every detail, Batman would really be a creature of the night. I'd focus more on his physcological effect on criminals and play up the urban legen moster myth part. And no robin.

Well, the way I'd do it, the suit would be like tactical military armor. You know, made of very tough but lightweight materials, and properly armored in the right places. Plus, a full face mask and opaque white eye lenses. It's designed so that in the dark, he looks like a shadowy wraith, of course. I mean, all black. So, at night, you don't see any of the details. Just the outline, and the white eyes.

And no robin.

Oh, I don't see why not. All you'd need to do is alter his backstory slightly, change his costume a bit, and he'd work fine.

Oh yeah, I'd have the suit I was thinking of be armor too, but also serve as a disguse to have him appear more like a creature, and I really don't mind Robin, but I wouldn't introduce him for a while at first, and if you do want to introduce him change the backstory like you said.

Cool. I'm just thinking, he'd add stuff like the ears and the scaloped cape to give a bat like outline, so at night in the dark, that's all they'd see. The outline.

and I really don't mind Robin, but I wouldn't introduce him for a while at first, and if you do want to introduce him change the backstory like you said.

I wouldn't change the backstory completely. I'd just maybe make him around fifteen instead of thirteen, and change the costume. Plus, a few little changes here and there.

My idea for Ultimate Superman.
Kal el landed on Earth in the very late 1940s or very early 1950s and was found by a younr couple ages 18 and 19, or so. The young couple, John and Martha Kent, had recently gotten married. As the child grew so did the Earth Sun's effect on his alien DNA.
Clark, the name his adopted parents gave him, slowly developed a power here and there. At first his current abilities were strangthened. He could run faster, was stronger, see further, hear better, he was at the peak of human perfection. But as time went on he gained more powers and his current powers grew stronger. Over time he became super humanly strong, fast, have super vission and hearing, and then could fly, was virtually indestructable, had various extra vissions such as heat vission and x-ray vission. Another power Clark and his parent's were never fully aware of was the sun's effects on his aging.
Clark always looked younger than the other children, thats because the sun also slowed down his aging. And as Clark grew, spending more time on Earth under it's yellow sun, his aging continued to slow down.
Now in the year 2006, Clark starts his new career as the Daily Planet's newest reporter. Clark is now at full power and looks only 20 or 23 while his parents are in their 70s and 80s

Just an idea I had, thought I'd write it down here.
