Yeah, although I had only planned to watch the first "Matrix" the night I got it, my friends and I ended up watching the entire trilogy in one sitting...we finished at about 6:15 AM. :oldrazz: The picture/sound quality on this set is A-freaking-MAZING!!

And yeah, I saw that news about the THD discs...god, I do NOT want those things to happen at all. But hey, at least you'll finally get "Batman Begins" on your format...or you could just buy an HD DVD player for $299 anywhere ;)

THD discs are a type of disc that Warner Brothers has produced as a "solution" to the format war. The discs are double-sided with one side being Blu-ray and the other side being HD DVD. This means that the disc will work on your player whether you have a HD DVD or a Blu-ray player, but it also means that you'll always have another side to the disc that you're paying for that you'll never use.

So yeah, a THD of "Batman Begins" will work in your BD player...but it'll cost more than if it were just a regular Blu-ray disc (though, by how much we don't know yet), and it'll have HD DVD on the other side, which you will never need unless you get an HD DVD player (when they win ;)).

Hmm...looking at Amazon, it looks like the Widescreen version is the cheaper one (at the moment anyway).

I cannot stand Fool Screen versions of movies anymore, after realizing just how much of the picture you lose in doing so, whether you have a widescreen tv or not.

Saw the movie last night. Good film, a little creepy, and some nice gore. Directing was good too and liked the acting.

Too bad MGM treated it like **** and dumped it DTV. Hell, it was suppose to have some extras and MGM didn't put them on the disc. Oh well, they suck and got taken over by Sony.

Yes, Bruce is in the movie, Ash. Nothing but a supporting role.
